Dead... he's dead
My body burns, sweat oozes out before it freezes over causing shivers to erupt all around.
Blood dripping between eyes... those eyes.
Water dripping onto my cracked lips, making a salty crusted mixture. The wind blows past it trying to help, trying to get through and replenish my deprived lungs. Sadly all it does is dry the tears causing a painfully tight feeling to strike my lips.
Eyes... dead.. Dead eyes.. His dead eyes, he is dead
My mind won't stop spinning the constant tumbles and turns causing crashes which set my nerves a blaze. Feeling each and every one all at once, I try to control them but my body doesn't seem to listen as it remains completely still.
No. Killed, murdered, terminated, extirpated.. Slaughtered...
My head burns, my mind fuming as it exacerbates my body or what's left of it... the heat is too much.. One after another they begin to shut down, causing me to feel heavy. My eyes feel too big for my sockets as they roll to the back of my head, black dots and silver streaks lining what's left of my vision.
I-I... didn't have a choice...
"NEVAEH."
My brain is the last to go.
5 hours earlier
I woke up to him leaving. He didn't tell me where he was going.
I sigh.
More like wouldn't.
It's been 30 minutes since I've just been laying in his bed, wondering what I've done in my life thus far and how it took a drastic turn in a direction which I can't decipher.
I mean, after so many years of living in secret these three guys just uncover it, just like that, so easily. Granted Adriano's part in that was a little of my fault for not having self-control but still.
I groan, rolling over in the bed before scratching my head. Glancing around the room, I think about Hunter again.
He was acting pretty strange before he left, being all professional and serious but with a hint of mischief laced in. It seemed like he was trying to hide something.
I sit up looking at the clock on the bedside table. I frown.
He's been out for a while. Maybe I should text him or something to see if he's okay.
Getting up I go into my bag to grab my phone but I feel nothing but the empty pocket.
I furrow my eyebrows.
Huh.
Rummaging through the rest of my pockets, I still can't seem to find my mini computer.
Too lazy to actually care, I pull out my computer.
It'll show up eventually.
Going back to the bed and sitting on it I turn it on, watching the bright white Apple logo glow.
Good thing I have this, though it's not the newest or greatest model it does it's job.
After logging in I open my iMessages to text Hunter.
What?
My most recent text was a group chat... with the boys. I don't think I remember that..
Clicking on it, the vibrant blue block invades my vision.
I messaged them first?
Confusion frames my face as I begin to read the text. My eyes gradually get bigger as I read more and more of this... kidnapping?
The tips of my fingers feel prickly as cottonmouth captures my throat.
What the hell is this?
I reread it over and over again each time my body getting colder and colder as the sweat cakes in. My hands begin to shake uncontrollably.
W-what is going on? This can't be real...
"Where's my phone?"
I need to find my phone, none of this is making any sense. Yeah, that's it. Just find it and everything will be alright.
Going around Hunter's room I look under and around everything. I look on the bed, taking apart the pillow cases, removing all the sheets then checking under the mattress.
Nothing.
Moving to the desk, I look under and around everything on top of it then I move them completely, throwing the items on the bed. I go for the drawers, rummaging through it before removing to pour out its contents on the bed as well.
I groan, rubbing my face.
The closet is next as I look through every inch of it before taking everything apart and looking again.
"Fuck!"
By the time I'm done it looks like a tornado hit the room. Everything is all over the bed, piled on and spilled over.
All this and I still don't have my phone.
Groaning again, I fall back on the head. "Ouch, fuck." I roll my eyes at myself.
Dumbass.
Turning around I pick on the thing I fell on, the desk's drawer, and just about throw it across the room when I notice something attached to the back of it.
I furrow my eyebrows. "What?"
Grabbing the handle, I turn it around and come face to face with a matte black barrel.
I completely freeze, everything stopping as I try to understand what it is that's actually in front of me.
Then like water breaking through a damn all the thoughts come pouring down.
I scream, throwing the drawer across the room.
Then I go stiff as soon as the handle leaves my hand.
Oh shit, the safety.
Jumping after it, I luckily grab the drawer before it falls to the floor.
I look at the gun cautiously. With a shaky breath and shakier fingers, I take the tape off the gun and drawer which connects them.
Dropping the drawer, I look at the gun intently to make sure the safety is on. With the help of gangster movies and it being outlined in red I'm able to easily find it.
A huge weight leaves my shoulders.
The safety is on.
After that concern is gone another 100 appear, 1 especially flashing red in my mind.
There's a gun in my hands...
My stomach fills up with cotton as sweat coats my palms causing the gun to slip. My stomach drops as I tighten my grip.
Why is there a gun in my hand? Why is it here? Who's is it? Was it obtained legally? Has it been used?!
My cheat hammers violently as all these questions wrap around my lungs, squeezing the air from it.
I frantically look around the room.
Where is Hunter!
In an instant the text comes to mind. I blink it away, look towards my laptop. Digging it up from all the other things through onto the bed I reread the message.
"Cornwall Street and Cherry Drive.." I mumble to myself.
I take in a shaky breath before glancing at the gun.
Okay, time to figure some things out.
⚀
Parking on the side, I feel my insides twist as I see Leon's car. Running my palms along the steering wheel I look around for anything weird.
"He said the alleyway, right.." I stop to glance at the gun in the passenger's seat.
For some reason I decided to take it with me.
The uncertainty of the situation contorts my stomach as the temperature around seems to increase then decrease sporadically.
..maybe I should bring it just incase.
With shaky and light fingers I grab the weapon and put it in my hoodie pocket. After that, I get out of my car, the piece of metal feeling extremely as it sags in the pouch. My body seems to sag with it.
Walking toward the alley I start to hear familiar voices causing my skin to grow slick and taut.
"..she look better than ever. Even with her wearing a ridiculous disguise, I could still see the outline of her delicious, curvy body."
I hear the sounds of people struggling before ultimately being tamed before Hunter chuckles. "Then I see a guy standing next to her and for some odd reason he looks vaguely familiar but I can't pinpoint where I know him from. It actually isn't until he pushes me against the wall and threatens me that it clicks."
A painful pinch begins to tug at my chest.
"Leon Norton."
I glance around the corner and freeze at the seen in front of me.
The words fade in blurry together as the conversation continues. My senses seeming to work correctly but not, controls getting lost in translation.
All the boy sare pinned down by these scary, buff men. They have a good grip on them and don't seem to budge even when one or all of them try to break free and fight the person causing their anguish.
I glance over..
My lungs close up almost completely as my skin breaks out in shivers.
Hunter.
He's sporting his usual black shirt and blue jeans, his hands tucked firmly into his pockets. His demeanor makes it as if this is just a normal outing. Everything about him gives nothing away,
everything.. expect for his eyes..
There's a dark hue which clouds the usual light tone causing them to appear more sharp and piercing. Those eyes leaving nothing to the imagination as it illustrates a perfect gruesome story in each iris.
"..she has such a beautiful body, one that I can't help but show off. In fact, I want everyone to see I want the whole world to see,"
My blood runs cold.
What.
"And it's just the perfect way to help her poor little family with their money problems."
My legs grow weak as I wish my ears would shut off again.
No!
"And she's just so easy so I know she'll do whatever I ask."
"You bitch I'll fucking kill you!" Kahlil's anger over powers the guy holding him back and goes to tact Hunter.
"You fuck-"
"KAHLIL."
I clasp my hands over my mouth to stop the screams as I watch him go down. Tears blurry my vision as I use the wall as support to hold me up. My legs have already given out on me.
"Well, it seems I've dragged on too long." He rolls up his sleeves before pulling something out of his back pocket. "What matters is we're all here but only you will stay."
The familiar item causes dread to mix with my tears as I try to get back on my feet.
No, no, no! He can't, he wouldn't... please.
I hurriedly grab for the gun in my pocket.
"Almost seems like deja vu, doesn't it now," he cocks the gun, pulling the safety off before placing his finger on the trigger.
I try taking off the safety as well as Hunter's gun kisses Leon's forehead. The gun is shakenly pointed at him but sweat coated fingers cause alarms to go off as it's a lot harder flip the switch.
"Leon."
The safety is off and in that instant my eyes close as my finger pulls.
Bang.
