Hunter leaped from the coachmen seat, dashing down the street until he got to the inn in less than a minute. He would've been there in less than half a minute easily, however he had slowed down so he could kill every guard and mercenary belonging to the Yechen noble that was posted outside and patrolling the city.
Linrun became shocked at his sudden disappearance while his brothers handed the "reins" over to one of the girls each before also taking off and following his warpath through the street. As Linrun guided the wagon into the village, she found dozens of men's corpses lying across the ground, mutilated like some savage beast had torn through. She also saw many of the local inhabitants reacting in terror at seeing all these men just burst apart and their blood splattering the streets.
By this point Stephanie had hopped up front to sit next to Linrun and was looking at everything with a dry smile on her face. "Looks like the filthy lord did something he shouldn't have while Hunter was watching."
Inside, Stephanie was shocked at how quickly this carnage had occurred, however since she had a month to get adjusted and to at least try and expect what would happen to those who made Hunter an enemy, she was able to withstand the sight and instead look at it in a positive light. [At least I know that he'd do this for me if someone tried to harm me. I can't wait for that paradise he promised], she smiled more naturally after this thought, though she made sure to keep it to herself.
Linrun on the other hand, along with many of the other children, were not holding up as well. Terror was taking over her heart as she thought about what Hunter could do to her if she didn't agree to be his woman. [Did I jump from the frying pan and into the fire?! I went from a metaphorical demon to a literal. He wouldn't hesitate to beat me if I disobeyed him! I truly signed myself up for Hell itself!] Linrun began to become gloomy as she began thinking that Hunter was nothing more than a liar and that she would be forced into a life worse than death.
...
Hunter burst through the inn's entrance, sending the doors to smash two of the guards across the room into paste. They didn't even have time to react, still dreaming about the mother and daughter they thought they would be getting later that day. Hunter then froze in the doorway, black feathered wings having sprouted from his back as he looked around the room slowly while a low growl could be heard.
Fear began to spread quickly as the guards and mercenaries looked at him, not only was it the realistic terror caused by seeing a pissed off angel having flattened two of their compatriots, but also an indescribable terror as if they were looking at the deepest, darkest, and cruelest pits of Hell. Since none of them there were proficient in soul magic, they were unable to realize that their souls were shrieking, causing the impending doom that they were feeling.
Then loud sounds of crashing could be heard as the other three brothers broke through both a wall and two windows, having entered the room on all four sides. Everyone froze in shock as they looked at four angels having entered the building, all of them with weapons drawn and anger evident on their faces. The Yechen Noble slowly put his hands gently down as he backed away slowly from the innkeeper, an uneasy smile painting itself on his face.
"How can I help you oh glorious ones?"
Hunter growled as he began slowly walking towards him, cutting down anyone that tried to put themselves in between him and the noble. Coming up to the noble, he kicked his knee caps, breaking them and causing the fat noble to collapse to the ground as he shrieked in pain. Hunter bent down and grabbed his greasy black hair, lifting him back up from the ground as he used his sword to slash the noble's cheek, causing him to bleed as his little beady eyes widened in even more fear.
At this point Linrun and Stephanie rushed into the inn, seeing the slaughter that had taken place. While Hunter had beelined for the noble, the other three brothers had killed all of his henchmen, whether they were trying to escape or surrender.
"Hunter, did you forget our promise?" Stephanie called out as she spun (Thunder Shaker) and walked through the corpses that littered the ground, making a beeline straight for Hunter and the noble. Hunter looked at the fat man with a smile, causing the noble to become even more fearful, while he turned his body sideways and held the noble out. Stephanie saw his action and chuckled sinisterly as she caught the noble's eyes, hearing him beg her for mercy through his sobs and snot clogged coughs as tears ran down his face.
With a bolt of lightning, and a loud crack of thunder, (Thunder Shaker) was thrown from Stephanie's hand, impaling the noble through his guts, before it carried him back a couple yards and nailed him to the wall a couple meters to the right of the innkeeper. Both Stephanie and Hunter heard a small crack occur inside her body, causing her to become shocked while Hunter began laughing merrily. The other three brothers were able to sense Stephanie's Divinity fluctuations as she officially began her path as a Divine One.
All that had occurred had transpired in less than a minute, and Linrun watched all of it. She was overly shocked at how fast and efficient the brothers were at clearing out all of the noble's troops, though there was quite a bit of clean up that had to be done. She also became slightly fearful on the fact that they seemed to have no qualm taking a life, and instead seemed to enjoy it, though Hunter seemed to relish it the most compared to the others.
As she watched Stephanie throw her spear, she became deafened by the thunder stopping her sensitive feli ears to hear Stephanie's body begin adapting to using her Divinity, but she faintly smelt Stephanie's scent change slightly. She didn't think much, attributing it to the scent of ozone in the air, and the possibility of the lightning having tampered with her sense of smell and so didn't think much of it.
As the noble gurgled his last breaths, the innkeeper stood up from behind the desk that had hid himself. He looked at the angels in shock that quickly turned to fear as he began to register how utterly destroyed his lobby had become.
Spartacus waved his hand as massive amounts of flames spread out, burning the corpses and the blood, making the inn look like it just needed to be dusted from all the ash that covered the floor and tables. The flames than spread outside, burning all the human remains out on the streets. The people watched the flame in awe as it pulsated like that of a living organism, passing by all those who were still alive, leaving them uninjured. After all the corpses had been burned to an ash and the flames had died away; Spartacus waved his hand again, causing all the damages that the group had caused to be repaired, the windows, walls, and door all going back to how they were before.
Hunter walked up next to Spartacus, tapping his shoulder once while Stephanie jumped over the reception desk to pull (Thunder Shaker) from the wall. Spartacus turned and winked at Hunter with a slight smile before he whispered. "Perks of being a god."
Hunter nodded before he looked at Stephanie, using his Divine Vision to see her Divine Line. In her golden pillar, there was a line of rose red that ran the height of the pillar. He also noticed that her Divine Pillar was the same size as one of his own. [Intriguing, I wonder what the pillar sizes mean. It would be great if there were other people like us so I could figure out the connection, but right now we seem to be the only ones who have Divine Pillars while everyone else's Divinity circulates their body much like that of blood.]
"N-now what do we do?! That noble was going to be returning to the Yechen Empire, but he has now been killed here in the kingdom of Siol! Even if he was a small time noble, the Yechen Empire can use this to declare a war against Siol, even if you guys are handed over to them!" Linrun slowly walked away from the door, looking at the brothers with her eyes wide from both worry and curiosity.
Spartacus chuckled as he looked at her and then the Innkeeper. "Don't worry, the Yechen Empire won't be foolish enough to wage a war over a single low noble. There's too much at stake to declare a war, and from what we've learned so far, they would be at the losing end of the stick. Siol still has too many allies, if anything they will use this event as a propaganda to try and make the other nations feel like Siol is unwilling to recognize and respect the delegates and nobles of the other nations. This in turn would cause a tension to begin building between the nations that aren't in the greatest of relations with Siol. By the way good sir, how much does a room cost here?"
The innkeeper's shock finally began to wear off as he looked at the six children that were in front of him. He watched as the four angels each folded their wings, making themselves look like regular humans before he stammered. "It's on the house good benefactors. You saved mine and my family's lives, especially my daughter and wife."
"Thank you good inn keep. I have forty members to my party and I was wondering how many beds do you have per room? Don't worry even though you said it's on the house, I won't go running your place out of business so we will still pay you."
The Innkeeper's eyes widened as he heard this, watching as Orion walked out and then lead a large group of children into the lobby. "We have three beds per room, and normally I would charge two gold coins and three hundred silver for a decent room on the second floor while it's only one gold coin and four hundred silver for an okay room on the first floor. Then the rooms on the ground floor are usually about three hundred fifty silver. However since you boys saved my family, I'm willing to charge you five gold coins for however many rooms you need, all of them being on the second floor." [Even if these kids are angels, there isn't anyway that they have lots of money since they're still only children. Since they helped me, I'll do what I can to help them.] "By the way lads, how long do you think you'll be staying in Snakecliff Village?"
The three brothers looked at Spartacus, unanimously deciding that he would be the de facto leader who would have the most sway in making the decisions. Spartacus saw them looking at him so he nodded his head before he looked back at the Innkeeper. "About a few days good sir. If I'm not mistaken, we are most likely going to be waiting for the prince or his messenger here."
All the children, discluding the brothers, and the Innkeeper became surprised at hearing that the boys were interacting with the prince. [When did this happen?! These boys haven't even made it to the capital yet and they already have the crown prince's attention?] Linrun looked amongst the brothers, before she stared at Hunter, conflicted emotions flashing in her eyes.

Inn - some inns were taverns that were built and licensed to accommodate travelers with lodging, focusing more on places of rest, cleanliness (for nobles and wealthy merchants), and supplying food. (My standard: Has more than fifteen rooms for lodging, usually used for nobles or wealthy merchants. In Siol however, since people can afford it more, it doesn't really matter what social class uses an inn)
Taverns - establishments focused more on supplying drink, food, and information (for poorer merchants, commoners, adventurers, and wandering soldiers). (My standard: Has between five to fifteen rooms for lodging, it is usually used by lower social classes. In Siol, taverns in the cities and towns don't have more than five rooms for lodging, instead focusing on the many types of alcohol to draw in business. In the villages a tavern could have at least ten rooms. However; it depends on if the village is important enough to house an inn. In all the other kingdoms, they go by the standard that I have set.)
The two are nearly identical and in some towns and small villages they were basically the same thing however in larger cities they are not, so to help clear the confusion between the two establishments I'll go ahead and set a world standard for them.
