''My dad ''tells Thomas answering Hazel's question that his dad can relate and only be able to understand from a father's perspective as she nods.''Yes, who better than someone who can express the deep pain & sorrow from losing someone you both truly and deeply miss. Plus, you can lean on one another when one of you needs cheering up. That person tonight is you, and when you are up on that stage tonight, missing your mom and wishing that she was here. Just look into the audience for your dad, and you will see her, ''tells Hazel.
Thomas then looks up at his dad when he sees his mom appear. For the first time in the past year, he has never seen his mom's spirit come to him. Not knowing that his dad sees her every time he needs guidance or to see her beautiful face and her inspiring advice plus wisdom.''You can do this; bubba, show them your talent ''she speaks to her son the way Zoey does with Liam.''What if I make a fool of myself'' speaks Thomas to his mom whenever he wants to have those motherly moments of wisdom & comfort. Both father and son have been through so much physically & mentally, losing both a wife & mother. Without her presence, it's almost as everything for them has stopped, however. Time is still going on, but it's virtual as life doesn't have a purpose without Zoey. '' I can't not without you ''says Thomas wishing he could bring his mom back.'' You can do it, bubba. I know that you can; all you have to do is believe in yourself how Daddy and I see you'' says Zoey as she disappears.
Thomas then comes out of the conversation with his mom,'' you ready, bud? They are all waiting for you backstage?'' wonders Liam curiously. How his son's performance tonight will be as Head Elf? ''Yes, it's showtime, ''shouts Thomas going at full speed to the auditorium & heads backstage for the curtain call. ''Thank you ''says Liam to Hazel as they follow Thomas. However, go in the opposite direction and find their seats just as the lights are dimming down and slowly making the room very dark.
''Everything good with Tom?'' whispers Avery curiously since she spoke to her son. Thomas's whereabouts were unknown? Praying that her little man is alright, I mean, her son is sitting beside her, so Liam must have found him?''Yes, momma, he is currently backstage right now as we speak, ready to go on ''responds Liam. Not knowing how else to respond, I mean, if Thomas were still missing, wouldn't he not be sitting down.
When a woman walks across the stage and is in front of the curtain,'' good evening, parents, students, family, and friends we have. An excellent show for you tonight, our production of Santa's Coming to Peppermint; the students have worked hard for you to make it. Tonight's performance outstanding for you, so sit back, relax & enjoy the show ''says one of the directors. She then walks to the right and exits the stage through one side that leads backstage as the curtain lifts.

The End!
The cast comes together to take a bow while the entire audience gives a round of applause. Liam stands up in the crowd applauding ''way a go, Tom''shouts Liam beaming with pride. Also, knowing from above, Zoey is probably asking someone for a tissue to wipe the tears of joy running down her face. Even though doing this without his mom was not an easy thing to do. Thomas stuck it out & did his part not to let his castmates down since he is part of a team, and if he weren't there, they would have failed as a team. However, instead, they concord it & turned this play into something beautiful, heartwarming. On how Poppy wanted to be a part of the experience on Christmas Eve on Santa's sleigh, he saw the magic happen where each boy & girl get a present under their tree.
After all of the parents, family & friends meet up in the cafeteria to celebrate the students on how good they all did.''Great job out there, you were terrific, you were the most outstanding Head Elf''congratualtes, Liam, to his son. Wishing that Zoey could be here for these daily moments that she is missing out on every day.
