She was on her way back from Maine on this chilly day through the back roads. To New York when she sees that the exit for her to take is closed off. Hazel then rolls down her window, ''excuse me, but why are the roads closed?'' asks Hazel to the sheriff.
''There is a big snowstorm coming, so they closed down the roads until the storm passes, ''says Liam.
''Do you know how long they will be closed for?'' asks Hazel needing to get back into her office first thing tomorrow morning.
''Unfortunately no, they told all police departments in the area to close down the roads; they have yet to give us a time frame on when the streets will open back up. Where are you headed? ''asks Liam.
''Brooklyn, New York''says Hazel.
'Do you live around here?'' asks Liam.
''No, I live in New York, and I need to get back, ''says Hazel, unsure where to go searching for a place to stay.
''Good luck getting a phone signal; the service on the roads is bad here.''Do you need a place to stay?'' asks Liam
'''Yes, do you know anywhere I can stay for the night?'' asks Hazel.
''Turn right you will see a sign ''Welcome to Peppermint, you can stay at the Reindeer inn, tell them that Liam sent you ''says Liam.
''Great, thank you so much, ''answers Hazel and drives into town and thinks, what a pretty little town. Once she arrives at the Reindeer Inn, and heads straight for the front desk.
''Hi may I help you?'' asks Avery.
''Hi, I'm looking for a room for the night; an officer I came across on the road named Liam told me about the place and said to mention his name,'' says Hazel.
'' Of course, let's get you checked in. The woman then grabs a room key '' you are in room 19; welcome to the Reindeer inn,'' says Avery. "Thank you," says Hazel. As she finds her room as it is all Christmas related and thinks, what is this town?
