"Where are you going?" Richard said loudly.
"I am leaving, at once. I cannot be here." I could hear him following me.
"Isabelle! Please! Listen to me!" He reached my hand and turned me around.
I could feel my eyes start to tear up, "You need to let me...go." I looked down at his hand in mine and retrieved my hand.
"Do not do this, I beg of you!" He said as I walked away.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
I sat straight up, breathing heavy.
"My love are you alright? What is wrong?!" Jason said as he looked panicked.
"I.. I am okay. Bad dream." I stuttered.
Jason pulled me to him and started rubbing my back gently. It was very comforting, given the strange dream I just had.
"We should get up." Jason said quietly in my hair.
"Yes." I said back, and he turned me to him and lifted my chin so our eyes met. He kissed me deeply and broke the kiss sooner than I wanted.
He chuckled and kissed me again before he got up.
We both got ready and headed downstairs for breakfast. We walked into the dining room where Richard and Julie are sitting and waiting for us. They stood when they saw us.
"Good morning to you both." I said nodding to them.
"Good morning, dear." Julie said smiling, and Richard did the same.
I sat down next to Julie and Jason on the other side of me. Jason and Richard were talking about things I was clueless about. Julie asked me how I was feeling.
"I am well, and you?" I asked softly.
"I am well, thank you."
"Julie, may I talk to you? After breakfast?" I asked her as quietly as I could.
She nodded her head, she could tell I did not want to be heard.
Once we were done with breakfast, the guys went to training room and me and Julie went for a walk.
"I know you have many questions, I will do my best to answer them." She said as we walked into the garden. I stared at all the beautiful colors in the garden, listening to the buzzing sounds of the bees and birds. We walked out of the garden and onto a stone made path. I was not sure where it led, but I assume it didn't go far from the castle.
"I have to be honest with you, Julie." I was walking slowly next to her, but did not make eye contact. I saw her nod to me and I continued.
"When I first met Richard at his castle, I was feeling these weird feelings towards him and I could not understand why. Is it because we were supposed to be soul-mates?"
"Oh sweetheart, I am sorry to say, but yes. You will probably have this strange emotion toward Richard for a long time. Though, it is not your fault, you will just have to remind yourself who your soul mate is at this point. We cannot change what has been done." She paused for a long moment.
"I had a dream of him last night." I started rubbing my arms and holding myself as we walked. I knew that love had its challenges... but I was not expecting it to be like this.
"Ah. That does not surprise me. When he is close, I feel the connection will be stronger. You will feel more... drawn to him that if he were away."
Well that makes sense, that was the first night I had a dream of Richard.
"What do you suggest I do about it? Is there a way to make it go away?"
She stopped walking and took my hands into hers. "Oh my dearest, I am afraid not. The spell was used with Deep Magic. I wish there was a way, because she set off the balance of things... all over jealousy and greed. It is truly sad she has done it because look how many lives it affected. But, I can tell you, Jason does truly love you. I can tell you love him too. We will all just make the best of our situation and keep moving forward." She said smiling at me.
"Thank you, Julie." I hugged her and did not want to let go. She reminded me so much of my grandmother, she was very soothing and calming.
"We should get back to them, I'm sure my sister will be arriving at our castle soon." Julie said as we turned and headed back down the path.
"Issssssssssaaaaaabellllleeeeeeeeeeee..."
I froze. Julie froze next to me. I felt her squeeze me.
"D-did... y-you... just h-hear that?" I stuttered out.
"Yes, shh my dear." Julie said softly.
She didn't let go of my hand, and she motioned for me to walk still. I saw her close her eyes but still kept walking.
Suddenly we see Jason and Richard running towards us.
I looked at Julie, "how did you...?"
She just looked at me and smiled. She looked at the men and put her finger to her mouth and mouthed 'sh' to them. They stopped when they neared us. Jason paused only for a minute before he was next to me and holding my other hand.
"Isssssaaaabeeelllleeeee..." I saw Richards face go emotionless and alert. I felt Jason squeeze my hand.
We all continued to walk to the end of the stone path. Richard went behind us and walked backwards so he was facing the forest.
"Whose there?" Jason said sternly. "SHOW YOURSELF!" He roared.
There was silence. I shivered.
The trees started to sway in the wind, and I could not help but feel sick again. I let go of Julie's hand and turned to Jason, "This has to stop. I am so tired of feeling like someone is always watching. I want it to just stop."
He stepped closer to me, "I will do everything I can to make it end. No matter what it takes, my love." Jason said then kissed my forehead.
I started walking faster towards the castle, "Let us go to your castle, Richard. So we can meet with Julie's sister and find my mother. The faster we find her, the faster things can get back to normal." I was on a mission, I did not want to waste a moment sulking around.
Once we all got back inside we got ready to leave. Jason spoke with his knights and Julie was speaking over with Richard. I wanted to visit Kyle, before we left. I want to see if he remembers anything that happened last night.
I went to the dungeon door discreetly, and asked if Kyle was awake.
"Yes, he is. But he is not seeing any visitors."
The Knight said flatly.
"Okay, well... I need to see him." I said, not backing down.
"I am sorry, but I cannot." He said not moving.
"Shall I go tell Sir. Jason you were disobeying an order for me? I don't think he will be too happy to hear you told me." I said crossing my arms, standing tall.
He was quiet for a minute, then moved to let me go in.
"Be quick." He said.
I nodded and walked to his cell.
It truly made me sad, and pulled at my heart. But I just knew, he wasn't the Kyle I thought he was and loved.
"Kyle." I whispered in shock still.
He slowly rotates to me, and I see his face and how he's strapped down to the bed. I hate to see him this way.
"Isabelle." He breathed out heavily.
I slowly backed away with my hands over my mouth.
"Please... don't... cry..." he said after a long pause and then a long pause after each word.
"How could you?" I whispered to him, tears down my face.
"Who did this?"
"I.... I don't know." He said laying down and giving in to his body.
I ran back to the dungeon door and out. I stood outside the door staring at it.
I wiped my face and got myself together.
"What were you doing in there?" He said coldly and scary.
I turned around, and Jason looked very displeased.
