"W-What are you doing here?" I said, barely able to get the words out.
"I know you have many questions. I am not going to answer all of them, but I will a few." He said as he walked over to the chair next to the bed.
"Why am I... strapped down?"
"Well so you can't run away. silly." He said a mocking tone and bopped my nose.
"Why are you doing this to me?" I looked down and whispered.
"Well, I need your blood." He said it in such an emotionless tone.
"Why?" I whispered, I could not hide the hurt anymore.
"Well... that I am not telling you." He said as he looked me in the eye with a very firm expression.
"I don't understand.. I... I thought you were my friend..." I could my eyes start to water and refused to look at him.
"We are friends, Iz. I just needed to borrow some of your blood." He smiled and it made me shiver.
"Can... I bathe please?" I asked quietly.
"mhm, I don't see why not. I will have the Doc help you." He looked at the doctor and she nodded shyly.
"How long have I been here?" I asked Mark.
"You've been here for 3 days." He said as he stood up.
"How much longer will I be here?" I said ready to cry any second.
"A little bit longer my dear." He said as he stopped at the door and half turned to me. Then he was gone.
The doctor followed him.
I cannot believe my 'friend' is the person behind all this! This is insane! How could he do this to me? The entire time he was there for me? Was all for show..
I'm starting to learn, people are not always what they seem.
I just hate that it applies to the people who I thought were close to me and there for me.
The doctor came back in with some clothes, and bathing things for me.
"The bathroom is in there, and here are some things for you." She said pointing to the only door in there and putting the stuff on the bed.
"Okay. Thank you." I said with a half smile.
I started to get up slowly, then realized I was trapped. I laid there and looked down at my arms. I couldn't help but let out a cry.
The doctor came around and unhooked the IV and the blood IV. I just stared at the ceiling. I could feel a few tears escape my eyes and roll my down cheeks.
The doctor wiped them away and said, "it will be over soon." With a somber look.
She unclipped the straps holding my feet and my hands in place.
I tried to sit up but couldn't, I was so weak.
"I will help you." The doctor said quietly.
She helped me stand up slowly and get to the bathroom. Once we got to the door, she opened it for me and helped me to the tub.
She turned on the tub and said. "I will grab your stuff."
She came back with the bathing stuff and clothes. " I will be outside of the room, just page the remote on the bed when you are done or need me, okay?" She said quietly not really looking at me.
I nodded, "Thank you."
She closed the door and I heard the room door close as well. I got in the tub and I looked around the bathroom. There was a small window on the top of one wall, with bars on both sides. I wasn't getting out THAT way. The bathroom was not that big. There was the tub, a standing shower, a sink and the toilet. The floor tile was breaking up in some places. The light was dim and it had a creepy energy to it. I shivered. I wonder where Jason is? I wonder if he still searching for me or if he gave up.
Sigh. I have no idea where I am, or what they are using me for. I am so ready to be home. I sink down in the tub when I hear a knock on the door.
"Are you doing okay?" The doctor asked only cracking the door. She probably has to make sure I am not trying to escape.
"Yes." I squeaked out.
She Shut the door and I waited until I heard the room door shut to wash up.
I was draining the tub and started to get dressed when I heard someone yelling. I froze. It wasn't a normal yell, it was the kind that made you want to run away, far away from whatever the horrific thing was. They yelled for a good few minutes before silence filled the air.
I. Need. To. Get. Out. OF HERE!
I hurried up and brushed my hair and put it in a bun. I felt way better now that I was able to get cleaned up. I turned the light off and opened the bathroom quietly and slowly. I peeked my head out and saw the room door was cracked. I tip toed to the door and peeked out. I saw a person standing and talking to the doctor near a desk a few feet away. I was trying to hear what they were saying.
"He said he needs another round blood from her." The man said.
"He is going to have to wait another day, if we draw that much blood she will pass out and possibly go into a coma!" She said speaking quietly. but I could hear the anger in her voice.
"His orders." He said getting close to her face trying to intimidate her.
"I don't care whose orders they are, the amount he wants right now is not possible, not until tomorrow. If he does not understand, then send him my way and I will tell him." She said standing to meet his gaze. Her face was emotionless and she stood there, not backing down.
"I will relay the message, Doctor." He emphasized on the 'doctor' and walked away towards the stairs.
I watched as her body relaxed once he was completely out of sight.
I need a plan, and I need to think of one fast. I have a feeling Mark isn't going to take no for answer.
I am clearly below ground and the only window has bars on both sides. There has got to be another way. I watched as the doctor went back to the desk and sat down. She put her head in her hands and didn't move. Okay now would be my chance. But... how?
Ah HA! I GOT IT. I can't believe I didn't think of it sooner!
