I slowly started to open my eyes and everything was dark. I was in a room again with machines next to the bed. Oh no. No No No No!
I looked down and saw an IV in my arm again.
Oh no... I was dreaming.. It wasn't Kyle carrying me... I am back in Mark's possession.
The door opens.
I was wrong. I was not back in Mark's possession.
A feeling of relief came over me and I felt happy when I saw him.
My heart fluttered, as I saw Jason walk over to the bed. He was smiling from ear to ear and kissed my lips softly.
"I am happy to see you." I said softly, not taking my eyes off him.
"As I am with you Princess." he looked at me with this smile that made me instantly feel tingly.
I tried to sit up and Jason helped me. I needed to pee, and he helped me to the bathroom. He shut the door and said he will be right back.
I went to open the door but heard Jason talking to someone.
"Where did you find her again?" He asked.
"I found her laying on the ground, pale as a ghost Sir. Jason." Kyle said sternly.
"I just don't understand, how did you know where she was?" Jason asked.
"I heard her scream your name, so I stopped and went the direction I heard her scream. That's when I found her on the ground."
"I'm just happy she is back, safe. Thank you for bringing her back to me Kyle."
I opened the bathroom door and walked out to them in the room by the door. Jason flew to my side and helped me back to bed. I was so tired. I laid down comfy again and a lady came in to put my IV back in.
"Are you hungry, my love?" Jason asked standing next to the bed.
"Kind of. Do you have crackers or something like it? I want something light." I said getting comfy.
"Here, lets move the bed so you can sit up and eat and still be comfortable." Jason said, him and the nurse moved it so I was up some.
Jason kissed my forehead and said, "I will be right back with some food, Princess."
I nodded and watched him and the nurse leave.
Kyle was still by the door, Jason said something to him and he nodded. Kyle walked in the room and closed the door a few minutes after they left.
Uh. I just remembered what he said. Well this is going to be awkward...
He walked over and sat in the chair next to the bed.
"Hi Iz, how are you feeling?" He said with this sad look on his face.
"Meh. I'm okay, my head really hurts and my body is sore and achy." I said quietly looking down at my hands.
"I bet. When I found you, you were laying on the ground and your head was bleeding." He said quietly back to me. He reached over and grabbed my hand and rubbed the top of it, " I'm really glad you are back. I missed you. It felt weird to be here without you." He was still holding my hand and rubbing it.
I saw Jason in the corner of my eye at the door about to open it. He stopped when he saw where Kyle was. His face went stone cold and it made me look down again.
"I'm happy to be back. I missed you too." I said it with almost no emotion, I was not sure If he was going to say something or not about what he said to me when he found me.
Jason opened the door and his face was still cold. Kyle let go of my hand and stood up straight. He backed up some and bowed.
I watched as Jason and Kyle locked eyes. I felt the tension and wanted run out of the room. If only I could run right now Ha.
"What did you bring me Sir. Jason?" I said trying to snap them both out of this.. angry stare down.
"I brought you some of your crackers and tea, my love." He came over to the bed and set the tray on my lap softly. Him and Kyle were still in a stare down. I had to do something.
"Thank you sweetheart." I said looking at him, and he suddenly looked at me and raised his eyebrows. Good, It worked.
I could NOT take the tension I was feeling, It was overbearing.
"Did... did you just call me sweetheart?" He looked so happy.
I blushed and nodded my head and looked down at my crackers. He had them on a plate set up all nice and pretty, and my tea still had steam peering from the top.
He is so thoughtful. I really am happy our paths crossed.
I started to nibble on my crackers and Jason sat in the chair. Kyle moved and walked to the door. He bowed and asked to be excused. Jason nodded in response not looking his way.
"Make sure the door is shut when you leave."
I jerked up and looked at Jason. Kyle stopped at the door and turned to face us. Jason did not turn around just kept looking my way. Kyle's eyebrows went up and his face showed hurt. He looked at me with a somber expression and looked down. He just shut the door and made sure it was shut all the way before he walked away and out of sight.
I let out a huge breath when he was out of sight.
Jason locked eyes with me and looked at me funny, "Uhh..... are you okay?"
"Yes and No. You guys just made so much tension in the room I felt like I was suffocating." I said being extremely dramatic when I said it, waving my cracker around in the air.
He stood up and sat on the bed with me. I could tell he was bothered by Kyle. Honestly? I was too... He was acting so strange. I didn't know If I should bring up what was said or not.
"Well. My love. As you know, Kyle is my most trusted Knight, my right hand man, my best friend at that. So to see him be... touchy and soft with you? It just is unsettling and I don't like it." He said while shaking his head. He grabbed my hand and squeezed then kissed it. I watched as his face changed.
"I don't want to make you upset with me, but I need to ask Isabelle..." He said while nervous to finish the question.
"Did something happen between you two? Before you came here? I keep feeling like there is something not being said." He said quietly, but I could tell he was anxious for my response.
"Have I done something to show you that something has happened?" I asked curious if I did something to show I had any feelings for Kyle more than a friend.
He ran his fingers through his hair and stood up. "No, not you..."
I kept staring at him, waiting to see if he saw it too or if he told him what he said to me when he found me.
"I've caught Kyle staring at you more than once that made my stomach turn... He is always somehow ruining our.. moments together. Plus these last few days we have been taking turns searching for you while the other slept some. I would hear him come back and go to his room, and start throwing things. I heard him cry a few times. Then, seeing how he just was with you? That just did not feel right. If something happened... or if you feel something for him please, tell me. I need to know."
For some reason, my heart sank hearing him say this. At this point, I can't see myself with anyone else.
I moved the tray down and sat up more, I grabbed his face and kissed him. I broke the kiss and looked in his eyes, I could see the lust instantly and of course, the fire feeling always here when he is.
"My heart... is yours." He smiled and kissed me. We kissed for a little bit until he broke it.
"SO there is nothing I need to worry about?" He said with a disdained look.
"No baby, not a thing." I whispered as we are still only inches apart.
"Good. Because you are MINE. MINE only, remember that." He said still looking at me with that lust in his eyes.
"I want you too..." I said, so quietly you would think I didn't even say it.
"I'm going to ask the doctor if you can be cleared and come back to our room." He said excitedly and kissing me one time before getting up and leaving the room.
Well this was a roller coaster of emotions. Goodness.
I don't want anyone but Jason, that is something I have realized.
But I don't know what to do about Kyle. Do I act as if he didn't say anything or act weird with me? Or do I confront him and make things really awkward? I know he's his best Knight and best friend. I don't want anything to change between all of us. Sigh. Confused is an understatement.
I wish my mom was here.
