Zion and I settled ourselves over the table as I see Harry walking down the staircase, bringing his surfboard while he pushes his hair off his forehead. "Harry, breakfast?" Zion asks.
"Good morning guys but I'll surf first." Harry answers while stares at me, "You want to catch some waves, Merry?" He smirks, "You know we had a bet."
My eyes glanced at Georgina-Rose who is already looking at me and I was hesitant to go with him since I know it would hurt her. "Um, I didn't bring clothes." I reasoned a fact.
"I have!" Diana instantly grabs her bag from the couch, "You know I'm team HaMer." She smiles at me and handed me a swimsuit which was suitable for surfing.
Zion laughs while Harry makes a confused face looking at Diana. "Hammer?"
"Harry. Merry. HAMER." Diana smiles at me then at Harry. I don't know if she's intently doing this to hurt Georgina-Rose but I am not liking it because I wouldn't want to be in an argument with someone who is emotionally unstable.
"You are so corny D." Zion narrates while shaking his head.
"Z, you're just jealous because you don't have a partner." Diana snaps while smiling at him annoyingly.
To be honest I love watching them and how they bicker each other.
Harry smiles widely, "I'm team Ziana."
I chuckle. "Me too." I can't help but join the bandwagon.
"Ew! Never in a million years." Diana acts as if she was about to vomit.
"The more you say no, the more you'd fall for me D." Zion teases with his mischievous grin.
Diana gapes which makes me and Harry laugh while watching them bickering each other to no end. "You are gross!"
"Trust me, I can make you moan." Zion grins.
My mouth drops open with Diana as I laugh but Harry was laughing way harder. Harry high fived Zion who was laughing on his seat while watching Diana completely annoyed. I watch as Harry walk towards where I am as he stands in front of me. I can't help but stare at his handsome face and his emerald eyes which looked slightly puffy. He takes my hand while he rubs his thumb over my knuckles.
"Good morning you." He smiles.
"Good morning, you." I smile back shyly.
"Did you sleep well?"
I nod. "Your bed was comfy and was very helpful to put me to sleep."
"That's wonderful. Anyways, let's catch some waves." He says with his deep voice.
"I'll change first."
"Alright, I'll wait outside." He answers.
I walked up to Harry's bedroom where I left my small bag and changed to Diana's one piece which was slightly tight on me. I stared at myself in front of the mirror and flinched when I saw Georgina-Rose's reflection standing on the doorway of Harry's bedroom door. She was looking intently at me with a cold expression on her face.
"Jesus you scared me." I commented as I turn to her. "Hi, um. Do you want anything?"
She stares at me from head to toe which was a little bit creepy. "You look nice." She smiles.
"Thank you." I stare down at myself.
I decided to walk out of the bedroom and leave her alone but she stopped me when she said, "He's just going to dump you after he gets what he wants from you."
I look at her over my shoulder, "Excuse me?"
She smiles, "Just like all those other women he invites over the beach house for casual sex. You'll just end up being like them, used and forgotten." She walks past me and heads to the staircase with a wide smile on her face.
I don't know if I should trust what she said but I definitely don't want to be just a fuck buddy with someone on this island. It wasn't something I was looking for. I came here to find myself and help myself heal and not to look for another man who can fuck me and dump me as soon as he gets it.
I went down the stairs and tried not to let her words get into my head because I want to enjoy my surfing time with Harry. I know I should confront him about what I just found out and tell him clearly that I didn't come on this island to have sex with a stranger.
I headed out to the backyard where Harry was waiting while he was prepping up his surfboard. He smiles at me, "Wow, look at you." He commented. "You look incredible."
"Geez, thanks." I shyly answered.
He smiles, "Do you know how to swim?"
"Yeah."
"Good because it'll help you a lot when you lose your balance on the board. I'll teach you basic stuff you need to know when you surf, alright?" He tells me.
I nodded.
"Can you lie on the board please? Flat on your tummy." He seemed kind so I obeyed and laid on my stomach. "Move a little lower." He gestures with his hand as I followed. "Okay that's good. That's your entire position when you arm paddle. What's your prominent hand?"
"Right."
He nods, "Okay so when we're catching waves, you're going to have to put both of your hands against the board on the sides of your breasts. Like this." He shows me so I followed. "And then, you're going to push yourself up as you stand, carefully step your prominent foot forward and the other one steady on the back, bend your knees slightly down and open both your arms to the sides balance as you ride the wave."
I groan, "That sounded easy to do but so hard to follow"
"You can do it, love. C'mon show me your stance before we head to the waters." He encourages.
I showed him what I learned from him while he continues to correct my little mistakes from how I stand and how I push myself up from the board. When we were finished with our little tutorial, he tied the band around my right ankle before he carried to longboard for me as I follow him.
"Nervous?" He asks as soon as we stepped into the waters.
I squint my eyes against the sun, "Yes, a whole lot. I don't want to disappoint my surfing instructor."
He smiles at me, "You'll do fine. Just don't forget what I taught you."
"What if I can't stand?"
"Trust me love, you will. We won't stop until you'll be able to stand."
"What?!"
Harry laughs, "You heard it so better do it right."
"Jesus the pressure is too much."
He smiles. "Time to get on the board." He holds the board for me as I tried to get on top of it.
We began to move to the deeper waters and I was starting to feel anxious as he pushes me forwards allowing me to face the beach house. I watch him as he tries to wait for the perfect wave and also allowed myself to be fascinated by how he rakes his fingers through his long curly hair.
"Get ready sweet cheeks."
Sweet cheeks?
He pushes me forward and I finally feel the surfboard moving by itself, "Get up!" He screams and I followed him as I carefully did what he taught me earlier. Push myself up, prominent foot forward, the other foot steady on the back, knees bent down and arms spreading to my sides.
I laughed as soon as I found myself standing on the board while I was riding the wave.
"I did it!" I kept laughing before I lost my balance and crashed to the waters. I swim up and instantly looked for Harry. "I did it!!"I screamed at him.
"I told you, you can do it!!" He yelled back. "C'mon and paddle back here."
I got on the board and started paddling on my way back to Harry.
"I can't believe I did it." I tell him.
He smiles at me, "I'm proud of you."
"Another one." I say.
"Alright, here comes another wave. Get ready sweet cheeks."
Sweet cheeks. I thought again to myself.
After an hour of surfing, I feel my skin burning but I had fun. For the first time in my life since I got here, I was enjoying something I have never done before. Harry and I swam for a little bit before we headed out of the waters having red skin like cooked lobsters. We headed back inside the beach house and decided to finally eat because we were now both hungry.
Neal had finally woken up and his back was insanely red while his hair still hand sand on it. Olivia had woken up too and was now groaning in pain because of her hangover. We talked over the table as Diana blurt out to go touring around the entire island using their motorbikes since she wanted me to see the entire island and everyone was so into it even though I know they have toured the island many times already.
I was up for something fun now with this group of people and for the first time I was no longer scared of stepping out from my comfort zone.
Harry drove me back to my hotel so I can change and told me he was going to pick me up with the others in a few minutes. I took a shower and felt excited for the land tour we were going to do later. I wore a white one piece and a pair of faded denim shorts as I stare at my own reflection on the mirror and noticed that my skin was now a little tone darker and terribly reddish after surfing under the sun.
By noon, Harry and the others arrived outside my hotel. Georgina-Rose was riding behind Zion on his motorbike, Olivia was with Neal, Diana brought her own pink motorbike and Harry, who is wearing a plain white shirt with a black shorts, sits on his own black motorbike while he hands me his helmet as he flashes me his smile. I accepted before I got on his motorbike before all of started speeding away from the hotel.
Diana led the pack while all of us followed her since she was much more familiar with the island. We passed by a few stores that sells clothes, shirts and a few handmade handbags, an old church, a few of the locals' houses, a small elementary school and a road path which was surrounded by tall coconut trees. It was the complete island life that I can ever ask for and not worrying about how we looked or what we wore. We took photos together as a group and individually as we stopped by some tourist's spots of the island. Harry took some photos of me using my phone while I took a few selfies with him and the others as well. It was just pure fun spending time with these strangers that is starting to become my friends.
We stopped by a wet market and bought foods where we can bring with us to the beach called Pacific Beach and grill some seafood that we bought when we get there. We were planning to eat lunch on that beach since Diana had already reserved tables and chairs for us. When we arrived the beach, all of us helped in setting up the table while Zion, Harry and Diana were the ones doing the grilling.
We began to settle ourselves on the table to eat.
"We can stay here for the night." Diana says and everyone started agreeing to it automatically.
"We can?" I asked.
She nods, "They rent out tents here at much lower price."
"I can never to do things like this back in Ireland." Neal tells us. "It just sucks because we don't always have such a nice weather like this and Ireland does not really have the incredible beaches like the ones here in LUAHU."
Zion nods, "This Island is so underrated."
"I'm just happy not much people know about it." Harry states. "I mean, it isn't as crowded as other beaches and it's much lesser industrialized than other islands."
"I agree. LUAHU is a most definite hidden treasure." Diana adds.
