Chapter 164 - CHAPTER 164: I- I Am Just... Hungry

All seven ended up falling asleep without minding whether it is on the floor or on a sofa.

Saphira was made to sleep on the bed together with Willow and Stormie.

It was big enough for the three of them.

While the guys made do with whatever it is in that place.

They had slept in caves and forests and so they are used with not sleeping in comfortable places.

Even though they were born with a silver spoon, they grew up without a care for it.

Felix wasn't as tired as them.

Unlike them who went all out in order to kill all those demonic beasts just to get to the palace at the earliest time possible.

He knew they never did this kind of stuff unless necessary.

Over exerting themselves when more enemies are lurking around the corner.

They are not as irresponsible as that.

This time, he knew it was an exemption.

Because this empire had seriously caused too much for them to see.

"Have you rested?"

He was in the balcony when someone spoke to him.

"I have but I wasn't as tired as you guys," he replied.

Stormie walked over and stood beside him.

"You seem bothered by something," she said.

Felix shook his head, "I just thought that I still have so many things I have to learn about you and about the world."

He never expected that even though he had roamed his kingdom, he was still lacking in so many aspects.

"Were you too shock by what you saw?" she asked him.

"I was but not in a bad way. I was simply shock by your strength and decisiveness," he answered honestly.

Stormie smiled and took a deep breath.

"We have roamed quite a lot of empires and kingdoms but this is the first time we have seen such an empire. I never even thought we could get that mad over this matter."

Even she was shock at the way she reacted a while ago.

No, she wasn't regretting it but she was simply angered upon seeing the condition of Nixon and the others.

"I finally get what Saphira really meant when she threatened you. If one of them were to get hurt, I can see myself going on a killing spree. Because we only have one another."

Felix looked at her.

She smiled and spoke of the tragedy eight years ago.

"With that we are more connected than what others think. I did tell you this but I hope you won't think so badly of us in the same empire."

He was shock to hear that the one who killed the elite squads back then was their member.

As for Vermilion Bird's appearance, Felix understood that it was Saphira who killed the killer.

The news was simply about the elite squad dying, yet who would have thought that there is more to it.

"I... don't know what to say."

"No, I just want you to understand us more. Since you plan on joining us, then I wish that you will understand that every action we make, has their own reasons. We don't do things on a whim. We don't kill just because we felt like it."

Felix blinked and stared at her.

Her short white hair swayed with the wind.

And as he stared at her eyes, he actually ended up feeling that he was staring at some precious white gems.

They were beautiful just as they were captivating.

Realizing his thoughts he cleared his throat and looked away.

He breathed to calm himself before glancing at her again.

Just like how his heart suddenly thumped a while ago.

It was again caused a stir when he returned his eyes on her.

'No way,' he thought but Stormie didn't notice what was going on in him.

"I am hungry, do you want to eat? Maybe they can spare us some food," Stormie stretched and said.

"Ah... uhmmm... yes, let- let's eat," he replied stuttering.

"What's wrong? Are you okay? Your face is red," she asked seeing his look.

"I- I am fine. Don't worry, shall we?" he gestured for them to walk out of the room.

As he followed her, he realized that all along, the one actually taking care of him in their group was her.

She tells him things in order for him to understand what is going on.

She makes sure that he understands everything and would not jump to conclusions.

She was doing her thing in order for him to feel more comfortable while travelling with them.

He didn't expect this from her.

The one who keeps on fighting with Nixon.

That she has such a caring side.

A side that watched over the people around her.

He covered his mouth as his face turned redder.

He was always at a distance when it comes to ladies back in his kingdom.

Especially at the uprising of the demonic beasts.

Yet who would have thought that he would start feeling this way towards someone he had just been with for a few months?

Is it because among the three of them, Stormie was the one who was unattached?

That's not the case, right?

He was not that simple right?

Or was it back then?

Has it already started back then?

When her tears fell but she still looked indignant at fighting with him and being angry at his words.

He knew something tugged in him back then.

Because most ladies used their tears to gain sympathy.

Well, most of those he had encountered so far.

But Stormie was different, she cried because she was angry and hurt by his words.

He never made anyone cry that way.

Some would just walk away at his straightforward rejection but she argued still despite the tears.

"Felix?"

Stormie furrowed her brows and walked close to him.

"Felix?"

Felix jumped back when her face appeared right in front of him.

"Woah!!"

"Seriously, what is the matter? We have arrived in the kitchen," Stormie told him.

As she didn't know where it is, she had asked the servants they passed by and Felix was unaware because of his own thoughts.

"I- I am... just hungry."
