Chapter 165 - CHPATER 165: You Know Me Too Well

The very next day, the others finally woke up.

Even Saphira was up and energetic again.

On this day, a public announcement was also made.

That the former emperor and the first prince who is also the crown prince are to be beheaded in front of the people due to oppression and tyranny.

And the one doing it is the second prince who was also accepted by the other three kingdom's kings as the next emperor.

News of the death of the other royals were also published.

The people were dreaded but all those royals didn't do anything for them.

The second prince alone was the only one whom they have accepted as well.

That is why this news might be terrifying but it was also a wonderful one.

Maybe, from this day on, their lives will turn for the better.

"Why won't you?" Zian asked as they prepare for the execution.

"Please the last kingdom have already published our faces, we can't have more," Saphira replied.

He was asking them to accompany him to the execution site but Saphira and the rest declined.

"We are not rejecting because we don't want to be shown in your empire. We are rejecting because we really didn't want the attention," she added.

Zian could clearly see that they really didn't want the attention.

It seems that they gave Felix's kingdom an exemption.

He looked at Felix with a look of being wronged.

Felix raised both hands and smiled in defeat.

It was not him who asked for that, it was his father.

Zian, of course, was not thinking badly or feeling bad towards Felix.

He sighed, "Very well. I'll go ahead then. You just enjoy your time here."

They waved him goodbye.

After he left, they went to the library.

And yes, Saphira had already asked permission to see their history and all.

Zian willingly agreed, seeing how their empire was saved by them how could he not grant this small wish?

He could even let them see their battle formation and all.

"Why would I need that?" was her flat rejection.

Thinking about it, their battle formations were nothing as compared to Qillian Empire.

As they read, they noticed that Saphira was having more books other than the history of their Empire.

They were about the magical abilities.

"Didn't you read more books about that in Qillian Empire?" Stormie couldn't help but ask.

But when they thought back, even back in Nembus kingdom, she was also reading these books.

What was she looking for?

"I am thinking of having a barrier in every kingdoms and empires. If we can make one so that they could keep the demonic beasts away."

Each kingdom and empire have some kind of a barrier but up to this day, those barriers were becoming useless due to the increase in strength and number.

"I am looking for a way to have one that is much stronger," she continued.

Though she has more plans that she won't tell them yet.

After all, she wants to use that but other than Hunter, she didn't know when she will tell them.

Hunter understood her plan very well.

She plans on using that power to create those barriers.

"If we are to roam the world and those we helped first were attacked again, then are we going to run back? We are going to keep running around if that happens. So it is better to make some breather for us."

If the attack was so small then surely they don't have to run back but if it was a big attack, then they are supposed to go back.

It was their duty after all.

"Then do you have anything in specific? We can help you with that at least," Nixon said.

Though Ridge would be the only exemption as he was already too focused on their potions and poisons together with the plants.

"Barriers, of course, but don't neglect the incomplete ones. We can complete them ourselves if we look into it better," she replied.

She wouldn't reject their help as there are too many books right now.

She had already a few things in mind but she wants to make it better.

She was a lazy person after all, running around all over the world.

Just the thought of it already makes her feel dreadful.

"You are being diligent now, but I can see it is all for a fact that you can laze in the future," Hunter commented seeing her look.

"Oh you know me too well," she replied with a grin.

After another few hours, Zian returned looking all tired.

"Since you're here, there's something we all need to talk about," Saphira said and asked him to lead them to a conference hall.

"Are you okay?" Hunter asked.

Despite her normal cheerfulness, he can see that she was looking bad.

"I am," she smiled assuring him.

"You are sweating a lot," he followed.

"Yeah, I am indeed," she added.

There is one thing she haven't told them yet, the egg who had cracks on it was about to break.

After her confrontation with the emperor and the rest yesterday, the darkness absorbed caused the egg to start peeling off.

And when that started, she also started feeling hot.

To the point that she was sweating despite the fact that it wasn't too hot.

Hunter did not believe her but he left it as is because that's what she wanted.

"What is it?" Zian asked.

He was very tired but it seems that what she wanted to say was very important as well.

"You do realize that demonic beasts appeared within the imperial city right?" she went straight to the point.

"Are you saying that something else was there?" Zian asked.

Saphira nodded her head, "Those demonic beasts wouldn't appear so suddenly unless they are flight beasts. But when I asked the others, most were not flight beasts."

"The only explanation is that someone brought them here?" he asked in return.

Saphira nodded her head.

"The reason we have come to this place," she informed him.

They then recounted the reason behind and what they came up with.
