Chapter 141 - CHAPTER 141: No Holding Back

"Don't you think they are looking like corpses already?" Ridge asked Drake.

A week after they started their training.

Nixon and Felix were looking thinner, to the point where Felix could no longer return to the palace and could only join them in the inn to rest.

"I wonder what sir Vermilion Bird do in their training," Ridge added.

After a bir of thought he shivered and spoke again.

"I don't think I want to know."

"Then why be curious?" Drake asked him this time.

"I just want to know, if I were to see I might die myself," Ridge replied.

"But I think those three are becoming closer," Saphira butted in.

The two of them looked in the middle and found her to be standing between them at some unknown point in time.

She looked at the two of them with a smile before placing her hands on their shoulder.

"Do you want to get closer with them as well?"

The two looked at one another before shaking their heads vigorously.

"I have something to do," Drake instantly said and left.

"I remember my potions and poisons need improvement," Ridge followed before rushing away as well.

Saphira laughed before she pouted when out of the blue someone knocked on her head.

"Bully," Hunter spoke.

"I was not, I was just asking them."

She laughed before looking at him, "What exactly happened with Vermilion Bird for the rest of them to be so fearful towards him."

Hunter raised an eyebrow, "You are the only odd one to actually contend with Vermilion Bird's venomous tongue."

"What do you mean odd? It was quite simple speaking with Vermilion Bird."

Hunter shook his head before patting her head, "You really are odd. It's quite cute though."

After that he left her stunned in place.

Hunter rarely spoke in such a way but when he does it was too sudden even she was caught off guard.

Vermilion Bird scoffs, 'Can't you just let me sleep?'

Saphira rolled her eyes, 'We are odd he said.'

'No you are the only odd one in here.'

'How dare you say that.'

Vermilion Bird didn't reply but thought instead, 'No one has ever answered back to me like you. Even your ancestors were afraid of speaking with me once I am not in the mood. You are the only one who would still make me do things even though I am in a bad mood.'

Saphira didn't bother and instead returned to her room to sleep.

Another week and the improvement on Stormie and the other two were very much visible.

She can handle them properly and the two were stable all the time during their flight.

Even with distractions here and there, she was able to ensure that the two of them would remain stable on air.

If it was too much she slowly lowers them to the ground.

And even while flying, they can use different attacks allowing them more control on aerial battle.

Saphira smiled happily seeing all of this.

"I knew you guys could do it," she clapped her hands as she spoke of this.

"I just want to rest now," Stormie instead complained.

Willow walked over and patted her back while nodding her head.

Stormie jokingly cried at her arms while Willow hugs her.

"The extermination is going well, you three can still rest," Saphira told them.

"You know we can't. We still have no idea just when he will appear," Stormie turned serious.

"Don't worry, we are ready enough that even if he were to appear tomorrow we won't be too shock to the point of being unable to fight properly," Saphira explained.

Because she was more sensitive to darkness, she can actually tell if one of them were to appear in the kingdom.

That much she was confident in.

"Then please allow us to rest," Nixon yawned and returned first followed by Stormie and Felix.

The others could see that the three of them were seriously tired from their training.

After watching them leave, Saphira fell into deep thought.

"What are you thinking so deeply about?" Hunter called for her attention.

"Nothing, I am just wishing that my guts this time will not be true."

She has another feeling.

A feeling that their battle wouldn't be simply them seeing an old face and battling them.

Instead there would be something else.

"What do you mean?"

"It is just a feeling so I still have no idea what exactly it is. I can't tell you now, can I?"

Hunter agreed to her logic but he knew it might happen.

Saphira's gut feelings were most of the time on point.

So if she feels that something different will happen on their battle, then there is a 90 percent chance that it will occur.

But because it was only a feeling, they couldn't be prepared about it.

"Let's just focus then," he told her.

If they are focused enough then maybe no matter how unexpected it is, they will still be able to fight againts them.

"Do you want to spar with me? We haven't really spar properly even back in that island," she asked him.

"No holding back?" he asked with a smirk.

"No holding back," she replied smugly.

It was an open area so they can spar properly.

But because of their speed and strength, people started becoming curious and more and more people started watching them.

"Those two really are different," Drake commented.

"It might take me my whole life just to get to their level," Ridge answered.

They were about to return as well when they heard the two of them talked about a sparring without holding back.

It wasn't everyday that these two would do that.

Because they kept planning and planning ahead of time, they rarely get the chance to have the free time to have a spar.

Together with it was the fact that Saphira was a lazy person who would rather sleep than spar.

At some point, even the knights of Nembus Kingdom were already there and awe were plastered in their faces as they watched the two of them fight against one another.
