Since there was no holding back, even the ground beneath their feet were being damaged by their movements.
Helios, who heard of the commotion, arrived to see the open ground becoming more and more of a destroyed land.
He was speechless at the way the two of them move.
There really is no holding back on it.
"How come those two..." he spoke looking at Drake and Ridge.
Willow was quietly watching on one side as well.
"We heard that the one who trained Saphira was the strongest swordsman about fifty years ago. And the one who trained Hunter was said to be second to him but others said that they were actually on par."
Drake explained as he was the one who always listens to these kinds of news.
Helios' jaw dropped.
He never had the chance to have a bout against those two but he had heard of their prowess.
One is the former emperor of Scorpius Empire while the other was the current emperor of Qillian Empire.
He understood Hunter but he didn't expect Saphira.
Of course, Drake didn't elaborate that Saphira was sent in the wrong Empire allowing her such an encounter.
"Though this is the first time they really tried to spar with one another without holding back. We also didn't expect such improvement on them."
Honestly, since they also use their abilities in subduing the demonic beasts, since time is more important than showing their strength, they haven't really seen just how strong in sword fighting these two are.
After about half an hour, they finally stopped.
A bit breathless with sweat but both of them were smiling.
"I never expected that I would get this chance after leaving that place," Saphira said walking over to him.
"I haven't really tested my training either, this is the first time, I guess I really did improve," Hunter answered.
Both smiled and raised their hands to give each other a high five.
After that they were suddenly surrounded with an applause and that is the only time that they realized just how many people have surrounded them.
Saphira grinned and even waved her hand towards them.
Hunter returned to his stoic look and didn't bother with the audience.
Both of them walked over towards their friends and the five of them left the place to take a rest.
After that, the two of them became the talk of town for showing such a splendid sword fight.
"I should have stayed a bit longer," Nixon kept sighing the next day after he listened to Ridge recounting how the two of them fought with one another.
"You were already too tired, you might just end up falling asleep while watching them."
"I don't think so, if it is as awe inspiring as you have said, then surely I would be fascinated to the point where I would even forget about how tired I was," he answered back.
But he wasn't the only one feeling like this.
Felix was the same.
Helios had told him what he had witnessed and now he regretted returning back.
"Come to think of it, have you apologized to them?"
The king, his father, Jacob, asked as he was also there when Helios recounted what had happened in town.
Felix was stomped for words when he asked this.
"You haven't? You already saw just how hard working they were. You already know you were wrong so why haven't you apologized yet?"
"I... don't know how."
He honestly replied because as a prince he wasn't too difficult towards his people and was never made to apologize because he was never unreasonable unlike what he had shown to their group.
"Then thank them first," Jacob understood his dilemma and suggested.
Felix looked at him with confusion.
"Well, I can see that you yourself have improved with the difficult training you were put into. That means they had helped you. So why don't you thank them before apologizing for being wrong?"
Felix thought about it before nodding his head.
It was only right that he thank them.
Because he himself had felt that he had improved as well.
After he left, Jacob couldn't help but to smile.
"He never really had a friend his age since he was focused on improving himself. Their arrival is truly a blessing in so many ways," Jacob said towards Helios.
"I couldn't agree more, your majesty," Helios answered.
Somehow that afternoon, Jacob was visited by Saphira.
"I have a favor your majesty."
"What could it be?"
"It is your library, I wish to have access towards your history."
Jacob furrowed his brows.
"I know it is too much for me to ask, but there is sommething I am trying to find out about. I can pledge that I won't disclose anything or use the information I gained against your kingdom and people. There really is just something I want to understand."
"And that is something you can't tell me, is that it?" he asked.
"I apologize, I came here with the thought I would also be rejected."
Seeing her serious look, Jacob could only sigh.
"If it is only about the history then I wouldn't mind giving you access. But for other things..."
He was referring to battle formations and training.
"I won't even take a peek tat its cover," she replied.
Though he couldn't understand what she needed from the history, he wouldn't mind letting her know.
What Saphira was looking for wasn't exactly related to their battle. She was simply curious about one thing.
The thing that the others talked about back when she was accomodating the mana that Vermilion Bird returned to her.
She was still a bit aware of what was going on outside.
And her curiosity increased after she, Hunter, Vermilion Bird and Qirin saw that vision.
She was someone who really loved reading books so even with the mission, this love for books and history didn't go away at all.
What she wanted to learn was about Vermilion Bird and Qirin's first hosts, those who strong enough to make them into accompanying beasts.
