Chapter 123 - CHAPTER 123: You Don't Look Well

"What about you?"

Willow stared at Vermilion Bird.

She came to see Saphira and thought Vermilion Bird had been asleep but he suddenly speak up.

"I'm asking you Azure Dragon's brat, what are you planning?"

Willow lowered her head.

Her whole emotions were still in shambles that she couldn't really think.

"The outside is filled with plants," Vermilion Bird once again said.

Willow looked up at him.

"But its filled with darkness."

Azure Dragon came out and spoke up.

With just one suggestion, he understood what Vermilion Bird was saying.

"And?" Vermilion Bird raised an eyebrow.

"She might be affected, you are trying to make her control it right?"

Willow looked at them as they spoke.

"The darkness within the plants isn't as strong as in the lowest rank of demonic beasts. If she does not allow herself to be corrupted then she would be able to control them."

"That is impossible!!!" Azure Dragon rebuked.

"Is it? Then why is that girl still fine?"

He gestured at Saphira.

This time, both Willow and Azure Dragon were shock.

"What.. do you mean by that, sir," Willow asked.

"You all know Raynisha was corrupted. Taking me from her, do you think there's no darkness that was included?" Vermilion Bird replied.

They didn't think about it at all.

Raynisha was already corrupted when Saphira used the ceremony.

There is a big possibility that darkness was there.

"All along did you really think she remained quiet back then because she was simply too shock of the events?"

That was what they thought.

"Of course not, she was already battling the darkness back then."

He dropped it like it was nothing.

But to Willow and Azure dragon it was like a bomb was suddenly thrown at them.

"She had battled it until she was sent away. It was of no small amount either. It was much more than what those plants could give."

After saying this, Vermilion Bird closed his eyes again.

They can decide for themself what they want, he had already given his suggestion.

Willow can will plants or create them.

But when it is plants that are already corrupted, she can't do anything about it.

It was also a fact that controlling the plants uses lesser mana than creating them.

If she is to get ahold of the composition of the corrupted plants.

To understand what was their difference other than being simply corrupted, then the battles would be easier in the future.

"Actually someone else have already started trying that," Vermilion Bird remembered and spoke up again without opening his eyes.

Willow didn't have to think who it was.

She had been seeing Hunter looking and analysing the earth around this place.

It means he had thought of the possibility and started trying it out.

"I'll do it," Willow spoke up.

Azure Dragon looked at her with worry.

If he were to say that it is dangerous, Vermilion Bird would surely speak again.

He had heard how Vermilion Bird told Roc and Black Tortoise that they should stop treating the hosts as babies.

"If I can do better then I don't mind having to fight the corruption that may come," Willow said with resolve.

Azure Dragon nodded and returned inside her.

Willow walked out and was determined to begin her training no matter how dangerous it is.

If she can repay Saphira with this, then she will allow herself to improve no matter how unconventional the training is.

And since she didn't want others to know of it, she just told them that she will enter the forest for some training.

Since Azure Dragon was with her, no one thought much about it.

"Four is gone, hmmm one is fine since he is way too enthusiastic in the poisons found in here. The other..."

Vermilion Bird muttered.

"Well I guess he can think about that by himself, he's smart enough to find out how he can improve himself."

He knew Drake was smart enough to know what he can do.

True to his thoughts, Drake was actually roaming the island in search of different kinds of metals.

He needs to know more and control more.

He needs to know if he can incorporate the metals affected by darkness in his own ability.

It is risky but he had seen Hunter, and he had came up with this idea.

Each one of them having thoughts of their own.

Each of them having the desire to improve.

Vermilion Bird flew in front of Saphira, who was still inside the glacier.

"You told them to be strong, I already helped. But you do understand that it is their heart that was weak. How will you change that?"

He was tired of watching the weak humans always getting disheartened and losing their mind because of the unexpected.

But this human was different.

No matter how unexpected, she faces them with firmness of her goal.

That is also why she has to take the brunt of all the blame every time she acts normal when everyone was shock.

"You already have someone you can rely on. But you still choose to move on your own. How painful was that for the other-"

As Vermilion Bird was speaking, this scene suddenly appeared in his head causing him some searing pain.

"What... was that?"

Confusion filled his eyes.

It was so sudden at the same time, it was the first time for all his life to suddenly have such a vision.

"What's wrong?"

He looked up and saw Qirin.

"You don't look well," Qirin added.

Somehow he felt something but didn't know what and came here.

Now he was seeing Vermilion Bird looking all confused.

"With all my feathers how can you tell I am not feeling well?" Vermilion Bird replied before flying up to the table in there just so he wasn't looking up at Qirin.

Qirin rolled his eyes, "Your eyes are still visible and a frown was still obvious."

Though this is one of his traits.

No matter how he wasn't feeling well, he dare not show it to anyone.
