Chapter 101 - CHAPTER 101: Am I Not To Be Respected?

It was the night where Saphira asked those from Cetus Kingdom to call for Willow back in here for they will start their attack in two days before she spoke with Stormie.

She called her in one of the secluded area where there was only the two of them.

She had heard her reason for being late as she spoke about it towards Nixon.

She would have let it go if the reason wasn't as stupid as this.

"Saphi-"

"Our group is quite childish, don't you think so Stormie?" Saphira interrupted her.

She was playing with her sword as she sat by a boulder.

The moon shining down on her, its white light causing one to feel that Saphira was under a cold winter night.

And she herself look so cold.

Stormie pursed her lips upon hearing Saphira's words.

"When we battled in Alquira Empire, I let it go because I wasn't the leader back then. I was not the one leading you," Saphira continued.

She looked up and her cold eyes looked straight at Stormie's white pair.

"I really don't get it though, why you are acting as if we are playing. A mission being not your top priority. I really don't understand Stormie. Please do enlighten me."

Their first place to start their mission was filled with nothing but incompetency.

"If you don't see me as the leader then why did you vote for me to be one?" she continued asking.

Stormie really has no excuse for her actions.

She was pulled by her mother and she allowed her mother to pull her along.

"I really want to calm down, but Drake and Willow made me mad on the first day. I remember saying you return immediately but you returned late with a very shallow reason. Will you be able to calm down yourself?"

It seems that their group still sees things as if they were simply friends.

Others see them as competent and responsible enough but Saphira knew they weren't.

They were incompetent in so many ways.

More so now that she was the one leading them.

"Tell me Stormie. Am I not to be respected?"

She tilted her head to the side and Stormie felt like her breathing stopped.

"I have already informed all of you that on a mission I am the one leading, so why? When everything is in a dangerous situation, why would you choose such a choice?"

"I... have no excuse-"

Stormie almost screamed when Saphira rushed to her and pinned her on a tree behind her.

Her movements was so fast that she couldn't react at all.

"See, your reaction is too slow. Couldn't even dodge, what if I am with ill intent?"

Stormie once again couldn't answer.

Saphira sighed and turned around looking up at the moon.

"When we just arrived here I was so happy about this group because you all are not being idle with your training. But it seems I was entirely wrong."

She returned her sharp look at Stormie, "One after another you showed me nothing but incompetency."

Then she laughed coldly, "Very well then, if you are that strong, go and do things on your own."

"Saphi-"

"Call for the others, I think Willow has already arrived as well," Saphira didn't let her speak.

Stormie knew her wrong and could only follow.

Soon, Saphira was facing the six of them.

"I am wondering why this order was build and a leader was placed in front."

Hunter stared at her, shock within his eyes.

Saphira seemed to have reached her limit.

For the first time, since they reunited, she snapped at her team.

Something she rarely do.

But isn't it normal?

No human would tolerate such things especially in a war.

And because of her patience, their group became too lax.

"I won't command you for anything. Since you are capable enough, then do what you think is best, I won't care nor I would reprimand you. But if just one life is taken from the remaining knights of this kingdom. Then prepare your things and go back to the Empire. You will be out of this mission until this is over."

She didn't wait for any of them to speak before turning to leave.

She didn't return to the camp and no one knew where she went.

Though Nixon and Ridge followed her every command, since the other three have done so much, they were included in being reprimanded as well.

Even Hunter was the same.

"I'm so-"

"Are you going to apologize? You should have known this would happen when you allowed yourself to be swayed," Ridge said in irritation.

Drake walked away, since they were allowed to do things on their own then he can do whatever he wants.

Willow sighed before leaving as well.

Ridge returned thinking about the poisons.

Stormie bowed her head in embarrassment.

"Drake and Willow were the same as you."

That's all Nixon said before he too returned.

His meaning was clear, they were all the same in not taking things seriously.

For her to hear it from Nixon, she could only grit her teeth.

The next day, no one saw Saphira.

But the other six did their job.

Ridge started pouring the poison on the side of the gigantic beast.

On another side, Drake and Willow were fighting.

Hunter remained on the camp.

Nixon was doing his part in healing while Stormie joined another group to fight on another side.

"Your group really can fight even without the command of your leader," Juno commented to Hunter.

"Really?"

They turned to him when he spoke with sarcasm.

"We can fight indeed but we have too much pride," Hunter continued.

He even included himself.

He didn't realize how pathetically scattered their group was.

If not for Saphira pointing everything out, even he himself felt embarrassed as a prince.

"We are strong but then we are too scattered, if stronger enemies appear then what will happen to us, sir?"

When he looked at them Juno and Leon can clearly see, they were wrong.

They were completely wrong about this group.
