There's a first for everything right?
~ ~ ~ ~
I woke up to the sound of my neighbors, mowing their lawn. I rolled my eyes and sat up. Why do they think it's okay to do this at 8 o'clock in the morning? I don't know.
I reached over to grab my phone and check my notifications. I had a couple of random ones, but the missed FaceTime call from Mya stood out to me. I quickly swiped to call her back.
"Hey girl!" She happily greeted me. It looked like she had been up for a while now.
"Girl, how are you up this early?"
"Ew, you look disgusting," she says, "Well I'm coming over, so open the door."
Before I had the chance to say anything, she hangs up. I sat in bed for a nice minute before I hear my doorbell. I groaned, and climbed out of bed. I took my time walking down the stairs because I'm still trying to fully wake up.
I opened the door to see a very excited Mya at my door.
"Don't just stare at me now. Go get dressed, we're going shopping." She said, dragging me back into my room.
"When you say that? I hope you mean online shopping." I plopped on my bed.
"Nope, Nathan's party is tonight, remember?"
"I mean yea, but that's not until later." I said.
"Yea I know but you don't have anything to wear."
I frowned, "And how would you know?" I folded my arms across my chest.
"Izzy, I've known you for three years, and yea you got some nice clothes, but you need more." She looked through my closet, "These look like the same clothes since I first came over here." She complained.
I rolled my eyes and scoffed, "Fine, but I don't wanna spend forever at the mall. I'm going to need time to do my makeup and hair."
"Okay, well you better start getting dressed." She said.

We've been in three stores already, and all I have is a pair of ripped jeans from Akira. This is part of the reason why I hate shopping in stores. Everything is all over the place and it can be very over-whelming. I never know where to start at times.
It's now 3 o'clock, and the party starts at 8. If I don't find a cute top, I'm going to scream.
"Wait, I saw a sweater in your closet that can go with this and you have those white 1's in there that would match too." Mya says.
I frowned, trying to remember which top she's talking about and then it clicked, "Oh I know exactly what you're talking about."
We rushed back to my car to head back to my house. On our way, we stop at Mya's house to get her outfit, the shoes, and makeup.
We get back to my house, and she finds the sweater hanging in my closet. I remember buying it but I definitely have never worn it since the tag is still on it. It's a white, cropped hoodie with the words 'Badwood' written on it. I looked at the sweater and jeans and knew exactly what I was going to do with my makeup and hair.
Once I put on my jeans, I started on my hair. I didn't want to put on my top just yet because I can't risk getting it dirty since it is white. I grabbed my Eco Styling gel, spray bottle, hair tie, comb and brush. I decided that I wanted a sleek low bun for today. Its simple, and I wont have to worry about my hair all night. I then wrapped my satin scarf around my hair so my hair wont get frizzy before the party.
Once my hair was done, I went to my vanity and started on my makeup. I decided on a more neutral eye look, but a bold lip color. I finished spraying my face with my setting spray and turned to see if Mya was done.
"Are you done yet?" I asked. Once I saw her outfit my eyes widened. "Damn girl look at you!" I pulled out my phone and went to snapchat, "My bestie a baddie!" I gassed her up. She did a spin as she flipped her hair and smiled.
She is wearing olive green skinny jeans, with a black tank top and she put a blue jean jacket over it and her black thigh high boots. She curled her hair and applied light makeup as well.
"You talking about me, but girl look at you." She spun me around and and put a video of me on her snap as well.
After we finished taking pictures, we headed downstairs and told my parents the plans for tonight and what time they should expect us back. We said our 'goodbyes' as we walked out of my house and got into Mya's car.
"Dude, I still can't get over how cool your parents are. Like, they let you do almost anything..." she rambled on.
I chuckled and plugged my phone into the AUX cord in her car a turned on Back Up by Dej Loaf. Immediately, Mya started singing
"Ooo yah yah, bitch, back up off me,"
"You don't know me, I'm too clean, I'm too holy, bitch, I'm godly." I sung the next verse.
We were singing the song together until we realized we made it to the house. I sat there in awe when I saw how big the house was.
We had to park my car a little bit up the street since Nathan's house is literally packed with people.
We both got out the car, and saw a couple of people standing outside; others making out. I opened the door and was met with a strong stench of sweat and alcohol. I look around and see tons of people; most of them were from school.
Mya grabbed my hand, and pulled me through the large crowd into the kitchen. It was crowded there too but not as crowded at the front room. When we got there, Mya disappeared to go talk to someone. I shrugged my shoulders and went straight towards the food and punch.
"I wouldn't touch that if I were you." A husky voice with a slight accent, said behind me. I turn my head to see the boy from Portillo's.
"Hey, you're the cashier dude." I smiled, "What are you doing here?"
"Aaron, and I'm here with my brother, who's around here somewhere..." he said looking around, "So, who are you here with?"
"My best friend. I don't know if you remember her, but she was the really short one with the really long hair."
"Oh yea, I do."
"Before I forget, where are you from?"
"Italy."
"Wow that's amazing, but what made you move to Chicago?"
"Just a fresh start, and Chicago's a beautiful city... but I've lived here for a while now." I nodded my head in agreement.
Just when I was about to ask another question, I realized something, "Wait a minute. Are you the new transfer student at De?"
"De?" he gave me a questioning look.
"Yea, De La Salle."
"Oh yea, Adam and I go there now." I raised my eyebrow, wondering who Adam was, "Adam is my twin brother." he said smiling.
"Ohhh, so are you guys identical or fraternal?" Wow, I'm asking a lot of questions.
"Fraternal," I sighed in relief.
Just as I was about to say something, I heard loud cheering coming from the dining room. Aaron and I both rush to the other room to see what all the noise was.
Once I turn the corner, I see my best friend laying on the table, and a blonde boy licking something off of her.
"Oh my god," Aaron and I say at the same time.
I look up, "You know that boy?"
"Yea, unfortunately... That's my brother, Adam." I didn't say anything else because I didn't exactly know what to say.
Aaron walked towards Adam, and pulled him off of Mya. He dragged him towards the patio. I quickly run up to Mya, help her off the table, and take her to the nearest bathroom to clean her up. I heard guys booing once I dragged her away, but I refuse to let my best friend go down like this.
As soon as we got to the bathroom, she went straight for the toilet. I walked over and held her hair back. I honestly thought it would be me with my head over the toilet, but I guess not.
"You okay?" Stupid question, I know, but I don't know what else to say.
"I am now." She chuckles pulling her hair back from her face. I grab a towel from the closet, wet it, and clean off the rest of her makeup, so she won't be looking like a raccoon.
She hops off the counter fixes her hair, and I hand her a piece of gum as we walk back outside. I see her stop, and I look in front of her to see Aaron and I'm guessing Adam standing there. I can see how they're twins now. The only difference is that Aaron's hair is shorter, and Adam's hair is longer, and Aaron is a little bit taller than Adam.
"Hey, I'm sorry about my brother, he-"
"Aren't you that cashier from Portillo's? Aaron, right?"
Aaron nodded, "Yea." Mya mumbled cool under her breath.
"Anyways, it's okay, I mean, it's a party and stuff like this happens."
"Okay, well I need to get him home, it was nice seeing you guys again." He smiled and walked away with his brother.
"He seems nice." Mya pointed out. I nodded my head in agreement.
I was ready to go back down to the party, but Mya looked like she was ready to go to bed, so I decided to cut the night short. We head back to the car, and I decided to drive since I wasn't intoxicated.
I helped Mya in the car and we were on the way. Because Mya was so drunk and I didn't want her parents to her that way, I took her back to mine. My parents were asleep when we got back, so we had to be quiet as we were walking through the house.
Mya kept trying to talk loudly, so I had to 'shush' her every five seconds it seemed like. We got to my room, and I gave Mya one of my oversized shirts to sleep in and she went straight to sleep. I tired to help her take off her makeup, but she kept fighting against it, so I left her be.
I, on the other hand, still had to take off my makeup and my outfit. I started with my jeans since they were kind of uncomfortable. I took off everything else, put on spandex, and a t-shirt and went to bed. Although I didn't get to enjoy the party to it's full extent, I still had fun night.
