Damon noticed the atmosphere between Zedicus and Malia. It was odd and creepy. It was disturbing. He noticed the way Zedicus was staring at her. He noticed how uneasy it made Malia feel. She wasn't even able to talk anymore. She kept looking down at her feet and occasionally staring up to check if Zedicus was still staring and she kept meeting his eyes on her.
Zedicus made it clear that he was staring at her for he did it openly. While the others thought of a plan to bring into existence, Zedicus busied himself with staring at Malia.
Damon threw a glance over at Xeres. He wanted her to see her lover staring at another woman. But she wasn't even looking at Zedicus. She had no idea what Zedicus was doing by her side.
