It was the first day of school for students who had been accepted. There nervous commoners and boisterous nobles, some in the middle. Licht wanted nothing to do with this, he had spent enough days in school to last him a few lifetimes. Still, he didn't know enough about the world to go roaming about. And he wasn't stupid enough to ignore that fact.
"We have to check for our classes, dumbass!" A boy yells from behind Licht. "I-I know, but...I'm nervous." A timid voice utters. Licht wonders for a moment, 'Indeed, I don't know my class. But where-'
"What there to be nervous about?! It right on the notice board! I just had to be stuck in the same school as you." Licht silently thanked the boy and went to check for his class.
It was crowded around the board. With sweaty teenagers, going through puberty, jostling and pushing one another. Licht slowly tries to push his way forward, while using as little strength as possible. If he were to cause trouble on the first day, he would never hear the end of it.
With all the jostling, Licht decided to give up and wait for the crowd to disperse. Classes weren't starting until half an hour anyway. As a tactical retreat, he moved backward wiggling from the crowd. That is until he feels someone's hot breath on his face.
He whips his face to the right, then up to look the tall figure straight in the eye. It was impossible for someone that tall to do something like that coincidentally. Licht shivered in disgust as he cleans his ear, "What?" He demands.
The tall figure laughs hysterically ignoring his question. He had blonde hair, that seemed dyed, with black roots. His green eyes glowed from the sunlight and his lips were curved in a manic grin. He wore the same uniform that Licht wore, a black pair of trousers and a shirt, both lined with gold thread. He wore a white robe, lined with green; signaling that he is of higher rank.
"Don't you know me?" And Licht cringes, "What the fuck?! Is this a trend now?!" He grumbles to himself. It felt like he had heard that phrase millions of times.
"My name is Ansell Garet-"
"Yeah. ~ I honestly don't give a fuck." Licht closes as he walks closer to the bord and begins to search for his name. He wasn't in any of the lower classes.
"You!" Ansel growls as he grabs Licht's seemingly delicate arms. "Feisty, huh? Don't you worry, all you have to do is become my woman." He says as he licks his lips.
Despite his almost average height, Licht still had feminine features. It was obvious he had a male's uniform on, but it seems it wasn't very convincing. "Look," Licht begins and pinches the bridge of his nose. A habit of his when annoyed.
"I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not a girl." He gritted out. He had to apologize for something that wasn't his fault, anyone would be annoyed in a situation like this. And Ansel still held him by the arm.
"Huh? What do you mean? Clearly-"
"I'm a guy." He stated with a tight and strict tone.
"Stop messing-"
"I'm a guy." He deadpans again, giving Ansel a hard stare.
"You bitch! I'm trying to be nice here, but you-"
"I. Am. A. Guy." He pronounced it loud and clear as he grabs Ansel's hand and places it on his chest. Feeling nothing underneath, Ansel's face turns from blushed to pale. Realizing his huge misunderstanding, he grumbles something under his breath and stomps away.
Licht sighs and continues his search. He wasn't in the upper classes either. Just where was his...
"You're kidding me! Isn't this asking to be killed?!"
His name was on the Hero class list, right above someone with the name of Princess Elizabeth. He grasped the bridge of his nose as he squeezed his eyes shut.
"Nothing I can do about it now. Got to get to class...Wait. Where is my class?"

Saying he was late was an understatement. Licht had missed up to an hour and a half of class when he found his classroom. He opened the unnecessarily fancy door that said 'Hero class' and walked in. The voice that was previously talking paused, "You're here." A voice hoarsely whispered.
Serece was his instructor, for magic courses at least. She pales as she remembered their previous encounter but soon shook her head in disappointment. 'I should at least fulfill my role as a teacher' she thought briefly before turning her attention to Licht.
"You can choose any seat from the bleachers, but this should be the first and last time you arrive late." She ordered mustering all the courage she had to say the last phrase.
Licht nods his head silently and climbs up to the very last seat at the back of the class. He leaned on his hand with his elbow on the table, as he listened to her repeat a vague summary of all she has said.
"Now, it's time for everyone here to introduce themselves." She chirped distracting herself from the scary figure at the corner of the class.
