No wind...
No sound...
Nothing...
Not a thing around me moved as I frowned in confusion. 'What the fuck's happening? Did I awaken Mangekyo?'
I awakened my Sharingan when my father took the explosion for me, I felt huge waves of chakra rushing towards my eyes when I saw his limbs flying everywhere. 'But if I did awaken Mangekyo, how?'
Deciding not to overthink, I took a kunai and looked at the reflection to check my eyes.
...
...
and...
...
Nothing.
No Mangekyo, just the 'average' three tomoe spiraling. I don't know why I got three tomoes when I awakened the bloodline, so don't ask me.
'What's going on? Did something happen to trigger this phenomenon?'
I walked around for a few minutes and decided to go back to the position I was in, 'What if...'
I went in front of my mother, the exact same position I was in before the time stopped, 'Come on Musashi, think of the time continuing...'
And it did.
I could hear the wind blowing at such a low volume, 'Fuck, it worked! Shit!'
"Musa-chan? What were you about to say?" Mother raised her eyebrows, I think she's confused since I was about to say something a moment ago.
"N-Nothing," I said while looking down, "I justed wanted to say that I'll be the one protecting you from now on."
I then looked at her while smiling heartily, this made her kneel and tears flew down even more.
'Poor mom... and me...' I thought.
I sighed as I hugged her, "I love you mom... I promise to protect you and my little sibling..."
She widened her eyes and broke the hug to look at me in question, to which I wryly smiled.
I pointed towards my eyes and activated the sharingan as she gasped, but understood. She heard what happened from Fugaku himself.
Mother sighed and stood up, "As you can see, you're going to have a sibling," she said as I nodded, "That's why you need to be strong and protect our family, okay?"
I listened patiently and nodded with a smile.
"I know I can't stop you from being a shinobi, and I won't. However, please never forget to be careful, alright?" She said as I nodded again in understanding.
"Lastly, I'll always worry for you, no matter what," She lightly smiled, "although that's given since I'm your mother..."
"Yes, mom," I smiled as I hugged her again.
"Now, why don't you and talk to Itachi for a bit? He's always very lonely, just practicing all day," she carressed my cheeks as I nodded in reluctance.
She saw this and just ruffled my hair, so I walked away. However, I could see her looking at the grave my father with a sad face even though my back was against her.
I don't know why, but I could sense people and their emotions if I focused enough. I should sharpen this ability.
'I promise, I'll be stronger than anything that comes my way. If anybody tries to hurt my mother and upcoming sibling, I swear...'
I cleared my mind, trying to release the heat off with a sigh, which worked... barely.
Itachi was sitting on a bench, watching the ceremony take place with an emotionless face. I approached him and sat beside him, "Hey..."
"I'm sorry..."
I looked at him in confusion, "What?"
"I wasn't able to save you and your father..." Itachi emotionlessly looked down, I could feel how sad he was.
Honestly, Itachi's the first person I met in this world to be this depressed. We're still so young yet he's already being burdened by his father with so much responsibilities. Itachi was a genius and uncle Fugaku could see that, that's why he thrusted every information into Itachi's head forcibly, not worrying for any consequence.
He was also dragged by his father to see the battle field at four years old, and I was there.
It's just... sad.
Itachi's life is so messed up, 'I won't let that happen this time, I'm an Uchiha and Danzo wants all of us dead. Well, he can eat shit before that happens.'
"Itachi, look at me," I said as I placed my hand on his shoulder, "It's not your fault, we're still kids. We can't be faulted with situations that are out of our league."
"I don't blame you for what happened, in fact, I blame our dad. I blame them for bringing four year-olds at a battlefield... but what happened, happened..."
Itachi's eyes lit up a little after hearing that I didn't blame him, "..."
"The only thing we can right now is to get strong to protect our loved ones and our clan, the stronger, the better." I said as I stood up.
"But for now, I must grieve."
