I am looking for their bow among the many weapons on the racks. The usual ones like swords and daggers were the first things to be displayed in front. There were a lot of weapons I know and I never heard of being taken by players I was with.
Only until I went to the utmost back part of the room did I see three different bows hanged on the wall.

[Short Bow]

"A mass-produced short bow made of wood for the sole purpose of training the Knights of Twilight City."
Condition of use: Level 1
[Cross Bow]
Grade: Common
Durability: 100/100
Attack Power: 4-5
"A mass-produced crossbow made of mostly wood for the sole purpose of training the Knights of Twilight City."
Condition of use: Level 1
I examined them one by one and saw the stats of each bow. The straightforward description alone was enough to know that these were the worst among the worst set of weapons you could probably find in this game.
The one I have been practising with for the past week looks a lot like this longbow in my hand. But before, I finalize my decision, I want to try the other two first since they were not available during my training days.
A big part of the fun in this game lies on these weapons, so I should try a few of them just in case I find a better fit for me.
Firstly, I took the crossbow. It looks the most interesting among the bunch and as expected, it has the most different playstyle among the rest.
It feels more like a gun rather than a bow. I can imagine that crossbows will be considered as the easiest weapon to handle since you only need to press the trigger, reload, and the cycle goes one.
This common crossbow could shoot 3 arrows in rapid succession, but it takes time to reload another set. I also noticed that putting the arrows totally depends on me. This means that the player who can reload faster in a duel against the same equipment will win.
If someone prefers dealing multiple damages in a short matter of time at a distance, this is the weapon for them. I see Critical Rate being an important stat for players who uses this weapon.
Second, the short bow. It was just like the longbow with lesser damage and lesser range. What truly shines in it though is the ability to manoeuvre while tracking and shooting the enemy. A perfect for players who prefer balance range playstyle.
While I was testing the capabilities of these bows, I found the safety mechanic of these bows interesting. If I pull the string more than it is capable of, it will automatically revert to its resting position avoiding damaging the weapon itself. A weird yet acceptable addition.
Twenty minutes and I am done testing other types of bows to my satisfaction. I am now walking back to the lobby when I spotted the rude guy talking near the receptionist. He was now with a group of four who looks like a bunch of thugs in the corner of a deserted street.
"Hey, kid. Will you give us your weapon after you finished choosing one? My brother here really wants to try the spear, but he already chose one so I'm asking you."
They were surrounding a young boy who was almost half their size. Now that I mention it, they were all unbelievably tall. They must have changed their appearance.
"I don't want to. I won't have any weapon if I gave this to you."
"Don't worry about it, kid. We will party up with you and get another one. Unless you want us to take it by force when you go outside the city? We don't want that, right?"
He was clearly uncomfortable with the constant pressure the four thugs were putting on him. Clearly, the thugs know that they are not able to touch him because of the instant protections cast on the players when inside a city. This only triggers when damage is dealt between the players or reporting the misconduct themselves.
Those thugs seem to know that the boy does not know the latter way of avoiding bullying in the city turning him into an easy target for them. If this continues, he might really lose his starter weapon.
"Excuse me. Look likes there a problem in the reception area. Can you investigate?"
I went to the closes NPC knight and reported what was occurring. I know that it does not concern and I do not want to deal it myself. But having these people block the way annoys me, so I went to the safest way and undoubtedly the most effective way of reporting them while stirring away from the trouble itself.
Just seconds after I reported it, they were surrounded by the knights in an attempt to investigate what was going on.
"What's the problem here?"
"Ge- there's a knight... There's no problem Sir. We were just discussing what to do next after we leave this place"
"Is that all? You should be more aware of your surroundings. People are being disturbed"
"Thank you, Sir. It won't happen next time"
The group of thugs bowed down towards the knights before leaving shortly after. But before they left the scene, they have few words to the boy which I cannot hear. Based on his reaction, I can imagine that it was threats of some sort.
I should probably teach him some things to avoid these things, or my consciousness will get the best of me.
