"Hey, you."
"Ah! Oh, may I help you?"
He looks like he was still on the edge of things after meeting those people. Having a closer view of this person, I can totally understand why those thugs have chosen him as a target. His face has naivety written all over it.
"What did those guys tell you?"
"They said that I should not think about going outside or else they will kill me over and over again."
"How low. You should avoid them for the meantime. They can't afford to waste any longer than a day killing you. Use the other exits besides the common one. It may take longer circling around but at least you won't be ganged up when you go outside. I doubt they'll take put too much effort for finding you."
"Oh, Thank you very much? How do you know these things? And sorry if it's rude, but who might sister be?"
"You can call me Cherry Winter. Almost all beginner stuff can be found on their website. They want to let the players experience the outside world as soon as possible so they posted a starter guide. You can also find the map of every beginner city. It would be useful for you who needs to find another exit."
"Wow, you're like a pro gamer. Thank you very much. I'm Barbeque Rooster, may I add you?"
"That's a weird name. Anyway, you can add me. I should probably go since I still have some stuff to do."
"Thanks once again, Big Sis."
We both bid our farewells and went to our own businesses. He was done with the quest, so he was leaving while I am on my way to complete it. Luckily, only a few people were lining up at the receptionists. It was my turn immediately when I reached there.

My vision was filled with notification after notification. I checked every new item in my inventory. This would be my first time checking my character page and I do not know where half of these commands go.
I hovered around the Friends List making me remember that I should probably add Aria and Michelle already. Although Barbeque Rooster's friend request was the first thing to show up when I opened the Friends tab.
When I searched for LadyQueen Blade and Michi Mochi, it was listed that both were level 3 already. They were jumping the gun so fast considering that quests in this game are very rare and does not give any experience. The only way to level up is through fighting alone.
It did not take long for them to accept my request and message me. It was Aria who only message me though.
[You're still level 1 Cherry! Are you still doing the weapon thingy?]
[I'm already done with it. Are you with Michelle? I'm planning to go solo for a while since it looks like I'm late.]
[Why are you going solo? Michelle and I are already partied up along with two more Randoms.]
[It's faster to level up playing solo. I also want to try some things which would delay your exp grinding if I joined the party.]
[If you say so. What weapon did you choose? Mine is sabre. Greatswords, which were my first choice supposedly, were too difficult to swing around so I decided to go with lighter weapons. Sabres was the one that took my vote just because it feels right. And if you're wondering, Michi is the one swinging a great sword.]
[Somehow, I expected her to choose that one somehow. You both will be the frontline when we party up since I picked the longbow.]
[There's a bow? I don't see anyone with a bow yet. Anyhow, we are going to tackle an elite monster. I can't message for a while.]
[No worries. Good luck.]
I close the chatbox and went back to whatever I was doing. My next destination is the general shop because it gives one of the most useful quests for starters.
The guide posted by ETHER covered some basic quests that could be done in the city and have useful rewards like healing potions and such. Many of them were the delivery type of quest that does not involve any combat, so it does not look like it was popular to many players.
The general shop owner was one of the few people who has a quest that required killing some monster for completion. And true to it when I saw the shop, player after player went in and out of the building.
"Welcome, how can I help you?"
"I heard you need help."
"Are you one of the travellers? Thank Goodness. One of the trading routes is being blocked by goblins. If they are not removed soon, my supply will be late for the next trade. I'm hoping you can do something about it, traveller."
"I got it."
"Thank you, traveller. I'm waiting for the good news."
[Clear the trade routes]
Difficulty: Player Quest
"Shop owner Philip is having trouble with his trades recently. The roads used for trading are being camped by goblins who are threatening the travellers and merchants. It is up to you to defeat the goblins and restore the order of the trading route."
Requirement: Goblins defeated 0/10
Quest Rewards: 5 Small healing potions, 50g
That was how you normally accept quests in this game. Besides the rarity of quests, finding and accepting one is does not come easily. People or objects do not have any exclamation mark or any markers that show that they give any type of quest. It is just that this shop owner was one of the people written in the beginner's guide.
Thankfully, the map that is already included in my inventory was marked to give the direction where to go. The map only contains the details of little parts outside the city, but it was enough for my quest to be marked. It would be tedious if I need to discover the quest location myself.
Now that I have all things ready, I went outside the city for my first monster hunting.
