Jake stared at the flower for a moment. "Wow Trinity." Jake said, "You sure are lucky."
"Jake," Sarah said with a sad smile, "I can assure you, out of all the things that I am made up of, luck, luck is not one of them."
Jake looked at her with a confused look. It was a very odd statement for somebody to make. With that sad little smile that Trinity had given him, it made him think that something must have happened for her to say that.
"Well Trinity… All I know is that you got very lucky today for you hold in your hand the precious and very rare Diamond Daisy." Jake said.
"What is the Diamond Daisy?" Trinity asked. She was confused, she had never heard of it before.
"The Diamond Daisy is a magical flower. It is very rare and hard to find or grow. The reason why they are so hard to find is because they can live in any condition. Whether it be in the desert, underground or even on the highest mountain peak. The reason why it is so hard to grow is because there is a lack of the flowers, it is very difficult to obtain seeds. Also, we do not know the needs of the flower so we don't know whether it needs to be watered daily, hourly, weekly, maybe even only once a month. We do not know if it needs moderate sunlight, very little or excessive because as I said before, it can live underground or in the desert and both of time under direct sunlight is very different." Jake told her.
"They say that the Diamond Daisy will always find its way to the deserving. It will always find its way to the ones who need it most, the ones who will not abuse its power, the ones who are worthy. " Jake said in a mysterious tone
"Wow! That's really cool… but, you never really said what the power of this flower was…" Trinity said.
"Oh, yes! Sorry about that, the power of the Diamond Daisy is mind reading abilities. But unlike other mind reading elements and herbs, this one will not perish if plucked and has a soul alignment with another. To see if you have a soul alignment with it, you just need to smell the flower and close your eyes. Legend says that you will see a burst of light if you do but if you see nothing, you don't." Jake said, getting more excited for every second he was talking about the flower.
Trinity stared at the ordinary booking flower before her. It didn't look like anything special. It had a simple green stem and leaves. A yellow center, just like any other flower. She looked at the purple colored petals, they seemed ordinary too. But, looks can be deceiving. If Trinity had learned anything, that was one thing she now knew by heart.
She slowly brought the flower to her nose. She inhaled the subtle scent of lavender, rose and lemons. She smelled something else that she couldn't quite identify as well. She felt a bit sleepy and closed her eyes. Her head tilted back and her arm slumped, but she did not let go of the flower.
Sarah instantly got up to see if Trinity was ok because Jake had only said something about seeing a light, not anything about falling asleep or passing out! But, Jake stopped her. He told her to sit down and if she woke Trinity up while she was in this state, it could possibly kill her or do massage damage to her mental state.
Trinity looked around. She was standing one a cloud that was fading and swirling with the colors purple and white. She looked up. She was surrounded by the colors pulp and white. They seemed to swirl together, weaving in and out. Dancing, almost. She looked in every direction. She was alone. Only surrounded by purple, and white.
Hesitantly, she began to walk forward. She couldn't tell the difference between left or forward, right or down, backward or up. She was surrounded by purple and white steam, the walls were never ending purple and white, Trinity didn't even know that she was going up and down on stairs occasionally because one could not tell the difference between the floor and the stairs. The perfectly marbled purple and white changed and adapted to the direction she was looking in or heading.
Trinity was lost. Or, maybe she had never really gone anywhere to begin with. She felt the steam walls closing in on her. She felt like the steam ceiling was slowly lowering and the floor was rising.
She began to see rigid lines in the purple and white. Before, the purple and white were marbled together, dancing without another worry in the world. Now, the curves were turned into sharp points. Like they were in a sword fight. Purple vs White. Who will win?
Trinity didn't like this. Her breath came faster and heavier. She felt anxious by how the beautiful marbled steam had turned so violent. She began to walk faster. She soon found herself running. Running from the jagged lines. Running from the walls that were closing in on her. Coming from all directions, faster and faster, until she ran to the light.
Trinity looked around. She was only surrounded by one color not. That color was a very light gray. The gray was bright and shiny, it was definitely not the color gray that would be seen in nature.
She looked around, but all she could see was gray.
Then, there was a voice.
"Darling, darling! Why did you run? Always running from your memories. Afraid to face them, yes? Well, you are going to have to face them one day. No matter how hard you try to avoid them, you will have to see them once again. Until them, do me a favor and keep this flower around" Said a mysterious voice. She could not tell the age or the gender from the voice. She could not see anything either. Before she knew it, she was back in the circle of demigods, they were all looking at her with either expectant or worried looks
