Chapter 3 - The Exhibition

She had worked diligently each night after school until she was the only one awake and then she'd be awake before dawn continuing. She'd spent two days on his portrait, diligently agonising over each tiny detail. She hadn't seen him since that day, she'd watched from her dorm window waiting for him to leave his home. He never left, never turned on a light, it was like he stopped existing. She pined and waited like a diligent puppy. She had spent lots of time with Brenna in the art room, learning about her. She stood now before her stands in the grand hall. Everything had been covered in black silk to accentuate the art works. She carefully set up each painting, placing them to create a frame around the larger painting. She wanted all eyes to be on Mr Hareena, to see him as she does. A mysterious man with a hidden warmth.

A hand on her shoulder made her spin around, Brenna stood behind her marvelling at her artworks. "I'm sure you'll win first prize, they're amazing." She had finished setting up her piece. She'd used the mannequin as a base for a sculpture to show nature bursting through the cracks. She was very skilled. "I actually really like yours, you've used various mediums which makes it unique." The two hugged before they turned back to their own pieces to finalise everything. There was only an hour before The Exhibition and Julie still had to do her hair, make up and get dressed. The students with pieces in the exhibition were allowed to wear formal dresses while all the other girls had to be in school uniform. It was a chance for some students to show their personal taste, Julie just wanted to get the attention of one man, one gorgeous man. She left the hall running through the halls yet again.

She got to her dorm to find all her friends there to help her get ready. They'd switched out her simple blue dress for a deep red dress It had cap sleeves with a deep neckline and red sparkles on the bodice, the skirt was long, the glittery silky fabric glowing in the light. Over all it was gorgeous stopping at the floor. Her friends had paired it with deep red stiletto pumps and a vintage diamond choker. She was ushered into the bathroom to have a quick shower. Jesse stood at the door with a robe for her when she finished. Then she proceeded to style her hair into a delicate bun and braid mix, leaving curled wisps around her face and down her neck. She sat in the vanity chair as Katie did her make up, in the end she looked hot to say the least. She was pushed to put the dress on. It was skin tight, making her 10D tits look even bigger, accentuating every curve of her body.

What the girls hadn't told her was that the dress had a slit, a slit that went up to her hip. She was terrified, everyone would see her ass. As she displayed her displeasure to her friends they just smiled. "Stand still." Jesse said as she knelt in front of her with a red ribbon. It was only then she noticed the small holes along the slit. Jesse thread the ribbon through them down to her knee where she tied a bow, then ensured she could walk before she put on the heels and jewellery. "Ok Julie. Ditch the underwear. Don't give me that look, everyone can see them remember, off." Jesse was not kind as she held out her hand. Julie wiggled out of her black lace panties passing them to her friend. She looked in the mirror and was shocked at the transformation, she look like she stepped right off of a vintage runway. They tied another bow around her waist and shooed her out of the door.

She wobbled a little but soon learnt how to walk. She wouldn't be running in these shoes. She chuckled to herself as she reached the grand doors to the hall. Everyone would be on the other side listening to all the instructions. She became so nervous, she turned around but stopped before she could leave. He was at the other end of the hall heading towards her. His head was down as he fiddled with his cuffs. She immediately spun back to the door and entered through it. No one looked over instead listening to the stage. She stood at the side of the stage, waiting for her introduction. The darkness seemed to envelope her as she waited. Mr Hareena entered the doors and rushed past her onto the stage. He was introduced and then began reading the entry names, the girls going onto stage to be presented.

She listened to his voice, hating him saying other names. "Kayla Barn. Diana Cane. Ju..Julie Ceers." She startled at her name and carefully moved her way up onto the stage. The bright lights momentarily blinded her, they made her dress shine as she walked up to the front. She heard a soft growl and turned to see Mr Hareena staring at her, his eyes dark and hungry. She left the stage to stand by her art, waiting for the night to begin.

She sensed him before she saw him. He went from the stage directly to her. "What are you wearing Ju? I can see all the way up your leg." He sounded gruff but she could see the hunger in his eyes. She was tempting the devil but enjoying it. "I thought it'd be fun to dress up." She said sweetly stepping towards him. "I wanted to see what would happen." Her whisper was sent to him, she saw his hands clench at his side as she stood closer to him. "Do you like it?" They both knew damn well she wasn't talking about the painting. "Yes. I want to look at it every day." He growled out, he was so close to snapping and taking her. She stepped back as other students admired her artwork. It was only then his eyes moved from her to the paintings. She saw the shock on his face of how she had captured his family. He looked closely at his own portrait seeing himself almost for the first time. She depicted him to be different from how he saw himself.

He placed his voted with her, his hand then resting on her shoulder as he whispered into her ear "Wait for me." He then left to look at other artworks and she did as she was told and waited for him. The night drew to a close and the votes were counted. She stood with her fellow artists as the awards ceremony began. The short, shrivelled old man on stage stepped up to the microphone, his voice whiney. "In third place with a multi-medium piece is Brenna Michaels. She has won $200 and a day pass at Lagoon Resort." Everyone clapped as Brenna went on stage, her elegant purple dress gliding with her. She stood to the side with her small trophy. "In second place with a charcoal modernist artwork is Grace Zela. She has won $300 and a two night cruise down the Carmen River." Grace went up on stage in her short black dress, standing beside Brenna with her trophies as the cheers died down.

"Finally in first place by a massive 20 votes. A surprise winner with an assortment of paintings is Julie Ceers. She has won $500 and grant for a school upgrade." Julie slowly went on stage, the unreal moment shocking her. She shook hands and got an award until she stood before Mr Hareena. He smiled down at her as he held his hand out. She gently shook it before lining up with the other girls. Cheers and claps started up again until everyone was ushered to the cafeteria for a grand feast. That was the fun of being at an all girl's boarding school, there were lots of events and big dinners.
