Chapter 55 - The Royal Meeting

The capital city of the Spring Kingdom. Which is also called the Springfield Kingdom where people are working day and night. People can see it as the most urbanized city in the whole Spring Kingdom.

It is also known for its development of Magical Circuitry and Magical Technologies. Everywhere, there were floating machines that were powered by energy. Golems that patrols the city are all powered by energy that even if there's no summoner around, they can still exist.

Luis entered the palace which is twice bigger than the Divine Prophecy academy. The guards lead the young man and after they climb a long staircase. A spacious room appeared in front of them as a red carpet was laid down from the entrance to the platform where sophisticated looking chairs are placed where one is bigger than the others and it has more delicate carvings and designs.

As he looked around, a long table was placed in from of the chairs as people with formal wear are sitting on the chairs along with the long table, only one of the chairs is not occupied, which is in the middle part of the table. Luis was lead by the guards to his respective seat.

As soon as he took a seat, the guards bowed to the man sitting on the biggest chair and immediately leave the room.

The man is wearing a red robe with a purple cape hanging behind his back as a crown was placed on his head, signifying his status on this kingdom. He looked like he is in his mid-thirties and some of his hair has greys on it but he looked younger than the books are saying about him.

He is Agnario Crixius Springfield V, the current king of the Spring Kingdom.

"I welcome you, Ignacius Luis Delmont, to the Royal Meeting of the Royalties. Hope you have a great time today!" The king spoke as he welcomed the young man in the room.

"Congratulations Luis for saving Armeton and giving hope to the other towns who are infected." Marquis Anthony congratulated the young man.

"I thank you, young man, for saving my people. Accept this as my token of gratitude!" Marquis Agron thanked the young man as he gave him an emblem with the royal insignia on it.

"What is this Marquis Agron?" Luis asked as he examined the emblem.

"It's the insignia of the partial authority over those towns. I'm giving it as a reward for your work but remember our deal, okay!" The man winked at him.

Luis nodded as he kept the emblem and continued to pay attention to his surroundings. The people inside silently ate until the king decided to break it.

"You all know that this is not simply a gathering right?" The king asked as the people inside nodded in agreement besides Luis who was gathering all of his thoughts.

"To let you all know, our kingdom is having a threat from the enemy forces. Their first step is to annihilate the area along our boundaries." The king informed them as he looked at every one of them.

"I heard that you're a smart lad, is it true? Mind to speak to us what's on your mind right now young man?" The king looked at Luis as he asked the young man.

"Yes, your majesty!" Luis replied as he took a large map and with a simple manipulation of energy, the map float until everyone inside the room can see the whole map.

"This is the map of the towns which are affected by the plague. You can see that all of the affected towns are using the water from the Elton River which flows along with the towns. I suspected that the river was the cause until one of my teammates confirmed my theory by informing me that Magnis Town is already infected. I ask Marquis Agron to hold a decree restricting all of the towns along the Elton River from using its water." Luis informed.

"What does it have to do with the threat of terrorism?" One of the royalties asked.

"Good question! As you can see, a mountain was also inscribed on the map. That is the place where the past Eristreas Town was and to be exact. This town also uses the same water from the Elton River. I suspect that they use the Eristreas Town as their first step in terrorizing!" Luis replied.

"Do you have any evidence supporting your claims?" Another royalty asked.

"Yes, my evidence is the disease that spread through the infected towns." Luis simply stated as he marked the affected towns.

"What does that disease have to do with terrorism?" The Queen who was sitting beside the king asked.

She looked composed and elegant. A hint of wisdom can be seen from her eyes as a look stating she can read the young man's mind emerged.

"I know that your majesty has the initial idea of the disease linked with terrorism. The terrorists used the disease to slowly infect our kingdom until we are in a state of vulnerability. Then they will attack the kingdom in time when it can't protect itself." Luis explained.

"You still didn't answer my question. What does the disease have to do with terrorism?" The queen asked again.

"Your majesty, the disease is a man-made parasite that can infect people as long as they ingested it. It is the revived ancient parasite called the Micro Corruptors. They are the parasites that slowly burn their prey until they are down to bones. The symptoms will be blisters which were caused by internal burning, vomiting from extreme dehydration, and nausea from the internal heat." Luis explained.

"You mean..." Marquis Anthony exclaimed in realization.

"Yes, the terrorists are reviving the ancient diseases that killed most of the people from the past," Luis confirmed their realizations.

"You have the guts to speak what's on your mind in front of his majesty when you don't have enough evidence to support your claims!" The queen stated as a gentle aura was concentrated on the young man but this also brought a heavy aura of intimidation.

The young man didn't flinch but instead, he smiled at the queen that made the latter surprised by the young man's abilities.

"I won't say things which I'm not confident your majesty. You are right! I don't have any evidence, but I have a witness!" Luis smiled as he looked at the throne where the pair who ruled the whole Spring Kingdom were sitting.

"And who would it be?" The queen asked.

"None other than your Royal Physicians, your majesty!" Luis answered.

"Call the Royal Physician here!" King Agnario exclaimed as the guards immediately went to fetch the Royal Physician.

A few minutes past and the guards came back with an old man who looked familiar to the young man.

It was the Royal Physician who came to the Armeton Town when Lirio and Ikton tried to claim the cure for themselves.

"We meet again, young man!" The Royal Physician greeted Luis.

"It's a pleasure to meet you again, Royal Physician!" Luis greeted back.

"What can I do for you, your majesty? Are you feeling sick?" The Royal Physician asked.

"No, I call you here to give testaments for the young man's claims." The king waved as he told him his purpose.

"I will be obliged with loyalty and honesty, your majesty!" The Royal Physician bowed.

"You may start now, young man!" The king instructed the young man.

"Yes, your majesty! Royal Physician, may I ask, how long are you serving the Royal Family as their physician?" Luis asked.

"I'm already serving the Royal Family way back when the current king is still an infant!" The physician replied.

"So I can confidently say that you have a vast knowledge and experience in regards to diseases?" Luis stated.

"I can't say that I have the vast knowledge but I knew a lot!" The physician humbly replied.

"Okay, for the main question, what do you know about the Micro Corruptor Parasites?" Luis asked.

"You have the knowledge, young man! Well, from what I know. The Micro Corruptor Parasites are the parasites that Saint Drachius made to try and kill all of the humans and rule their territories!" The physician explained.

"Would you mind explaining what happened after that?" Luis asked.

"The parasites encountered a young man who took care of... Wait... Oh, my Gods! You mean?" The physician exclaimed when he realized something.

"What is it Royal Physician?" The king asked.

"Your majesty, doubt the young man no more, I can confidently say that he's stating the truth!" The physician replied.

"Why did you say so? Continue your story!" The king asked.

"Yes, your majesty! The young man took care of a pond full of Crimson Bubble Blister Guppies. They are the fishes who only live in warm water and people back then doesn't know how to use them. It's not edible and can't be fed to other beasts that's why they ignore it. The kid was once infected by the parasite but when he felt that he was dying, he jumped on the pond and the guppies took care of him by eating the blisters and blowing warm red bubbles on him. A few hours passed, the kid who was on the verge of dying revived and saved humankind by releasing the guppies down the stream." The physician continued the story.

"And that fishes are?"

"Yes, your majesty, the same fishes which cured Armeton!" The Royal Physician confirmed.

"You impressed me, young man! You truly are intelligent!" The king commended Luis as he slowly clapped.

"An intelligent young man indeed!" The queen nodded.

"Thank you for the compliment, your majesty!" Luis bowed towards the throne where the two sat.

"Now that we know your capabilities, would you like to take a special mission that dictates the future of the Kingdom?"
