"Now that we know your capabilities, would you like to take a special mission that dictates the future of the Kingdom?" The queen asked.
"What is the mission, your majesty?" Luis inquired.
"The mission involves the opening of Maix's Realm." The queen replied.
"What does it have to do with Maix's Realm?" Luis asked.
"Nobody knows about this but I guess it's safe to tell you for the sake of the mission. Maix's Realm is the last stand of the fight between the Macromages and the Descendants of Chaos. Maix, one of the 12, sealed all of them inside that realm to settle everything and to avoid any of the Descendant of the Chaos to escape." The queen told.
"But, we also think that some Descendants of Chaos are not sealed inside thus we suspect that they are the enemies that are threatening the peace and safety of the kingdom!" The king added.
"We won't force you to accept the mission because Maix's Realm is a dangerous place full of perils. No one knows what's inside or if some of the Descendants of Chaos is still alive." The queen informed.
"I accept the mission! This involves the death of my foster family, so I'll gladly accept it even if it's perilous!" Luis firmly accepted the mission.
"Your first task is to find a way to enter the realm." The queen instructed.
"Consider it done, your majesty! My famiglia and I won the participation rights of the Divine Prophecy Academy to enter Maix's Realm." Luis informed.
"You have a famiglia? This won't do! They need to know this mission, once you accepted it, they are already involved in this dangerous task!" The queen exclaimed.
"Send a letter to the Divine Prophecy to fetch the part of his famiglia who is going to the realm!" The king ordered.
"Yes, your majesty!" The one who sat at the chair nearest to the throne stood up and left the room.
"I will also take my leave, your majesty! My patient is waiting for me." The Royal Physician bowed.
"I will leave with the Royal Physician, your majesty!" Agron also bowed.
"I understood, take care of your patient!" The king nodded and the two bowed as they left the room.
"What's up with them?" Luis asked Marquis Anthony which sits beside him.
"The Royal Physician is looking close to my brother's wife. She was cursed and her soul was injured when she was ambushed." Anthony replied.
"That's why he asked me for that medicine!" Luis exclaimed when he heard this.
"Let the Royal Descendants enter!" The king exclaimed as royal maids and butlers entered bringing a lot of tables and chairs and aligned all of them evenly as if they are doing this kind of task frequently.
As soon as the royal maids and butlers finished setting everything, they aligned at the entrance of the hall as young people entered the room one by one, from the youngest which is around 10 years old to the oldest which is around 27 years old. All of them sat on the tables and some are looking towards the centermost table where a commoner is sitting together with the Dukes and Marquises.
Some of them scorned the young man which has the same age as them having the privilege to sit with the head of the royal families.
"Probably using a family head to have the privilege."
"I agree, how else could a commoner like him sit with the family heads?"
"Another commoner who is gold-digging one of the heads of the family."
"Only Marquis Anthony is sitting beside him."
"Poor Marquis Anthony, he was used as a stepping stone by a commoner!"
Discussions among the Royal Descendants rang like bees buzzing near a hive.
Three chairs were placed just in front of the throne where the king and queen sat. Three children sat at those chairs, two men and a young lady.
One man looks like he was around 24 or 25, the other looks like he was 19 or 20, and the lady looks like 15. They have the composure of royalty just by the way that they sat and look.
"What do you think of our guest, my dear children?" The king asked.
"He will be tested by the princes now!" One of the descendants whispered.
The man who looked the oldest squinted his eyes as he threw an aura to pressure the young man. Luis looked at him and smiled as he bowed towards the direction of the prince.
"Commendable! Truly marvelous! I, Agnario Crixius Springfield VI, welcome our dear guest!" The oldest prince stated and Luis stood up and greeted back.
"The pleasure is mine, your highness!" Luis replied.
"A decent person, not too proud nor too arrogant! A respectable person indeed! I, Agrius Crux Springfield, greet our guest!" The second prince greeted the young man.
"This humble person accepts your greetings, your highness!" Luis bowed again towards the second prince.
"How about you sweetie? What do you think about our guest?" The queen asked the lady who sat adjacent to her seat.
"The willows show the color of the sunset while the birds flew towards the south." The lady spoke and looked towards Luis.
"The white blanket covered the night as the hungry opened their mouth," Luis replied in return to the lady's words.
"A wise young man! Truly a person deserving the king's attention! I, Agnes Cristine Springfield, greet the royal guest!" The princess stood and made a bow while holding the skirt of her dress.
"I'm grateful to receive compliments from you your highnesses!" Luis bowed and took his seat.
"This is the day that we celebrate my youngest child's day of her birth. Let's all start this banquet!" The king announced as butlers and maids entered the room while holding foods and beverages.
The descendants are unhappy with Luis sitting with the heads of the family.
"Why does that kid accept compliments from the royal family? He doesn't deserve it!" The eldest descendant who is 27 dejectedly whispered.
"I know! He's just a commoner! He's nothing other than us!"
Royal descendants dejected the young man but one, it was a lady who is as young as the princess.
"I'm sorry if I disturb you all, I just want to greet the guest! You're Luis right?" The lady approached Luis.
"Yes, I am! May I know what does the lady want from me?" Luis asked.
"She's my daughter, Luis. Angelica, meet the man I was telling you about!" Anthony introduced them.
"A pleasure to meet you, Ms. Angelica!" Luis bowed to the lady.
"The pleasure is mine!" The lady bowed back.
"And of course, the naive lady will be as naive as the father!" The eldest smirked while looking at the three.
This scorn didn't escape Luis's senses as he looked at them and smiled but the latter only smug and looked away.
"I guess it's better not to talk to me Marquis Anthony, I don't want you to be the scorned person of your younger generations." Luis sadly smiled at the father and daughter.
"Don't mind them! If they have the capabilities, then let's see later!" Marquis Anthony grinned.
Two hours passed when the king struck his cup repeatedly until he caught everyone's attention.
"The princess asked me to hold a competition on her birthday, we will hold a challenge competition where the royal descendants can issue a challenge to anyone. The challenge will be discussed by both parties and whoever won the competition will get the prize!" The king announced.
"The rules are simple if the competition was discussed as a fight, no artifacts are allowed. If it was Alchemy, every ingredient will be provided by the contestants, the same rule will be applied to the materials if the competition is Forgery." The queen informed.
The whole throne room changed as the large table in the middle split into two and placed together to form a very long table where all of the heads of the families are sitting in a straight line as the ground opened up and three stages appeared. One has two furnaces and the other has two cauldrons, and the last was the biggest, which is covered with a barrier.
"Our guest can also participate in the challenges as long as he accepted it!" The king announced again.
Grins and smirks can be seen from the faces of the descendants.
"I can accept Alchemy or Battle challenges only!" Luis informed as he looked at all of them.
"Feeling lofty! As if he is strong enough to defeat us! I-" The eldest stated but he was interfered with by a lady who suddenly appeared in front of Luis.
"Hi, Ms. Angelica!" Luis awkwardly greeted as the lady was too close to him.
"Can I have the privilege to challenge you to an Alchemy battle?" Angelica smiled at him.
"Are you sure?" Luis asked.
"Just a friendly battle, nothing will lose, right? Treat it as we, exchanging lessons, you learn from me, I learn from you!" Angelica smiled.
"Okay, I guess we can do that?" Luis scratched his head as he agreed to the lady's request.
They went to the Alchemy arena as they both walked towards the table that is facing against each other.
"Let the first battle in the Alchemy Arena start!" Marquis Anthony marked the start of the competition.
