Chapter 47 - Pill Production

When the Midnight Sky Pills was formed, an aroma wafted around the air as it bypassed the barriers and spread throughout the headquarters.

It was 6 am when a fragrant aroma wafted throughout the headquarters that woke up all of the Sky Chasers and they followed the trail of the scent until they reached the door to the Alchemy Room and when they opened it, they saw Luis smiling creepily as he holds a case with five pitch-black pills that emitted a rainbow aura.

"A medicine aura! Grade 6 pill!" Ana exclaimed as her eyes sparkled from excitement. "Where did you bought these pills?" She asked.

"Who says I bought these?" Luis answered with a grin as he channeled his energy to his mark and the mark with five small marks appeared and two particular marks have the same color, it's his Mark of the Mage and the Mark of the Alchemist with both having a Cyan color.

"Grade 6 Battle Mage and Alchemist!" Tristan exclaimed as he saw the bright cyan color of the marks. The other three jaw-dropped when they saw his mark as the other members of the Sky Chasers just smiled.

"You know, we've been together from way back then, and we have a lot in common so, let me have a taste of one of these please!" Serion plead.

"Shameless..." Alyssa commented and the other members of the Sky Chasers just nodded in agreement.

"Even though I want to let you all have a taste of it. This is not the time to have a go on it. The Midnight Sky Pill is a type of a Revival Pill unless needed, it won't take effect." Luis explained as he kept the pills in his storage ring.

"Anyway, what you did is a good alarm clock! Everyone woke up because of that!" Alyssa chuckled as she looked at Luis.

"Yeah! And all of you really look good on your bed look!" Luis teased as all of them slowly made their way to the baths to freshen themselves up and start the day.

Luis organized the herbs and cleaned his workspace. After a few minutes, four people came inside the Alchemy Room and approached him.

"We're ready Luis!" Crix greeted with enthusiasm.

"That's good! First things first, do you own yourselves a cauldron?" Luis asked.

"We... We don't own ourselves a cauldron because back when we were at Burning Cauldron, they let us made some potions but only gave us enough energy crystals for our daily expenses." Alex explained as he remembered their experience from their past team.

"Okay, come with me!" Luis gestured them to follow him as he strode out of the room towards the opposite room from them.

They entered the room and inside, it was too hot like they're being cooked just by standing there.

"Oh! Hi bro! What brings you here?" Serion greeted.

"I just want to ask if you have some spare cauldrons that they can use?" Luis asked.

"Oh, we have! Wait." Serion replied as he walked towards Jay and asked something. Jay pointed in a direction and Serion made his way there. He grabbed a hand-size box and made his way in front of Luis.

"Come here!" Serion gestured for them to come as they made their way to a wide table.

Serion channeled his energy to the box as it changed shapes and opened in the middle as a dozen cauldrons appeared and covered the whole table.

"There's a variety of cauldrons that we made during our spare time, it varies from grade 1 to grade 4. If you got a grade 4 cauldron, then you're lucky!" Serion smiled at them.

"Lucky? Why?" Tristan asked.

"You will own what you get. Treat it as our welcome gift to you!" Serion smiled again.

The four circled the table and examined each cauldron on it. They picked the cauldrons that caught their interest.

"Nice picks! None of you got Grade 2 and below Cauldron. 3 got Grade 3 Cauldron and Ana got a Grade 4 Cauldron! Congratulations on getting your cauldrons!" Serion congratulated them.

"This is really ours?" Tristan asked.

"Yup! I guarantee that those cauldrons will be yours now." Luis assured them as he walked out of the room and head back to the Alchemy Room. The four followed him back and went to their respective tables.

"Okay, the first step is to examine each herb that is in front of you. Tell me everything that you can see in them." Luis instructed them and the four nodded and examined the herbs.

After a few minutes, the four finished examining the herbs.

"What did you observed?" Luis asked.

"The herbs are a bit past their peak time and some of the herbs are too premature, overall, they are suitable for concoction," Tristan explained.

"Any more?" Luis asked.

The four shrugged as a sign that there is nothing more that they can add.

"Okay, you are slightly right. Now, can you tell me what concoction can we make from these herbs?" Luis asked again.

"Grade 1 Recovery Potion," Alex answered.

"Nope! The best answer is a Grade 2 Recovery Pill." Luis answered.

"Grade 2 medicine can be made into a pill?" Tristan asked.

"Yup! Okay, from what you observed, you can make a Grade 1 Recovery Potion, but if you consider the characteristics and quality of the herbs, you can make a Grade 2 Recovery Potion, and with slight changes on the concoction method you can make a Grade 2 Recovery Pill." Luis explained as he picked up a purple grass from the herbs.

"If you look at this herb the same way as what you look at them as an ordinary alchemist. You can only see that this herb is premature, right?" Luis showed the purple grass to them as he speaks.

"Now, channel your energies to your eyes and observe the characteristics of this herb from the inside." As Luis instructed them, they activated their energy and channeled them to their eyes as they saw energy inside the same herb as what Luis was holding.

"As you can see, this premature herb has two tinges of energy in it. The pure energy which is abundant and dark energy that was only a handful. What you need to do is to effectively use that pure energy inside the herb and discard the dark energy." Luis explained.

He taught them the method on how to remove the impurities on each herb. He even gave them the simplified version of the Identification Skill which suited their elements and affinities.

"If you observe the energy left on the herbs, they're more abundant than when you concoct them with impurities. Now, if you use the Solidifying Pill technique to make this energy to pill, you can make more than one pill from this energy." Luis instructed.

He showed them the way and as expected, they can't get it on their first try. They tried again and Ana succeeded as she made a batch with 3 pills. The three got it on their next try as they made 3 pills each for a total of 12 pills.

"Try to familiarize yourselves with the technique and attempt it on Grade 3 and so on, don't be afraid to use the herbs here, there's more from where it came from," Luis instructed them as he left the room.

He brought out his Communication Talisman and called a certain person.

"Hello, can we meet?" Luis greeted as he walked out of the headquarters to meet the person he called.

A few hours passed and the four made 12 batches of Grade 2 Recovery Pills and 6 batches of Grade 3 Replenishing Pills with 3 pills on each batch.

A knock rang at the door and Luis entered the room together with an elegant lady.

"Hi, guys! I bet you know her right?" Luis asked them.

"Ms. Ingrid! Hell yeah! She's the owner of the Medicine Plaza, the best selling Pill Shop around!" Alex exclaimed with sparkling eyes.

"I brought her here because she will propose something for you." Luis smiled.

"I heard that you guys can concoct pills, and from what I'm seeing right now, I guess you are," Ingrid stated as she approached their tables and observed the pills.

"Are you willing to sign a contract with me? I will make sure that you will earn the amount you deserve." Ingrid smiled as she took a case from Ana's table and observed the pills inside it.

"What are the conditions?" Tristan asked.

"60-40, you will get the bigger piece of the pie and the rest will go to Medicine Plaza. We will provide the herbs that you need." Ingrid stated as she walked to Crix's table and took a case with Grade 3 Replenishing pills on it.

A look of astonishment surfaced from their faces and it quickly changed into a gloomy expression.

Luis noticed it and he stepped out. "Don't worry guys, we won't hog your income, you decide whether you want to contribute to the famiglia or not, it's your right to decide on your own," Luis assured them as he genuinely smiled at them.

The four looked at each other and nodded as if they made a silent agreement. "Make it 50-40-10, but 10% of our income goes to Sky Chasers Funds," Ana responded and the remaining three nodded in agreement.

"Is that so, okay, sign this contract and it will take effect as soon as we deliver the first batch of the herbs to you! Thanks for your cooperation!" Ingrid smiled sweetly as she handed the contract to the four. After they signed it, she smiled again and walked out of the room.

"Guys, you don't know how much you will earn by signing a contract with her!" Luis grinned at them.

"You mean, you signed a contract with her?" Tristan asked.

"Yes! I did it!" Luis smiled.

"How much did you earned?" Alex asked next.

"Approximately, 10 million energy crystals!"
