During the rest week that they had after the last fight, the whole famiglia was busy doing their stuff.
The team in charge of the investigation went around the whole city and the adjacent towns to gather some information.
When they are not investigating, Luis is visiting the Divine Medicine Pavilion to give some low-grade pills that he made using some excess herbs that he had and to check on Physician Jim from time to time. When they are out investigating, he is gathering some herbs that he might use for concocting and planted them inside his Garden of Consciousness.
He made a total of 125 batches of Midnight Sky Pill for a total of 625 Grade 6 pills. He sold 500 pills for 100,000 energy crystal each and easily gained a total of 50 million energy crystal and put 20 million energy crystal under the Sky Chasers funds which amount to 57 million because the Production Team also sold some of their artifacts and put a portion of it on the funds also with the 10% of the profits from Alchemy team's contract. They can be considered as one of the richest famiglia around the Divine Prophecy, next only to the old famiglias.
The Alchemy team spent their time concocting the pills and do some combat training so that when the worst comes, they can protect themselves.
Alyssa and Julianne do the household chores in their spare time. At first, they can't do this since they are children from prestigious clans, they have servants and maids to do their work, but their pride hit the bottom when they saw that Luis was doing all the household chores way back when they are still sleeping at his house. That's why they asked their servants to teach them how to do the chores. The servants insisted that they can help but they firm themselves to do things on their own.
The others are either training or spending their time at Leisure Room and Baths.
Cyrius is training his concealment and sequential teleportation while gathering information about the destruction of the towns around the Spring Kingdom.
After reading some books in the library, Luis decided to head down and take some food when he saw that most of them are gathering around the bulletin board.
"What's the matter?" Luis asked.
"Look! A kingdom-wide quest!" Jay exclaimed as he was pointing at a poster with a delicate design and a seal of the royalty below. The seal looked like a kingdom above a flower.
'A wide-spread pandemic is currently plaguing the towns of Lugiar, Armeton, and Liesu. We are currently looking for capable Physicians who can help find a cure for this disease.
Rewards: A Meeting with the Royalties and a grant of a Royal Request.'
When Luis saw the rewards, he noticed the words "Royal Request" in a different font.
"What is a Royal Request?" Cyrius asked. Since he came from a not so, privileged family. He didn't know anything about royalty stuff.
"A Royal Request is a form of gratitude that the royal family gives to the person who contributed to the safety of the kingdom. It is a grant that, whoever got these privileges can request anything from the royal family as long as the family can grant it." Alyssa explained.
"So they are rewarding people because this issue concerns the health of the kingdom?" Jay asked.
"Probably, but I think there's something odd. Why are they giving a bountiful reward for just 3 towns? If it's 3 cities, I understand but 3 towns won't get the attention of the royal family." Alyssa thought.
"Why did you think that it's odd if they just want to prevent it from spreading?" Archie asked.
"Last time there was a plague happened, it affected 5 towns but the royal family didn't help them. There's something off here." Alyssa doubted.
"No need to think about it. I'll go there and try my luck!" Luis smiled as he signed the poster of the quest with his insignia.
"Luis, you only have 3 days to complete this quest, or else, you won't be there when the battle against the Prophets come!" Alyssa reminded him.
"I will drop the quest when I can't do this. I will also do this as training for my Physician class." Luis assured as he walked up to his room and prepared the things that he might need, including Old Man Dave's Physician tools that he salvaged from the ruined Eristreas.
Before he left to the nearest affected town. He settled everything that is needed here. From the funds to the stock of the herbs.
When he was about to leave, a loud howl echoed inside the headquarters as a small white wolf appeared in front of Luis.
"Do you want to come with me?" Luis asked as he picked up the wolf.
The wolf didn't respond with any noise but instead, it looked at him with a resolute look as if she won't let him go unless he brings her with him.
Luis smiled and picked up the little wolf pup as he walked in the direction of his destination. The Town of Armeton, the capital of Agriculture.
He manipulated the earth as he quickly traversed the terrain faster than any carriage. In the middle of his journey, he stopped to take a rest as he lay down Luna so the little wolf can do its own thing.
"I already tried the Regenerate skill of Cosmic Art. How do the Dissect skill of the Chaotic Art and the Convert skill of the Synthetic Art works?" Luis pondered as he stood up and placed his hands on the tree as he started channeling his energy. This energy is deep black with a tinge of red in it. It has similar energy from the Demonic creatures, though the dark part of the energy is more abundant than the demonic one.
As he cast the spell, the tree slowly peeled into tiny parts as if it was being cut into its parts. The leaves detached from the tree one by one as the trunk was peeled from the bark to every fiber it has and a few moments later, the tree was nowhere to be found, and instead, various things appeared at its place.
"So technically, this skill will just Dissect things into its minor components." Luis thought as he picked up the fiber and skillfully weaved it into a gauze. "The texture is quite fit to be used as a gauze." He packed up the fiber as he left the other parts of the tree at its place.
As soon as Luis stood up, heard Luna's howl from a distance. He immediately went at the source of her howl and as he got closer to the place, the colder the temperature gets. He saw some signs of frost as he approached the source and it's getting bigger and colder. At the time he got into Luna's place, everything around the wolf is pure white from the frost with some icicles protruding from the ground.
Everything was frozen except the wolf and the plant in front of it. When he saw the plant. A shock emerged from his face.
"Moonglow Lily! It's one of the rarest herbs in Chad's Herbarium!" Luis exclaimed. He took a small bulb of the flower and planted it at the coldest part of his Garden of Consciousness.
"This can't be the product of the Moonglow Lily. Don't tell me you did this Luna?" Luis asked the wolf.
The wolf only walked as a white with a tinge of blue energy slowly gathered at its mouth and it blows an energy blow that covered a part of the forest into a land of ice and snow.
"Lunar Wolves are the blessed creatures of the night, they are the creatures blessed by Mune and Paige, the Goddesses of Moon and Ice." Skyrion appeared out of nowhere and explained everything.
"It is starting to discover its power now. Since the time it made a connection to the moon, it is starting to uncover the powers within it." Skyrion added.
"Made a connection with the moon? When did this happen?" Luis asked as he thinks very hard about when does it take place.
"The moment the Solar Eclipse happened," Skyrion replied simply.
When Luis heard this, he was enlightened about what happened way back then when something's wrong with Luna.
"The skill it made right now is called the Lunar Domain. You didn't notice it but if you look up in the sky, see that the clouds only gathered at this place and if you look at the other part of the forest. You can see that it's so clear that you won't expect rain for a week." Skyrion explained.
Luis looked up and discovered that Skyrion was right. It's so dark and cloudy only at the place where frost was.
"Lunar Wolves are strong and nothing can defeat them unless one attacked them right after they gave birth to a wolf pup. They are transferring some hereditary powers to their child and won't regain them for a week." Skyrion explained.
"Probably the reason why Luna's mom can't fight back those wolves way back then." Luis reminisced about the time when he first met Luna.
"I suggest that you should move now, a lot of strong people are hunting beasts like it around, if you stay longer, you won't only danger the wolf but you as well," Skyrion warned as he returned to his consciousness.
