"You did WHAT?" Lavender yelled as we were eating lunch in the cafeteria. "Shush! There are people here!" I whispered. "I don't care who listens to me! But you can go around somersaulting and stuff! What if someone gets suspicious of your 'skills'?" Lavender said, this time a little less loud than before. "Listen, I'll go to my class and tell everyone that I used to play a little Dodgeball back in my previous school and picked up some tricks, okay?" I quickly came up with an excuse so Lavender could cool down and I could go up to Dan and continue with my normal schedule.
"Weird how half of the entire day is homeroom. Whoever is behind this is a legend." Dan said as we were sitting in our class attending homeroom, with Miss Grace. "Yeah, bet Alex is behind all this and bet she's planning something," I said. "You're betting? How much?" Dan asked excitedly. "I said that metaphorically, you numbnut!" I exclaimed. "That's weird, how'd you know I'm planning something," I heard Alex said. My heart skipped a beat as I quickly turned around. "Guess you have powerful gut feelings to add to your list of powers," Dan said. "So, what were you plotting back at your seat?" I inquired.
"Here, read it. It's all written in here," Alex said as she gave us her book moved back to her seat. "Hmm... I never realized that Alex sits right behind us. Anyway, what's written in that book," Dan quietly said, in case Alex was eavesdropping.
I opened the book and saw... that it was empty. I looked back and saw Alex began to shake her pinky finger. "It's empty," Dan said. " Wow! You caught on quick," I replied. "While you were speaking out the obvious, I looked back and Alex showed me her shaking her pinky finger. I was wondering what the shaking pinky meant. Shaking clearly meant she was grabbing my attention towards the pinky, but what did the pinky mean?" I asked. "Maybe one of the pages is pink in color?" Dan replied.
"A pink page, huh. Wait! What if it isn't a pa-" "Dan! Jay! Keep it down!" Miss Grace scolded as I was about to reveal a theory. "Sorry Ma'am," Dan said and turned towards me and whispered, "So, what were you saying?" "I was saying that what if she isn't talking about a colored page? What if she talking about a position in the book, like the last, since the pinky is the last finger on the hand, she could be talking about the last page of the book." I suggested.
Excited, we swiftly opened the last page and found that she had written something... in pink ink, "Dude, I need to make a superpower list myself, I mean, look at that! Ha! Pink ink! PINK!" Dan yelled, which was a mistake, cause the very next second before I could defend myself and say that checking the last page was my idea, Miss Grace roared, "Dan White, Keep it down or the next place you'll see yourself is in the principal's office!" "Would I not see myself in the corridor first?" Dan said, another mistake, this time it was a big one, cause this just gave him a one-way ticket to the principal's office!
