Chapter 11 - Lips that Moves

After that crash, I collect myself and inhale deeply. Sensing that I'm still alive I just relax and looked at the damage I cause to his car. He should be thankful that it didn't explode. Well, I should be too but it's not that big of a crash, just enough to dent the car really bad.

I waited more than an hour before I hear a siren and it seems like some cars are following it. Well, it's time for another show. I then put my head on the steering then close my eyes. It kinda scares me right now as I can see smoke coming from the engine. Please jerks hurry up.

"Sir is that the car?" I hear a guy ask and a couple of feet are now approaching me.

"Sir stay back, there's smoke coming out from the car, it might be dangerous." I think it's the same guy as before.

"But there's someone in the car!" I know it's one of the jerks but I can't clearly say who. My head hurts because of inhaling too much smoke. I just hope I won't pass out, that'll be bad news. A couple of minutes pass I hear someone opening the door and finally taking me out of that car.

"It's KD!" now that I'm outside I can tell that it's one of the twin's voice.

"Call the ambulance! Damn it!" It's probably Vaughn's voice. After hearing that I feel like I'm being lifted up again "No I'll take her by my car it's probably faster." as emotionless as it sounded it's probably Zeke. "I'll go with you." "Me too." those voices are Thoven and Vaughn's.

"What is she doing on your car?" Vaughn asks Thoven. Silence follows that question until I hear someone from the car sigh. Ugh, no. My head... I think what happened is catching up to me as my consciousness starts to drift away. This is bad. Before my consciousness starts to completely drift away from me the last thing I hear is Thoven's voice saying something about the keys.

---

As I open my eyes, all I could see are the white ceiling. Squinting my eyes as the sun hurt them. It seems like it's already afternoon. I just sigh and decided to hoist my body to sit down. But that move caused my head to hurt like hell. "Ughh, this is too much," I said to myself as I hate how the pain is still in my head. Feeling it subside a little I look around and saw Thoven, Vaughn, and Zeke on a sofa and they're already looking at me. I blush, I don't know why am I embarrassed about?

Maybe it is the idea that they are here or the possibility that they saw me sleeping. KD are you stupid? They brought us here so I'm pretty sure they already saw us sleeping.

Ignoring the annoying voices in my head I bow my head to say that I'm sorry. They just look at me and then there's silence. I guess not all the demon knows what happened because only five of them attended the party. Drowning in this awkward silence I look at my bedside table and saw a glass of water which I gladly drink.

"KD what happened last night?" Thoven was the first to speak. And I don't need to think hard for the response, "I attended your party, drink a couple of I guess white wine, then talk to a couple of people. You talk to me and I told you my cousin will scold me so I got in my car. That's all I could remember. Then I wake up.. in the hospital?"

The three just stare at me assessing if I lie or not. But all I did is avoid their gaze and look around the room feeling uncomfortable. I'll tell you this interesting fact about them. When these three are together they have this professional aura around them like you are nothing to them. As they are the most successful, smartest, and the richest guy in this country. And I bet sooner or later the world. The thing is, I consider myself the swiftest, wisest, and most cunning person I know.

"Do you remember when you lost your key?" with Thoven's words I act like I'm trying to remember that. "Yeah, and you also drop yours right?" I said slowly as I still act like I'm trying to remember. Then thankfully my head hurt and the three are caught off guard. "KD can you tell us what your car model is?" this time I didn't need to act. I hold my head as it still hurts while I'm answering their question, "Tesla Model S p100d, why?"

They all look at each other and Vaugh answer me, "You have the same car as Thoven, haven't you notice that?" I look at them confuse. "I didn't, it's dark and I'm busy searching for my keys. I also don't have time because someone calls me as I give Thoven his keys," I didn't notice that Zeke stands and get me some painkillers. The time I notice him is when he is walking towards me and it made me flinch. Dammit.

Everyone is silent as they just stare at me, probably thinking why I flinch. It's also the reason why Zeke put the pills at the bedside than to give them to me directly. "You don't drink wine, it's Vodka. You may not notice that it's the wrong car and that someone tinker the breaks. I didn't know if you remember but you crashed in Thoven's car. It'll be bad news for our names if this got out from the media--" I cut him, I already know how heartless jerks deals with this kind of situation.

"Don't worry, I don't care. I just want to get out of here. And no I'm not planning to sue or whatever. I don't want anything to do with you guys or your names." I say slowly and my voice just sounded tired. Maybe I really am, I'm so tired and exhausted. Zeke who is talking to me just nod, "We already pay the bills you don't need to worry about it." I scoff on the inside, I don't need their money. But I can't do anything about that because I need their sympathy.

I just look at them as a helpless little girl, "I'm sorry for causing you trouble. And you don't need to pay my bills. It's my mistake with the keys." I look down at my hands crumpling the blanket. Thoven then walks to me closer and touches my cheeks gently. "If it weren't for you I would've been the one in that car and probably dead right now. You save my life." he looks at me and gives me the sweetest and softest smile that I have never seen him give to any of his whore. His eyes staring right through me, I feel like I'm somewhat special but I avert my eyes before I drown in that feeling. I look as calm as possible looking at my hands as they ease in the blankets and sadly say, "Glad I could prevent someone from dying."
