Zu Dai clearly gained a lot of things from his breakthrough, the orb of greed that revolved around his dantain and enlarged it any time he attempted to cultivate. Purer and more powerful Qi, and a deeper understanding of his dantain since he was able to peer inside of it and look around during the bottleneck breakthrough.
But most importantly, he gained something else. It was neither helpful nor was it a bad thing for him. It originated from the center of his spine and extended from that point on to affect his muscles and bodily manners.
The more he attempted to affect it the stronger his desires increased, because of this he simply left this thing he now called 'lust' in its place all together while thinking of ways he might get rid of it.
'I don't know why but I get a strong sense of foreboding,' The more he prodded unlike greed which shocked him with pain and gave him pleasure when he fed it.
This shocked him with pleasure but that was the only problem he had, he feared his inhibitions would begin to lower, The more he prodded it, The more he felt that he should seek ways to subside his lust.
However, he didn't have any ways of knowing what his 'lust' exactly was the same way with 'greed' so he simply left the matter for the time being. He restricted himself to body cultivation and seeing that Jia Li wasn't around for the time being…
'It's time to test a few things out!'
He didn't know if he needed to actually get in a lotus position to body cultivate so he stood up and attempted to body cultivate in the same way. He found that it was rather normal the qi gathered to strengthen his body didn't become purer nor did it become more in volume.
He tried another method, he took a lotus position because that was more comfortable than standing up. He attempted to body cultivate using the qi from his dantain to strengthen his body instead.
He was cautious on his first attempt and only focused his qi to strengthen his thigh, immediately he felt the cold and potent qi attempt to fill the area but was rejected outright with a stinging pain accompanying it.
He didn't understand why and he wasn't going to ask Jia Li currently. He listed that off as a work in progress method instead of an outright failure.
The next attempt he used the qi that gathered outside his body and then brought them to his dantain where he used it as a forge. He gathered the new qi away from his dantain and made it travel up his arm to his hand.
He found that this was successful and was smiling wide but in the next instance the newly formed qi dissipated. He attempted the same process and found it an even quicker process from before he placed it in his palm and the same thing happened.
He frowned at this new development, he pressed his hand to his chin and began to think deeply before his eyes shifted about the room to the cultivation manual on blade aura.
He had fully read the book, well at least the parts he cared about, he skipped the parts that didn't tell him how to cultivate and rather gave him more understanding.
Realizing that he didn't have a deeper understanding on cultivation and could read the book some more, he lazily pulled the covers of his bed to him making the book move with it and on to the floor. He then picked up the book with his separate hand and began reading it.
Within his mind he was just entertaining his curiosity however,
His eyes widened and he found that cultivating was more deeper than he had assumed, cultivating was more imaginative and will based than he had thought instead of simple refinement of the body.
Don't mistake him though, he knew that working out required a set amount of will but to the extent that he sees here which borders on the realm of it never being a possibility.
'To imagine your dantain as a sword? To have a will similar and sharp as a sword?' He read the sentences and found himself thinking back to his cultivations…I've been doing it incorrectly then?
He shook his head and attempted to apply the same principles to body cultivation, the body cultivation manual that he received didn't have parts like these and thus he began saying the sentence and changed its words.
"To imagine your body as a sword."
He immediately took those words to heart, currently he didn't want to test his new knowledge and apply them to his cultivation. He was too focused on his body cultivating.
He took a short break, and then got back to cultivating. He did a simple thought saying that his was a sword like a mantra and began to pour qi from the outside into him. He found that there was no difference to the qi coming in compared to his normal qi.
He sighed and shot all his limbs out like a star and sprawled on the floor, he bent his arms using them as pillows to rest on the ground.
'Disappointing, I guess this is going to be hard.' He had made progress today nevertheless that thought made him slightly happy.
He zoomed the situation out within his head, he had found a way to increase his body momentarily with the qi in the beginning but to make the qi stay there was the problem, he didn't want to have a headache and recognized fully that if he kept on pushing the issue he would continue to make mistakes.
He began to body cultivate with his body still sprawled out on the floor.
