After the intense lovemaking session, the two went to sleep and everything went to 'normal' after that. JIa Li attempted to repeatedly apologize for 'wasting his time' for her own sexual needs and pleasure which Zu Dai quickly rejected and comforted her over it.
Everything continued on as normal and the next day arrived as planned, Zu Dai had done the blade aura cultivation method today he couldn't change the method because of his hurt soul and he also did the body refinement method and he also couldn't change that method because of his hurt soul.
The fact that his soul was hurt he was constantly reminded of and this made him bitter throughout the day, he really wanted to do something like make a new cultivation technique or perhaps develop a martial art that could increase his battle prowess like the martial art Bing Ai was able to do which completely destroyed his second best move.
He did have confidence in his first and best move but he still wasn't completely sure he could pit her move against his, for one her move seemed to have been made by cultivators and thus had the potential to grow in power with her however his moves were made by mortals and had to be edited.
There were some areas of expertise that he thought he had over her but he couldn't verify those areas as of yet, but he thinks that his skills are more personal and fits him greatly and when combined with his other martial arts his combat potential would be greater than hers and that skill of hers.
He occupied his thoughts with these questions just randomly thinking about fights and his own combat potential not increasing at all, he disliked this. Why?
Ever since he was a child he has been doing something, whether it was exercising to get a better physique or creating martial arts so he could protect those he loved. In fact he had created many martial arts as a result and he also had created the martial arts that Bo Jiang currently has.
'I feel incredibly stupid, I'm not improving.' and as a result of him doing so much, the moment he has nothing to do he feels frustrated and laments on the things he could be doing.
However, the door to his room suddenly opened up. He looked up and found Bing Ai looking directly at him. She was accompanied by a girl who slightly hid in the background her hair covering her entire face.
"What?" He looked at Bing Ai and stood up immediately, Bing Ai in response rushed forward and grabbed his hand and looked up with her own cute wide eyes directly into his own.
He felt something cold enter his hand and then he immediately pulled his hand away while taking a step away from Bing Ai, who did a little 'oops' and quickly attempted to amend the situation.
"Oh! I'm sorry It's just that I couldn't believe it. When senior Li told me that you were here and with such a cultivation level I just had to come and check!" She continued taking steps forward toward Zu Dai grabbing his hand once more and wrapping her hands around it.
Looked over her at the shy girl at the entrance who was slightly peeking out from a slight gap in her hair and immediately recognized her as Jia Li! She was so timid and looked so small in this moment that he couldn't believe that it was her!
He looked at Jia Li and then back at Bing Ai, "What are you doing here?"
"Don't be so mean!" She pouted "I've only come over here to take some history lessons with Senior Li!" Zu Dai looked toward Jia Li for an explanation.
Jia Li and his eyes met and she almost yelped out in fear, she looked around quickly before calming down and walking forward placing a hand on Bing Ai's shoulder before speaking maturely and without emotion "Bing Ai and I are childhood friends."
Quick and concise, making Zu Dai unable to spit out another response. He could only sigh in response and take two steps back before plopping his butt on the bed.
He didn't really care that Bing Ai was here but it did startle him slightly, He was unsure if Bing Ai was safe because she is apart of nobility who had some power within the sect however, if she did say something about his power he wouldn't currently be speaking to her but an elder.
This incident with Bing Ai also made Zu Dai quite suspicious of Jia Li, She had close connections with nobility which should lead to the conclusions that she herself is nobility. This leads to the questions of why is she helping him instead of recruiting him into her little clan.
However, he could only accept this for now and think about this later. Currently it was time for a little history lesson that he eagerly wanted to learn about. He wished to know more about the war between the heavenly emperor and heaven.
The lesson began, Bing Ai and Zu Dai sat on their personal pillows which still left him befuddled on to where Bing Ai got her own… maybe she borrowed it from Jia Li? He shrugged and continued on with intently staring at Jia Li urging her to start the little history lesson.
Jia Li nodded with no emotion on her face but with the recognizable twinkle in her eye, it seems that she knew what part of history Zu Dai wanted to learn and she was quite eager to oblige with this topic.
The period that they spoke of was what many people called 'Earth's Lament' the period itself not many people had definitive answers as to what had happened during this period, the only people who could actually tell the full history were the many immortals, deities, demons, and devils that were involved with this time in history.
Most of these people today were currently verdant gods who rarely interacted with those not within the heaven plane/ earth plane or dead now, Leaving much open to the historical records except things recorded by these immortals and the battlefield that left permanent scars on heaven and earth's crust and the alteration to cultivation itself.
This led to many historians and scholars within the cultivation world debating on what actually happened, however one thing was for sure. The death of heaven occurred and the imprisonment of earth which 'coincidentally' led to the heavenly emperor taking the throne.
Jia Li could only provide historical talks about one full story, there was only one full story that could've been told.
