I woke up a bit later than usual, my alarm didn't beep the life out of it on the weekends. I checked the time and it was 7:02. I got up and stretched a bit, I was planning to do my morning workout, shower, Go with Hanji, Sasha, and Levi for breakfast, we would go to the mall to buy a bathing suit since we were going to the beach, and go eat lunch. Then after lunch they would go back to their dorm and do whatever they wanted to do and I would go work at the maid cafe.
I got up and got my usual black sports bra and black leggings with my white sneakers. I went to the bathroom to change. I wasn't planning on doing muscle work since I didn't wanna be sore while working. I was just planning to go on a light jog and come back. I jogged on a unknown path and went to see the world outside of my dorm, I stopped after about 30 minutes of jogging. I had found a lake with cherry blossom trees surrounding it with a bench underneath a tree. It was a beautiful place, I took a break on the grass and laid down. I checked my watch it was 7:42, I decided to head back after about 5 minutes. I got back to dorm at 8:14, I got a black halter crop top with a black skirt that went to around my thighs and a long black cold shoulder jacket. I also put on my mother's old bracelets, her Oriental silver band bracelet. I always treasured it, but sometimes it was a hassle to wear since I don't really wear things with short/no sleeves. I put on my black ankle leather boots and brushed my hair. I put on some lip balm and got my black bag, it was bigger than the ones I usually used. But since I was carrying a bit more things today I was going to use it.I got my phone, wallet, dorm key, towel, water, a jacket, black sandals, and I was ready to go.
I saw Levi doing something on his computer but I wasn't interested on what. He had already packed all his things and was ready to go. I walked out and went over to Hanji and Sasha's dorm. (Please forget that Eren and Armin are in this story, I feel like they won't do anything this entire fanfic ;w;). I knocked on the door gently, and Sasha opened the door. "Mika! You're here and you look fantastic!" Sasha exclaimed, "Thanks" I replied. I walked inside their dorm and Sasha said "I had a idea to go to the beach today and eat crab legs at the restaurant by the ocean! They're rumored to have the best crab legs in the city!" Sasha said while drooling.
Hanji was wearing a white blouse with a khakis jacket and short, blue jeans with red converse. Sasha wore a sweater that was tucked into her long jeans and yellow converse. The sweater was white with lines that were red and blue. Levi wore a white shirt with black jeans.
"Alright are we ready to go?" I asked, "Yes let's go!" exclaimed Sasha. I made sure they had their own bags with everything needed. I got Levi to come out of the dorm , we were stopping by the mall to get bathing suits since we all didn't have one. It was going to be tough since Hanji knew her size bathing suit but me, Sasha, and Levi all didn't. But we made it this far so might as well go to the ocean, we got in my car. I planned to go the maid cafe with my car and Hanji and Sasha would go to their dorm later with an uber. We first went to our usual cafe which was 5 minutes away, I got a iced caramel frappuccino with a bagel and cream cheese, Hanji got a Mcguffin and a iced Americano. Sasha got 10 cream cheese bites and a butter toast with hot mocha latte. We ate peacefully having a few laughs and chatting. We then left for the mall 10 minutes away, we got there and found a good spot to park the car. We went inside the mall and made our way to a promising bathing suit store.
We went inside the store and started viewing the racks, I didn't really care what I wore, as long I felt comfortable in it and it wasn't too flashy. I first needed to know my size, I picked a few that looked the right size, I finally found one that fit me well. It wasn't uncomfortable and it wasn't very flashy either. It was black with strings that secured the suit over the torso and extra fabric below the shoulders to make a cold shoulder look. Sasha picked out a navy blue one-piece, and Hanji chose a white bikini. Levi just got some navy blue, almost black swimming trunks.
We made sure it was the right size and purchased them. We then got a few drinks from Starbucks to bring to the beach. I got a dragonfruit refresher, Sasha got strawberry acai, Hanji got a iced Americano, and Levi got iced honeydew tea. We got in my car again and drove to the beach about 20 minutes away, I quickly parked my car. "Ahhhh! WE'RE AT THE BEACH!" Sasha yelled, "Yes dumbass, isn't that the whole point of the whole trip?" replied Levi. "We're at the motherfawking beach.." I said in shock. It was so big and it went farther than the eye could see. After a bit of shock Hanji and Sasha had a race to see who could get to the changing rooms first, of course Hanji cheated and ran before they got to the count of 0. You could hear Sasha yelling her to stop cheating from a mile away. I chuckled at the sight, it's been a while since we had a break from fighting titans or worrying about some other nonsense. "So, are you happy we're finally at the ocean?" I heard coming from Levi. "Yeah, it's exciting to be here after dreaming about it for so long." I replied. I found some seashells along the way to the changing rooms, I've never seen anything like it. It was hard but more fragile than a rock but it was beautiful. I heard that you could hear the ocean in a twisted looking seashell but I couldn't find any. I decided to go swimming first before anything since that was number one on my list. "see you shrimp" I said quickly then ran over to the changing rooms, I looked down when I was in the changing room. Naked people in a public space was not my thing, I tried to change into my bathing suit as fast as I could, I had trouble tying the bathing suit top on my back though, I finally tied it tightly round my neck. I quickly put my hair in a loose braid and ran out to find Sasha and Hanji waiting for me with Levi. Sasha was wearing her bathing suit with a loose bun, while Hanji was wearing her swimsuit and her usual ponytail. Levi was wearing his swimming trunks and did nothing with his hair and just let it as his usual undercut.
"What took you so damn long?" asked Sasha, "Nothing" I replied. "C'mon let's go!" exclaimed Hanji, she then ran like the wind over to the ocean. I decided to set up a place on the beach first and then go in the water. Sasha and Levi helped me find a good spot to put our stuff, we found a good flat surface and put our towels and such there. Levi decided to stay and look after our stuff, we agreed and Sasha and I ran to the water. It felt so nice, the water chilled my feet in a relaxing way, and the sun felt very nice. Sasha found Hanji who had a hermit crab in her hands, we frantically let it go. We sat down in the water and relaxed for a bit until we decided to play beach volleyball. We needed an even amount of player so I asked Levi to come join us. "Hey Levi, do you wanna join our game of volleyball?", "Tch fine". I didn't expect it to be that easy honestly, I gave a small smile and grabbed his hand. "C'mon let's go" as I led him to Sasha and Hanji who were looking a bit weird at me.
-Levi's POV-
I saw Mikasa, Sasha, and Hanji having fun in the water. Suddenly, Mikasa came up to me and asked if I wanted to play beach volleyball with them. I agreed, I wanted to make shitty glasses pay for making me come here. I saw Mikasa smile, actually smile, it was small but cute, she grabbed my hand and lifted me off my feet. Next thing I know she's leading me to a volleyball playing area. I already slightly hid our things so we didn't need to worry about that.
-Mikasa's POV-
We made it to Hanji and Sasha, apparently Hanji brought a volleyball for a situation like this. I have played volleyball before but never played beach volleyball. I was excited for the new sport, Sasha was teaming with Hanji, while me and Heichou were teamed together. We huddled and thought of a strategy, "Alright so Hanji has an injury on her left foot from the past, you may not see it but her foot is hesitant by the slightest, so if we aim the ball to her left we'll defeat them easily." Levi whispered. I nodded, and we looked up at our opponents.
Hanji had served the ball and I ran to the front and jumped, I hit the ball first and slammed it down. Hanji had caught it and passed it to Sasha. She aimed it far to my right and Levi dove for it and made a rebound, I then ran and hit it once, I hit it harder and jumped, aiming it to to the far left. Hanji didn't make it to the ball by an inch. Just like that we had earned our first victory, Levi then came up to me "Not bad Ackerman" and we high fived eachother. The next few rounds were complicated, Hanji and Levi both knew their stuff while Sasha and I were the noobies. Nevertheless, I caught on quickly and got to about their level, both teams were panting but we both wanted to win. Levi served the ball and passes it to me, I hit it perfectly and hit it with all the power I had. The ball had hit Hanji hand but Hanji was a bit too slow, Sasha had tried to catch it but missed. I shot my arms up in victory, I was sweating and so was everyone else, we decided to end the volleyball there and went back to our spot on the sand. We relaxed for a bit and drank our drinks from before. I didn't exactly like public spaces because most of the time I couldn't tell who or who wasn't looking at me, but the beach was amazing.
"Mikasa! Me and Sasha are gonna go surfing you wanna come with?" asked Hanji. "Oh yeah sure, but I don't really know how to surf" I replied. "Oh Levi said he could do it do he's gonna teach us!" Hanji explained. "I see, well sure why not" I replied, we went to where we could rent surfboards and got some. Levi got in the water and said to follow what he did, he got on the surfboard, his stomach facing the surfboard and I did the same. We practiced basic movements and what we had to do if we fell. We then practiced what he taught us and tried to surf, Sasha fell when the wave hit her board and she didn't hold on enough. Hanji had done pretty well but fell when a wave hit her glasses, luckily she found them and said she would set back on this one. I was next, and I got up as a wave was nearing me, the wave crashed down and I took my chance to surf against the waters, I could see Sasha coming behind me. I kept the board steady and climbed the waves, I soon was flipping through the waters and having fun racing with Sasha. I could hear Hanji cheering me and Sasha on next to Levi. I could see Levi almost grinning? That's the most expression I have ever seen on his face. I heard a scream and looked behind me, Sasha had fell from a strong wave. "Sasha!!" I yelled I dove into the water and tried to look for her. She grabbed my hand but my head was pushed down by the waves, the pressure of the water kept holding us down. I then felt hands on my waist picking both me and Sasha up from the water, soon we were farther away from the waves and alive. "Are you ok Ackerman?! Don't be so reckless like that while surfing." I heard a familiar voice scolding me. "I'm fine..Sasha are you ok?!" I asked shaking her shoulders. Her eyes started to flicker open I sighed a breath of relief, I hugged her "Don't scare me like that!" I exclaimed. "Never knew Mikasa could care so much" she said. Hanji came back with all of our surfboards "Sasha, Mikasa! Are you both okay?!" asked Hanji. I nodded, "That's enough surfing for today" said Hanji. We all headed back to the shore and relaxed for a bit still a bit shaken on what happened. Soon we heard Sasha's stomach grumble, Hanji chuckled "Let's head on to that crab leg place you spoke of Sasha." Hanji said, Sasha nodded eagerly. We got our stuff and walked for about 10 minutes to the crab leg restaurant, luckily we didn't exactly have to change since they had tables outdoors. They ordered two plates of crabs, their food came soon after and Sasha was ecstatic.
We kept cracking crab legs and eating the meat inside, it was soft and squishy and had a nice flavor to it. We were completely full after the meal and paid the cashier, "That was the best crab I have ever had!!" exclaimed Sasha. We all agreed, it was 2:14 p.m and we were pretty worn out, Levi, Hanji, and Sasha decided to head back to the dorms. I then went to the dressing rooms again and changed into my clothes. I then got into my car and drove over to the maid cafe, it was 2:52 when I got there. My shift started at 3:00 so I quickly went to the manager so I could find out what I had to do for this sibling day situation. "Oh hey Mikasa! Alright so all you have to do is wear a different uniform today that I made just for you! Plus, address the customers as onii-chan or shisuta." she explained. "I see, thank you" I replied. "No problem, here's your uniform for the day." she said as she handed me a bag, I took it and walked over to the dressing rooms. I saw Christa and Annie having their break. They were also in a child like looking outfit.
Christa was wearing a white blouse and a pink dress over it that had a large curve on the neck to torso and ended at about the waist line with a few brown bows near the collar.
Annie was wearing a white button down blouse with a blue bow on the collar and a green and blue skirt.
Petra was wearing a baby pink dress and very light blue cropped blouse over it. There was also a pink bead just below the collar, with pink laces across her forearms.
"Hi Mikasa! Good luck out there!" said Christa, "O-oh thanks" I replied. I got to the dressing rooms and got changed into a black and red sailor dress with a cardigan.
I looked in the mirror and though my hair looked a bit too mature for a child. I tied a portion of my hair into a side ponytail and looked at myself again.
I thought it looked childlike, I stepped out of the break room and looked around for customers. I had practiced a but before on how to say onii-chan or shisuta a bit more naturally. I walked up to two ladies and addressed them, "Welcome shisutas! Anything I can get you?" I asked in a cute voice. The ladies giggled a bit and said "Yes me and my friend here would like a plate of strawberry and raspberry macarons. We would also like one moe moe omelet and two glasses of strawberry lemonade.", "Of course shisutas!" I said and left. The day went by faster than I thought and my talking had gotten a bit more natural throughout the day. Just when I thought I would be ok at around 5:00 p.m, someone familiar walked in through the door. I saw Levi and was shocked, I went up to him "O-onii-chan welcome to the cafe, let me get y-you a s-seat!" I said awkwardly, there goes my natural accent. I got him a small table and leaned down "What are you doing here!?" I hissed. "I came to check on you, today is sibling day I see. Plus you owe me for saving your life" he said with a smirk on his face.
"Tch whatever, what would you like onii-chan" I said making sure to spit out "onii-chan" with venom. "A cappuccino please" he replied. I nodded and walked away, annoyed with his behavior. I came back with a steaming hot cappuccino and placed it on his table, "Here you are onii-chan, enjoy it." I said bluntly. I walked away and overheard women saying things about him such as how handsome he was or whatever. I didn't care honestly, but what bothered me was that he ordered one damn cappuccino and sat there looking at me for a fucking hour.
"Hey Mikasa, is that your boyfriend? I can't but help catch him staring at you with those puppy dog eyes." the manager cooed. "W-what?" I turned my head and saw him staring at me, I quickly turned my head back and looked down. "Aww Mikasa you're blushing" she said. "I-I'm not manager" I said and walked away. It was my break and I was in the break room, eating a box of caramel macarons. "Tch puppy dog eyes my ass, there's no puppy dog eyes anything. He just had his boring, dingy face." I muttered, "What was that brat?", I looked up and saw Levi by the door. "Hey! Males aren't allowed back here!" I said shoving him out the door. "Your boss said I was allowed here." he said, "Tch, fine" I replied and walked to seats again. "So, what was it about puppy-dog eyes?" he asked with the same old smirk face. "It was nothing.." I muttered. "Anyway I should get back out there." I said getting up. I was about to leave when I saw a running Sasha and Hanji coming in through the back door, "MIKASA! YOU NEVER TOLD US LEVI KNEW ABOUT YOUR JO-" they yelled. I cut them off by slapping my hands on their loud ass mouths. "Quiet, they're still customers out there!" I hissed, "You never told us Levi knew about you working at a maid cafe!" they whisper yelled. "Tch, well he does, big deal, now be quiet. I need to get back to working." I said before leaving. I left the break room and continued working, 2 minutes later I saw..tch, you have to be kidding me, Hanji, Sasha, and Levi walking in through the door. There was nobody else to get them so I had to be the one to get them a seat, "Welcome back keiteishimai!" (Brother and sisters). I got a table for them and pulled a chair for Sasha, "Mikasa you look so cute!!" exclaimed Hanji. "Are you kidding me!? Why did you guys come in as customers?!" I hissed. "Well we wanted to see what you would be like as a younger sibling." Sasha explained. I glared at them, "What can I get you keiteishimai?" I asked. "A medium cream pie with an iced espresso for me." said Hanji, "I'll take a strawberry tart and a chocolate milkshake." said Sasha. "I'll have vanilla macarons with a cup of balloon flower tea." Levi ordered. "Alright so one medium cream pie, iced expresso, strawberry tart, chocolate milkshake, vanilla macarons, and a cup of balloon flower tea?" I asked repeating their order. They nodded, "Alright your order will be here soon keiteishimai." I said with a small smile and quickly walked away. I came back with their order since Petra was serving a couple elsewhere, I served them their food "Enjoy keiteishimai" I said and walked away. I could see them talking about something I had no interest on. It went on like that for about an hour until they finally decided to leave. It was also the end of my shift anyway, I went to the break room and found Petra talking to Levi. Hanji, Sasha, and Christa were talking to each other. The manager had just said goodbye to everyone and Annie had left early because of an emergency.
*Sigh* I'll be right back guys, I need to change, I then left and came back wearing my original black halter crop top and skirt jacket and boots. I decided to just keep my hair down and left the dressing room.
-Levi's POV-
I was talking to a strawberry blonde haired girl, she started creating small talk with me. She was asking personal questions and I didn't want to answer them but of course she was persistent. It annoyed me, but I didn't want to be rude. She asked if I was single and such questions, I observed her and I knew that she was one of those shy but sweet tree huggers. Mikasa finally came out and we decided to leave and said goodbye to her co-workers.
We made it to the dorms and decided to rest for the night since it was a rather tiring day...
-Petra's POV-
I was talking to a man named Levi, he was really cute and I wanted to ask him if he was free on Saturday so we could go on a date after my shift here. He quicklly shifted his gaze to something else and I followed his eyes, Mikasa? I get that their friends but what's so interesting about her? She's great and all but I mean I don't see anything really special. She's not THAT pretty, she honestly looked a bit emo when I first saw her. I didn't wanna be salty or anything so I just said goodbye to Levi and they left with the rest of their friends.
-Mikasa's POV-
We all made it back to the dorms at around 8:34 p.m, I decided to take a hot shower, drink tea finish some homework that was due soon and rest for the night. I got a black and magenta tank top and shorts. I hit the shower after Levi did, while he was in the shower I had finished about half of my homework. Levi came out and I got my clothes and went to shower, I finished quickly and stepped out of the bathroom. I had to admit, the clothes were a bit small but they were very comfortable for me.
I checked my reminders for next week and saw that next weekend was lolita day at the maid-cafe. Then the next next weekend was wonderland day. My mind brought me back to today when Levi came to the cafe again when I specifically told him not to. Maybe he has a thing for maids..that harasser. I listened to music and finished my homework, it was 9:43 when I finished and I saw Levi had made tea again. I didn't know what type it was so I took a small sip...it had a bit of a spicy, mild but sharp taste to it. I believe it was ginger tea mixed with lemon and mint, I had no complaints about it honestly. I finished my cup of tea and brushed my teeth, I talked to Sasha and Hanji in our group chat for a bit, they were ranting about how fun today was. I was happy that they enjoyed themselves but I was also tired. I decided to go to bed and drifted off to sleep....
