Chapter 4 - Spotlight

You got your room keys and got in. You were sharing the room with one of your team members. Eun Ae has been one of the oldest members in your team. She's been your backbone in every single job possible.

"What does it feel like to be the head of the media team for such a sensational group?" She asked. She always liked to strike up conversations. She genuinely cares for everyone around and that's why she's your assistant director.

"Well, it feels huge. I thought I was in for a couple of shows but then I realized that everything I am going to capture will be shown to millions of people who technically worship those guys. It's terrifying me to do a bad job. I can't." You laughed, "I feel like my life is on the line!"

By the time you settled, took a shower, and napped, everyone arrived at the hotel. Little did you know that this would be the last time to have a proper nap.

The boys are to go to the venue for mic check and rehearsals. You went with them just to get the gist of what they do, and also to take some pictures and record some videos. It was only you and your camera. They said that this is just day one, so no need to go overboard.

You arrived there and got to say hi to everyone. Tee was moving slightly to the music so you took your camera to test it out and set everything.

"Make me look good," he said while dancing.

"I don't think you can look anything other than good, Tae Yoon." You said in this motherly tone. It's like taking pictures of your kids on the first day of school. However, this is your first day, not theirs.

"Awh, Kaesolin," he said acting cute and smiling, "you're encouraging." Tee felt nice. Your words felt sincere to him and it made him more comfortable.

You walked around taking pictures of the guys at random timings. You were just getting acquainted with their angles and faces. Jung Ho and Ji Seon made funny faces at you as they were singing. San Jin came running to photobomb and you got to capture him in a funny pose. You laughed so hard, which attracted them three to you. They checked the photo and laughed.

"Hey! I look fat in this." Ji Seon said. He didn't. It made you sad seeing those guys slip and question themselves when they literally top the world in everything.

"No, you don't." You said and changed the subject quickly. "Look at oppa's face, though." You laughed. San Jin, the oldest, looked at you funny and laughed. "You're a bully, Kaesolin." You looked funny back at him. They all laughed and went back to what they were doing. They moved around like kids and their smiles shone as they dance while singing one of their songs.

You approached Jeon Seok, Nak Yum, and Yeon Moon. The rap-line. They looked like they were writing something on a paper while trying to figure out what to write next.

You took a picture of Yeon Moon while he was rapping with Jeon Seok dancing next to him. The photo felt nice. How Yeon Moon's face was consumed with passion and Jeon Seok with utter joy.

Nak Yum was scrabbling some more things on the paper. He was concentrating and moving his lips. He looked up at you and smiled.

"Hi, Kaesolin!" He said as he was still concentrating. His dimples showed and you found it absolutely cute.

He looked at Yeon Moon and started talking to him and you understood that they were writing a song. 'Those people are beautiful people' you thought to yourself. They just radiate genuineness.

It was 1 am as everything came to an end. You were about to pack your camera and your equipment when Jung Ho came and asked for it.

"You've been taking pictures of us all day," he said shyly, "let me take one of you." You blinked. You were surprised because of his consideration. You knew though that you looked a mess.

"But, I don't look good." You said.

"Noona," he said frustrated, "you've been lifting us up this whole day with your positive words and here you are saying the very same things about yourself." You were surprised that they actually recognized this, that it mattered.

Your eyes were attracted to the mole under his lips. You quickly averted your gaze. 'He's the youngest' you thought to yourself. But something about him just makes you nervous.

"Okay, one picture!"

He seemed to adjust the settings and asked you to go under the spotlight. It felt weird having your pictures taken. It's been a long time since someone cared to do that, let alone put you under the spotlight. He softly touched your chin as a way to adjust it. His index finger brushing your jawline. He smiled in satisfaction and took the picture.

"Ah! Perfect." He showed you the picture. The picture was well lit, your face was looking good under the light. He managed to create a beautiful fade between the light and darkness of the picture. It felt natural and professional. He smiled very proudly.

"God, Jung Ho, this is good." You smiled.

"That's because you're the one being pictured," he said sweetly. It felt a lot like flirting. You had to shake it off, anyways. Maybe that's just you.

"Thank you," you said and got things ready.

Nak Yum called for him. "I have to go now, Noona. If you need anything pass by us." He winked. "See you!" He hurried outside.

You were leaving to the hotel on your own. As you arrived, it was already 2:00 am and you're supposed to wake up early tomorrow for the short vlog episode you're supposed to publish regularly. Your team has been doing everything you planned with them in previous meetings.

Your head kept playing the way Jung Ho touched your face and how his eyes saw you. He took a picture of you in a matter of seconds like he knew your face by heart. You looked back at the photo and giggled. You then took a shower, changed, took your meds and soon they took you by hand to your dreams.
