Chapter 2 - A CHOSEN VESSEL OF CHRIST.

ACTS 10:44-48

1 JOHN 5:1-6

JOHN 15:9-17

God wants to work in us and through us regardless of our age or the circumstances of our lives. We can and should serve him as single or married, with children or without children in every phase and situation of our lives. Living by faith and obeying the leading of the lord is for all believers in all situations. As the topic goes , i would like to give further details about a research i did on the word VESSEL in the Mirriam Webster Dictionary. It says; "A container holding something". You need to understand that as a believer of Christ, this topic is meant for you, this topic is talking about you, you are that vessel, that container Christ has chosen. Example is when you buy a house, you put all your staffs in it because you know and believe the house is capable of holding those staffs. This example is what the topic is talking about. Since you believe in CHRIST, CHRIST also know you are capable of holding anything he will put in you. To go further, let see what (ACTS 10:44-48) is telling us. To summarize it, verse '44' say's, " The holy spirit came on all who heard the message Peter was speaking." The believers were capable of holding the Holy Spirit CHRIST gave them. The word say's BELIEVERS see verse '23', meaning, their lifestyle was fit to hold the Holy Spirit. Brethren, does your lifestyle suit Christ to choose you as a vessel? Just ask yourself. i will not talk much on this scripture but it will be healthy if you study the whole of chapter 10.

You see, the one who chose us is capable of giving us anything to we the vessel according to the level or type of lifestyle we are living in. (JOHN 15:10-17) say's alot but to summarize it, let's here what CHRIST himself is telling us we the vessel. He says " If you keep my commands you will remain in my love, just as i have kept my father's command and remain in his love". CHRIST was a vessel to his father in heaven by keeping or holding unto his commands and that made him remain in his father's love. This scene is Obedience. But if we believers of Christ are willing to take the role of being a vessel then we must be fully prepared of holding and keeping anything CHRIST will give us because that's the only way we can show we love him. So verse number"16" and "17" say's, "I chose you not you who chose me and i appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit-fruit that will last." Brethren, as the scripture say's, if your lifestyle draws people away from Christ then know that you are not that vessel CHRIST has chosen. To conclude here, i would say, if believers are the CHOSEN vessel of CHRIST, then we have to make up our lifestyle capable of holding and keeping his commands so as the HOLY SPIRIT. And know that, Faith and Obedience in CHRIST is the way to keep his salvation staffs. Be wise and live Godly to become a true vessel of CHRIST.
