'I've finally avenged you...' Han Sen thought as he saw the absolutely demolished body of the late Sect Master.

Looking at the Demonic Lotus out of the corner of his eye, he closes his eyes as he calmed down his pounding heart; he knew it was time to let it go.

Although it was an extremely powerful treasure, Han Sen couldn't bare to keep it any longer as it reminded him of his deceased clan and family. And that was besides the fact that the Demonic Lotus was drawing upon their souls to power his immortality.

Although he was deeply saddened, he also felt at peace as he had avenged his family.

After steeling his will, he executed a series of hand seals that caused the golden runes that danced around the surface of the Lotus to light up. Slowly, they arranged themselves in a particular pattern causing a thin, and barely visible firmament to appear. The moment the firmament was brought into existance, ghastly hands reached out trying to escape from the Lotus, causing the firmament to stretch in wicked ways.

As more and more hands came against it, the further the firmament was stressed, causing small tear to appear in the center. The ghastly hands were quick to exploit the tear, as they immediately streached the firmament from opposite sides, causing the tear to grow before eventually the firmament was no more.

Finally faced with no restrictions, the souls that had been sealed away in the Demonic treasure were set free, causing them to cascade out like a disturbed swarm of bats.

The wraith-like souls continued in their frenzy, only gaining a small semblance of calm after observing the dead body of the Sect Master. Han Sen observed them with a hint of sadness under his eyes but later became bewildered when he noticed how they huddled around him, like he was some sort of prey.

Suddenly, thousands of incoherant murmurs sounded from all around, causing Han Sen to groan in pain, from their sheer number. Holding his head tight, he kneeled in pain, his face turning beet red in the process. It almost felt as if his he'd was splitting apart.

Each murmur said something different but they all contained pain in thejr words, the pain they felt during the massacre, the pain he was feeling right now.

Finally when he was at his limit and on the precipice of passing out, the voices came together, collectively, before saying, "thank you". Hearing that, the pain Han Sen felt disappeared in an instant.

Recovering quickly, Han Sen looked up towards the souls which once used to belong to his family and clan members, left with an intense swirl of emotions.

His body seemed to shake as a result of keeping his emotion in check. Fortunately for him, the wraiths had been set free, causing their ghastly bodies to slowly ascend before slowly disintegrating into golden brightly shining sand. The glowing sandy matter, covered the whole of the Nine Dragon Sect, creating a short lived but breathtaking scenery.

Watching the beautiful sight, Han Sen felt at peace, as is a heavy burden had been lifted off his shoulders. Once the scene disappeared, Han Sen turned his attention towards the Demonic Lotus.

Having lost its power source, it slowly reverted back to its original plate form. Before it coild fall to the ground, rabbing Han Sen eaaily caught it. Staring at it for a few seconds, he was just about to proceed when he suddenly sensed something.

His eyes growing wide, he turned back to see five wraiths that stayed behind. Looking at them, his eyes turned watery as his rose and ears became hot. Slowly making his way towards the five wraiths, he managed to stop himself a meter away.

'Could it really be??' He thought as he observed the group in expectation. As if to prove his thoughts, one of the wraiths reached out its hand, slowly creasing his cheek.

'Oh, my sweet boy, you've gone through so much...' The voice was soft and feminine, carrying with it deep sited love.

Tears rolled out uncontrollably, as Han Sen stood there unable to move. The voice belonged to his dear mother, causing him to be overwhelmed by his emotions.

The others also surrounded him, and transmitted their thoughts into his mind.

'Please, don't blame yourself my son, it was the will of the gods, nothing more...' A thick and rugged voice sounded, one belonging to his father.

'Thank you for avenging us brother..' said a calm yet masculine voice, one that belonged to his elder brother.

'Make sure you eat well...' said a thin, childish voice, belonging to his youngest sister.

'And do make some friends, please...' sounded a thing yet caring voice, one that belonged to his younger sister.

The more he heard, the more he was in pain as he would have to part ways with his family for good. His family seeing this were heartbroken before they slowly gave him a big group hug.

Unforunatly though, they were now out of time and they too crumbled into golden fleeting sand.

Han Sen felt pain far worse than what he had experienced earlier, causing him to let out a deafening roar. He roared to the heavens cursing at them for such a cruel fate.
