"Shhhh..." Charles made the singal to quiet down.
At that moment, both Viktor and Charles were tense for the thing that was causing the noises. If it were their rescuers, they felt relieved, but it was a beast of sorts, they had to pray that the beast wouldn't notice them.
*rustle* *rustle*
At that moment, three mermen in blue came out of some of the coral bushes that were nearby. The three of them had helmets and visors so their facial characteristics were hard to be made out, but they had orange, green and black tails.
"Hey! Can you help us please?" The moment Viktor saw those men in blue, he figured out that they were the Sea Knights, but they had more pressing problems than being afraid of them.
"Oh? What's up you two up there?" The man with the green tail spoke first.
"We are stuck, can you help us please?" Viktor said seriously.
"And what do we get out of it? You are just monster snacks, as far as I am concerned." The man with the green tail said in expressionlessly.
"Tsk." Viktor was angry seeing the usual behavior of the Sea Knights. He knew that these guys were a nasty bunch, but seeing them to make a deal for their life, was pretty much crossing the line, but they still had try to get put of this situation, even if they had to rely on guys like these.
"Fine, what do you want?" Viktor asked reluctuntly.
"Just your lives." The man with the green tail said with a grin in his face.
"Then you might as well leave us here to get eaten by the wolves." Viktor said angrily.
"Then so be it. Nice knowing you guys. Hahahahahahahaha." After that man laughed hysterically, he left the area. The mermen with with the orange tail and black tail, were left behind and then the one with the orange tail asked: "Do you wish to help you?"
"We do, but giving us this false hope constantly, it just makes asking for help, completely pointless." Vik said disheartened.
"Don't worry. We are not like that piece of rotten scum. Honestly, the only reason that guy is still a Sea Knight are his skills, but his character is just as good as that of a greedy brigand." The man with the black tail spoke this time.
"Oh, I see. Glad to hear that." Viktor said a bit happily, although he couldn't bring himself to trust them. After that sentence, the two of them decided to untangle Viktor and Charles.
"Ouch! Ouch! Be careful with pulling those branches." Charles said in pain.
"Sorry." The man with the orange tail said apologetically.
After fifteen minutes, both Viktor and Charles got out of the messy situation thanks to the kind Sea Knights.
"Thank you for helping us." Charles thanked the two Sea Knights and bowed as well.
"No need to thank us. It's all in a day of business." The man with the black tail answered back a bit embarassed.
"Take care. And be careful as well. That big crab could still be aroundthe area." Viktor said to the two of them.
"You too as well. Farewell." The man with the orange said at the duo before they split up on their own ways.
Charles and Viktor were swimming for around fifteen minutes towards Crystalia City before Charles was the one to break the silence between the two of them.
"Thank Poseidon that it wasn't a bunch of b*astards. If it was, it wouldn't have ended with being abandoned, knowing those rotten pieces of scum." Charles said angrily.
"Let's not dwell on this topic brother. This night has already been long enough and I want to rest on my bed immidiately." Viktor said in a tired manner before the two of them continued on their way towards Crystalia City.

-Crystalia City, Rohan's house-
It's been already a couple of hours since Soren and Lavenza had fainted from their pent up fatigue and right now, the two of them were fast asleep in the guest room. Meanwhile, Rohan and Matt were sitting on the living room and taking care of Rohan's wounds.
"Tsk. Honestly, this ointment the worst." Rohan said with a painful expression.
"Just grin and bear it Rohan. This is much better that hitting the casket early." Matt said with an annoyed expression.
"Anyways, from what you said before, Soren was accompanying one the grandsons of King Geius and not only that, but he also had the ability to talk to them like they were normal people?" Rohan asked for confirmation.
"More or less. In reality, he said that he didn't want anyone knowing that he was the cause of letting the gold crab escaping. I am a bit irked that we lost a golden ticket, but I'll take this, over the rampage of a King Geis Crab." Matt said with a hint of relief on his face.
"Honestly, I'm kind of suprised that Soren could speak with those two as if it was pretty normal. Do you think he could be a hero or a descendant of them?" Rohan asked seriously.
"Can't say for sure. Although I know the majority of the heroes that have appeared throught history, I can safely say that no one has the combination of Soren's characteristics. Even those who decided to get married, none of them had a spouse that had that combination as well. So genetically, he can assume that he is blood related either with the Arch-Priestess' family or with the Longinus household, since he has the special characteristics of being of those families." Matt explained everything he knew about this.
"So, Soren definitely has the blood of the Longinus or of the Arch-Priestess, but he also has the ability to speak with the shellfish race, another thing is his relationship with Lavenza. It's a bit hard to tell, but it is still pretty obvious that their relationship has lasted just a few days. The problem though, are the circumstances that surronded these two when met each other. One was an egg in an area that was a forbidden zone for monsters. The other was the victim of a vile robbery, that was thrown away in an area that was considered a dead zone. I just feel like there is more than meets the eye, but we can only take his word for the truth. Matt, did you manage to obtain any clues from the abandoned fort?" Rohan conteplated for a bit before he asked.
"Not much. I barely got to check the notebook when you called and in my hurry, I dropped the notebook somewhere in the castle so I don't have it with me. The only thing I managed to get where some of the shell shards from the egg near the castle." Matt explained with a dejected expression.
"That is good. At least I can now check if my susoicion holds water or not. Let's see those shards." Rohan said happily.
"Just a minute... Here." At that moment, Matt took out of the small bag, a medium sized bag that had a few shards of Lavenza's broken eggshell.
At that moment, Rohan examined the the eggshell for a little while before he said:
"That confirms it."
"What confirms it?" Matt asked curiously.
"That sea serpent is not a sea serpent." Rohan said with a serious expression.
"Not a sea serpent? What makes you say that?"
"No sea serpent would be able to survive inside of an egg for 500 years, yet Lavenza did. After all, the eggshell had marks that shows fading of time. So by process of elimination, I can safely say that whatever Lavenza is, she is definitely not a normal creature for sure. I'll have to investigate it for the next couple of days, but at least I have confirmed my suspicions. I don't know if he knows it or not, i don't know if he even is hiding it, but I know for sure that she is not a sea serpent." Rohan explained seriously throughout the entire time.
Matt was silent throughout the entire time and couldn't believe that Soren could be hiding more stuff.
"Will you confront him about this?" Matt asked seriously.
"Eventually, yes. But not this soon. I'll need to investigate for starters. Then I'll talk with him about this." Rohan answered back.
"Let's talk about this at another time. There is no point think about it, now that we have reached this point. We learned whatever we could from the clues we got. Now we just need investigate the rest and then we will see how we deal with this." Matt thought for a bit before he said that.
"Indeed, we need to rest. It has been pretty rough these past few hours and we all need some well-deserved sleep. I need to recuparate as well, since I'm still injured, so for now, take care." After that, Rohan got up and went into his room.
Matt was alone in the room and was still thinking about what he learned. He felt like Soren now could be hiding even more stuff about himself, but he couldn't be sure and he hated this entire situation. After contemplating about this for a bit, he gave on thinking about it and went to rest in his room.
