The moment Soren and Lavenza opened the door, they were suddenly met with an extremely powerful light that completely blinded them for a couple of moments, before they were met with another bizarre sight. For Soren, this layout of the house was exactly the same as his house in his previous world, but for Lavenza, the structure felt completely otherworldy. The layout was a hallway with 2 doors on the right, 1 on the left and a flight of stairs on the end of the hallway.
For now, Soren decided to open the first door on the right, which was supposed to be the living room, but instead, he found a rooom full of pictures and boxes. This confused the two of them but they decided to check them, to see what they were showing. Soren was shocked though. The pictures were definitely his memories, since he could recognise the his own house with his parents, the classrooms that he went through the years, as well as trip to the sea. Some of these were also showing the battle with the Undead Leviathan and his interactions with the merfolk.
"This is a pretty weird room for sure." Soren said nervously.
"Kyuuuu~..." Lavenza was a bit unsettled.
"Let's see the other rooms." Soren said before the two of them left the room.
After the duo left the room, they decided to check the second on the right, which was supposed to be the kitchen. The moment they entered that door, they found all different kinds of food. Soren decided to check the food but, just as he was about to touch it, his hand suddenly went through the food, but he started to taste the food he touched, even though he didn't eat it. Lavenza tried to touch another bit of food, but her tail went through the food again and Soren started tasting the food that Lavenza touched.
"Let's leave for now. We can always check it later." Soren said before the two of them left. After the two of them left the room, Soren also stopped tasting food, even though he didn't eat it.
The next room they checked, was the left room which was supposed to be the guest room. The room itself was filled boxes full of tapes and had a tape player on a small table.
"This room is even weirder than the last. What are they supposed to be?" Soren asked curiously to himself.
After that, Soren decided to pick up a random tape from the box that said: "15-7-20XX 11:57". Once Soren noticed the name of the tape, he remembered that the date itself was that trip to the beach around 4 and a half years ago where he found an underwater cave full of corals and all kinds of small sea creatures. Once he put the tape in the tape player, a young boy's voice came out that was saying:
"Date: 15-7-20XX. Time: Midday, I guess. Today's mission is to explore the seabed for any unusual activities from unknown invaders to protect the sea creatures. This is agent Aquans, ready for action. Also, I need to buy myself an actual recording device to that I don't look like an idiot whenever I'm speaking to my hand. *splash* "
At that moment the tape ended and Soren was completely shocked by the fact that the recording had the embarassing part of his adventure at the time. Lavenza was confused by the young man's voice, since she didn't know who the boy was.
"Kyuu~?"
"I have... no clue anymore." Soren said while feeling slightly emotional.
"Let's check the rest of this house as well." Soren added before they left the tape room. After the duo left the tape room, they made their way towards the second floor. The second floor had a single hallway with 2 doors on the left and right as well. The second floor this time, was much more different for Soren, since for starters, there was one more room on each side of the hallway, as well as no attic.
The first room Soren decided to check this time, was the first door on the left, which was actually his own room on his previous life. The room itself had a bunch of random items, such as pens, wooden boards, sandpaper, a bowl of cream and even plastic rods. There was also a small room in the back, just like Soren remembered as well, with more random items.
"Of all the rooms we have seen, this definitely the most bizarre one." Soren commented on this room.
"Kyuu~." Lavenza nodded as well. After touching the items for a bit, they left the room. The next room to check was the bedroom of Soren's parents. After entering the the second door on the right, another bizarre sight greeted them. The room itself was filled with food but also more random items and this time, a powerful snell was coming out of this room and then closed it immidiately.
"Holy moley. That is one room I don't want to spend any time in." Soren said while covering his nose.
"Kyuu~..." Lavenza also had a similar expression with Soren's.
"Anyways, we have two rooms left." Soren said before going into another room. This time though, he was hesitating for a bit for which room should he enter, but then he remembered that it didn't matter much, since both rooms were unknown, so Soren's choice was the first door on the right.
Once they opened the door, they were met with a pitch black room. Unlike all the other rooms where something could be found, this time there was nothing in this room. Just a pitcg black color that covered the entire room, except the door. Soren then decided to think about the meaning of this room and closed his eyes for a bit to give himself a bit of focus, when all of a sudden, a blue sillouhette appeared in front of him. Soren was suprised and once he opened his eyes, the sillouhette disappeared.
"Lavenza did you see that?" Soren asked.
"Kyuu~?" Lavenza was confused by Soren's sudden actions.
"Just close your eyes for a bit." After Soren said that, he did the same thing as well. The sillouhette appeared in front of him and he noticed that it was also in the same position that Lavenza was.
"Kyuu~!" Lavenza was suprised once she opened her eyes and started to grab his attention. The sillouhette in Soren's closed eyes also started to move wildly before he opened his eyes and saw Lavenza trying to say something to him.
"I know that you saw that sillouhette as well. I think this room is maybe some sort of 6th sense room, or an instict type of room. Because from what I can figure out of the other rooms, they are definitely linked with senses. The picture room is sight, the tape room is sound, the room with only food is taste, the room with the food and the weird garbage is smell and the room with the random items is touch. It took a bit of time to figure it out, but once this room appeared, I was sure of it since the 6th sense is like an instict for everyone. It is a feeling that can't be recreated with items. Only situations." Soren explained fully to Lavenza.
"Kyuu~ Kyuu~?" Lavenza nodded but still was still a bit confused. Then Soren understood and said:
"The last room has to be memory, considering the way the mind is compromised. The senses would be the one half, the memory would be the other. Although there are more parts in the brain of a person, the idea is that senses allow us to recieve and provide information from and to the actual world, while memory is the storage of everything that a person experiences. And judging by the clues I have picked up by the sense rooms, I might already know whose merory is supposed to be."
"Kyuu~!?" Lavenza was suprised.
"For now let's check it out to be sure." Soren then added before the two left the black room. Once they left the room, the door itself suddenly closed itself before it dissapeared into a white light. They also saw that all the other rooms that they had entered, as well as the staircase, werw gone as well.
"Guess there is no going back now." Soren said a bit nervously after seeing all the rooms he had been inside of, were completely gone. After that, he steeled his heart and then moved forward, towards the last room available.
Once the duo entered the last room, the room itself only had a white table and a blue book.
"No title." Soren said after picking it up and examining its cover. The moment he opened the inside of the book, he saw that the majority of this book was completely blank, lest for a couple of pages at the start.
"If you are reading this right now, this means that you managed to pick up my message. There is not a lot of time so I will be quick on my explanations. For starters, the location you were brought to, this is your information center in the center of your mind. You should have already theorised that the rooms that you entered were the six sense sectors of your mind. Normally, the last room would have been your memory room, but due to the fact that the remaining time in this place is limited and the fact that you are almost out of it, I couldn't take the risk of having your soul going back into your body through the mind. Now, the reason you were brought here. Actually, this wasn't the place that you were supposed to be brought. You were actualky supposed to come to my resting area, but due to a small miscalculation on my part, you were brought instead into the center of your mind. Finally, the reason I decided to bring you in the first place. The reason for that would be to provide you some explainations about your current situation, as well as to explain your current mission. Unfortunately, by the time you start reading this sentence, your time should be up as well, so I will say one final thing before you leave. Go to the ruins of Pallas City, a statue of me should be there, just pray for my name and then we shall talk, I hope we can speak at least once before the year ends. In the moment that Soren read aloud that last sentence, both Soren and Lavenza were hit with a sudden wave of dizziness, before everything turned into black and then fell on the ground.
