"What are we doing here?" He asked in amazement. Looking at the colorful bright lights scattered all over the place, with excited people gathering around, kids laughing and running around, and loud music in the background.
"You said to show you what I love about this town. This is one of my favorites," unfastening my seatbelt as I ready to exit the truck.
I could almost remember the memories I had with my brother and friends as we enjoyed the activities in this place. I was so excited about my plan that I even forgot about Nathan.
He grabbed my hands before I could even open the door. "No, we're not going in there." He warned with a large frown on his face.
"Why not?" She looked at him curiously, waiting for an explanation, not understanding his blatant refusal to join her.
"First, we're too old to go in a carnival." When I looked at him funnily, he quickly amended his words. "Ok, I guess I am and you're not."
