Finally, we stopped in front of a place that I did not recognize at all. It was a new house, based on the fresh paints and the newly built front porch. The grass at the front lawn was newly trimmed.
I wished I could see it one more time. Maybe it could give me an idea of what I was missing, but there was no resemblance at all to what it used to be.
"What are we doing here?" Again, with the same question. He asked with confusion on his face, while he turned the engine off. This was once my most favorite of them all. The place I loved to be and dreamed of growing old with.
"Just a minute, I just had to do something." I unfastened my seatbelt and got out of the truck. I stood just outside, staring at the front lawn and towards the newly constructed house. The house was bigger and the colors were entirely different.
