Ava looked at the man in front of her with slight annoyance. 'I really need a shower now.' Ava thought since she was sweaty and covering in dirty.
"So what are you going to do now? There is some time till dinner? Are you going to finally join me and the others for a game?"
"No. I have something else to do."
"Alright then, if you are still free you know where we will be."
"Right, see you at dinner Bailey."
"The least you can do is call me by my name, we've know each other for 4 years."
Ava waved her hands dismissively as she made her way to her room and grabbed things for a shower. 'No one should be in the shower now so it'll be safe to go in and wash off now.' Ava muttered before she left her room with a small bag of toiletries in hand She walked over to the shower room and placed a maintenance sign on the door to make sure she would not be disturbed while she was showering before closing the door behind her. What she didn't know was that the sign fell off the door almost right away.
She went into the side room with a bathtub and handheld showerhead. It was separate from the rest of the room with a single stall door. There were a small bench and hooks to hang her towel on. She filled the tub and quickly soaked in the tub for a few moments relaxing the ache in her body from the hard work she did today. After soaking in the bath for a few minutes cleaning off the dirt and sweat from her body she got up and used the hand-held shower and begun to wash her long blue hair.
As she washed her hair and body, she began to hum a tune that she remembered from her original world. She would occasionally sing a few words in the language the song was in (English) which was not this countries mother tongue.
While Avalon was in the washroom cleaning herself up another person also arrived to take a shower as well, just like Avalon did. They entered the shower room as there was no sign on the door, and the door was unlocked. He could hear someone in the separate tub room, he turned on one of the showers before he removed his clothing before walking over to one of the showers.
After a few minutes, Avalon finished washing and dried herself slightly and changed into her second set of clothing after wrapping her chest tightly. She wore the issued t-shirt since it was lighter what the outfit she was wearing earlier. She hands the towel rest on top of her head for a moment pat drying it before putting it in her bag with her things.
Her long blue hair turned black before becoming short, making herself look a little more like a boy. She held her shoes in hand as she wore a pair of sandals. She was humming to herself lightly as she stepped out of the separate tub room. She noticed the was room and a little more steamy than it was before, and just thought it was because she took a hot shower.
As she walked here ears picked up the sound of running water. She turned towards the direction of the sound to see a man with black hair standing under the water, it looked as if steam was coming off him. But what caught Avalon's attention more was his toned body which caused her breathing to hitch slightly and my face becomes flushed. The man noticed the footsteps stopped but didn't hear the sound of the door open. So he turned around and Ava turned her head to hide her blush since she was currently Roan.
"So it was you 2Lt Limen."
Avalon caught a glance at the man for a moment and realized who she just ran into. "S-sir I didn't expect to run into you here." Roan replied with a slight stutter. Lukas stepped from the and went and grabbed his towel which he wrapped around his waist. 'Get it together you damn idiot! Even if he's a looker! Get it together!' Avalon cursed at herself trying to calm down.
"Did you see?"
"I-I didn't see anything strange." Roan exclaimed having trouble from freaking out at the handsome man that was in front of her. 'Damn it! I died a virgin in my last life, and now while acting like a man I have run into a really hot guy who might I add is only in a towel! Ah! Look at how toned he is, his black hair, and silver eyes, my ideal man! Fuck! Why do the gods hate me! Come on, I got to get out of here before my ability goes out of control.' Avalon exclaimed. She moved quickly to try and escape from here when she slipped dropping her things and falling forward into Lukas.
Everything all happened so fast that Lukas didn't really think as he caught Avalon grabbing her arms with his bare hands as her face landed on his chest. Avalon's face turned bright red, Lukas thought it was due to embarrassment, but that wasn't really the case (she was blushing). Avalon got her footing. "I'm sorry sir. I didn't mean to do that." Roan exclaimed.
"Are you alright?" Lukas asked with an odd tone.
"Yes… I'm fine. I'm going to go now. I'm sorry about that sir." Roan replied before removing her arms from Lukas's grasps, then grabbing her things and racing out of the shower room. She raced from the shower room and straight to her room closing the door behind her. She put her hand on her chest from her slightly racing heart and her bright red face trying to calm herself down a little.
Avalon had left Lukas who was completely shocked and surprised at what just happened while at the same time a little confused. He placed his hand on the metal bench for a moment and a slight trail of stream arose. He quickly removed his hand to see a light impression of his hand on the bench. 'It's not gone. So then what just happened?'
After Avalon calm down she left her room once more and begun to walk around the camp. Everyone in the unit was doing their own thing it was just like another day, She made her way over to the captain's bunk and noticed the hood of the captain's car open. She moved around as she looked at the car looking for one person in particular. "Ah, 2Lt Liman come to speak to the captain?" Lt Antonio (Tor) Padilla exclaimed as he moved out from behind the car.
"No, I was just taking a walk that's all. Did the captain ask you to do work on his car?"
"Yeah the thing wouldn't start he said so I'm checking it over though I think I know what's wrong."
"No surprise there Padilla you're an exceptional mechanic."
"Do go telling our guest that."
"Pff, yeah yeah. I remember at the end of the year your heading back home to open your garage that you are taking over from your father yes, the one which the young miss Kanze is funding yes?"
"Oh yeah. I told you how I and the young miss are friends from when were younger."
"Yes, the two of you lived in the same neighbourhood. Honestly Roan you remind me a lot of the young miss."
"That so."
"Yeah. Sadly I don't know when I'll get to see her again. Last I heard she had a bad fight with some relatives."
"Aaah well Lt Padilla I'm sure you'll see her one day."
"Well, I hope so."
Antonio (Tor) Padilla was in good shape and smart, using the military to be able to go through university to become an engineer, he takes good care of himself unlike most of the others in the 13th unit. He likely wasn't asked to take part in the selection process since he was almost done with the mandatory service he was doing after using the government to get through university. His skills mainly consist of machines and are great at martial arts.
He is one of Avalon's childhood friends and they are very close to one another. He was only sent to the 13th unit due to him using the military to go to school. He is very close to Avalon and is more aware of things in her life than her immediate family is. The only reason he was not made aware of the current situation was due to the terms of the deal.
The two of them continued talking for a bit and Ava glanced over and noticed the car battery sitting on the ground. "Changing out the car battery?"
"Yeah, it's acting a little odd. I'm going to have someone dispose of it right away."
"Really? That weird why?"
"It's dangerous."
Ava looked over at Antonio with slight confusion. 'How exactly is it dangerous? I know it is a battery and all but…' Ava thought but trailed off when she began to hear a hissing noise. She turned her head quickly over to find it was coming from the battery and found it has started to deform. "Tor look out!" Ava hissed pulling him behind her before the battery burst and sprayed battery acid all around, some of which landing directly on Ava's skin.
"Are you alright?! You've just been sprayed by battery acid!"
"I'm alright, Tor just calm down and take a breath."
"Tor?! How do you-?"
Before he could finish he realized something. "No way…" he gasped looking at Ava in surprise.
"I know, shh I'll explain later. People are coming this way." Ava replied in a low voice which he nodded in reply. Not long after she told him people came racing over as the sound of the car battery exploding was loud.
"Stop! Don't come any closer!" Antonio hissed looking at the first people that arrived.
"Lt Padilla what happened?!"
"The captain's car battery just exploded. Go get all the bases right now we need to neutralize the sulphuric acid immediately!" Antonio exclaimed with sharp eyes. Ava stood behind Antonio, sulphuric acid dripping down her fingers.
"Did you get hit by anything?"
"No, we are alright just go get some basic solution right away." Antonio replied glancing at Ava who was quite relaxed despite her being covered in sulphuric acid. However, the acid was not burning her at all.
Antonio kept close to Ava as they made their way away from the car and exploded battery. The two of them walk side by side and passed Lukas and Maj McCarty. Lukas could smell the distinct scent of sulphuric acid from Roan as they passed and notice that 'he' was wet, then noticed as a drop of 'water' fell from the tip of 'his' finger and hit 'his' clothing a small hole was made. 'He's covered in sulphuric acid, what the hell?' Lukas questioned but before he could say anything Antonio and Roan turned the corner and disappeared.
