Nadia left the bathroom with a towel around her body and another wrapped around her hair. She sat down on her bed cross legged as she grabbed the remote for that TV and a controller for the connected console. She quickly started things up before loading up the game [Destined Lovers]. She could help but snort at the name knowing the true context of the game. The name itself was a marketing tactic targeting those looking for romance, then there was the art style of that game making it like and tome game. The game itself was not an extremely popular game but in truth popularity wasn't the goal of the game in the first place.
She looked at the start screen of a moment, the person that introduced her to this game was none other than her secretary who she had an amicable relationship with. The two had to be together a lot so it was kind of a forced relationship since they had to spend so much time together. But after about 6 months things acme more natural between them and they would occasionally talk about their personal life. Eventually the secretary brought up romance visual novels, and otome games which brought Nadia the lonely game lover in. Not too long before the business trip Nadia learned from her secretary about [Destined Lovers] and how the 2nd campaign of the game has bee classified by players as unbeatable. In a sense this that partially in how all of the mess she was currently in started. Though Nadia couldn't say she regretted it.
Letting out a slight sigh Nadia clicked to start a new game file with the initial heroine of what's called the 1st campaign, the sky blue hair and dull silver eyed girl that was 18 years old at the start Crystal Espinoza. Crystal was the young lady of the Espinoza house that had gone missing 10 years prior to the games beginning. She was warmly welcomed in the the house by servants and nobles alike.
This was in contrast to the 1st campaigns main villainess the character that people call the 'false' lady of the Espinoza house, Evangeline Espinoza, disliked by many IRL and in game due to her 'bad attitude, arrogance, bad manners, and (apparent) wickedness.' This girl was none other than the body Nadia had taken over. Evangeline noted for her midnight blue hair and white silver eyes who was the same age as Crystal.
When Nadia was playing the game before she didn't really care for what's going on, neither liking or disliking any character as she speed through the game. There was a few notable things that Nadia actually took true note on sure but in the end she didn't care for the character like people tended to do playing this type of game. What she was interested in was the apparently unbeatable 2nd campaign. Nadia enjoys a challenge and it was the main reason that she was playing the game. Though she couldn't really say the same for her friend/secretary that was a little more vocal about her option on the game, saying thinks like the villainess (Eva) was pure evil and such for her treatment of the heroine and such.
When playing the game on the 1st campaign playing as Crystal, all capture targets affection level started as a positive number ranging from 5% - 25%, and gaining affection was not all to difficult either the only thing that made the 1st campaign long other than the multiple routes was that it was a little long.
As Nadia played through the game again actually paying attention to what was going on the game this time even to the most minute thing, till reaching the point go route devision there was a few things that Nadia noticed. One was that Crystal was very… protective of her necklace that she would call a key. Two in many of the 'confrontations' with the villainess Crystal was actually the initial aggressor during these moments. It was only much later in the plot of the game that Evangeline actually started to attack (or really retaliate) Crystal. However for the most part especially at the start Crystal would 'nobly' insult Evangeline, which would cause her reaction, then Crystal would act as the victim once someone arrived.
'The innocent heroine isn't as innocent as she is portrayed. For the most part the lines appear fairly innocent however in actuality they were attacks, slander, some down right threats, all masked as sweet words. What a two-faced bitch she turned everyone even more against Eva than they already where making her completely alone. That idiot just wouldn't give up as she had nothing else to live for. Too bad this time Crystal will have to deal with me.' Nadia thought smirking, getting up and heading over to get changed. After changing she sat back down on the bed with her hair brush in hand, she unwrapped her hair and began to brush it as she looked mindlessly at the TV.
'Their is a lot you wouldn't know about if you only played the game, and if you only played the 1st campaign you would only think of Eva as the evil villainess. The verbal nuances that are going on in this game is not something that people typically would know. It's pleasantly deceptive.' She put the brush down and exited out of the play through she was using and used her completely file to gain access to the 2nd campaign. The was something she wanted to check.
Nadia started up the 2nd campaign and noticed there was no real opening to it. She wanted to check a gut feeling she had so such a thing did bother her rather it was just odd. With no wait time she was able to open up the status menu right away. Since she hadn't meet any of the capture targets in the game yet it was blacked out however it did show the affection rating and world rate. All of the status was either a negative number or 0% the lowest was -30%. 'This is likely to be the actual numerical assumption of the capture targets and the people affection or like towards Eva.' She muttered. Nadia couldn't help but recall a line that the original Evangeline wrote, [Since I was adopted by the ducal couple, nobles didn't really like me since they think I'm of common blood. Then also since I was adopted not long after their initial daughter Crystal disappeared I gained even more distain and not just those from noble society but those of the house and the dukedom. Hermione treats me okay and nice but now that I've returned it was probably an act or might not be but its hard to say. In that house the only person that was truly on my side was Duchess Espinoza.]
Nadia learned back placing that brush on the bed side table as she began to analysis what she knew and what she had learned from getting to play the game again.
'Though not often shown the world has magic just like mine. However those that can use magic are currently hunted down and prosecuted against, which is due to the Niukyu since those with magic are resistant to their powers they wished to get rid of a potential obstacle. It's also the reason for what happened to Rivera. Evangeline is a powerful Sorcerer capable of all kinds of magic including old magic, as she is royalty of the currently mythical magic kingdom Rivera. This was something not shown or expressed in the game. According to the council or at least they are implying that Crystal has ties too Niukyu.
'For some reason Eva never used her magic possibly due to fear. There is something about Crystal's necklace that I'm sure is nothing good. Crystal is manipulative so it's best to avoid and ignore her comment as nothing good will happened with an early confrontation. It is best to avoid the capture targets as most of them dislike or despise Eva, or are just plain dangerous. Last but not least Eva, can trust no one in the Espinoza household neither family or those employed by the house.'
