As Ramona was debating on the eating habits of children, a supposedly dead child was realizing she was not-so-dead.
Vivian could not hear.
She could not hear.
She could not feel.
... but unfortunately, she could see.
"Where in the ham sandwich am I?" Vivian thought sluggishly. Her mind was still foggy from her former post-mortem state.
"No that doesn't matter. What matters is that I'm alive and I'll do whatever it takes to stay that way. No. Matter. The. Cost." She smiled. (Rather, she would have if she could)
Vivian's cynical thought process was interrupted by a small ringing in her ears that gradually grew to a roar and a tingling in her limbs. Vivian figured that her body was slowly regaining its functions.
{Thirty VERY uncomfy minutes later!}
Vivian sat up with a groan and rubbed her cold arms in an attempt to bring some warmth back into them. She looked around the room and began to compartmentalize her situation and the events leading up to it.
"The last thing I remember was lying in the questionably pungent puddle and then that TitsMcgee lady started spewing nonsense... wait a second- she totally kidnapped me."
"I totally kidnapped you~!" Replied a cheery, albeit slurred, voice.
Vivian quickly shifted her attention to the bronze-skinned woman speaking to her. Now that she had a good chance to look at her, she quickly assessed for any danger.
'White pixie cut hair: easy maintenance for an apparently lazy woman.'
'Athletic physique: potential threat.'
'Leans heavily on right leg: further assessment necessary.'
'Black tank top: no weapons visible.'
'Stained cargo pants: potential weapon hiding.'
'Pink bunny slippers: interesting fashion choice but no threat.'
'Threat level: low.'
"Hey kid, it's ten units to look and fifteen for pictures" The woman chuckled.
A blush crept up the young girl's neck.
"Um, TitsM- I mean- ma'am, where exactly am I?" Vivian choked out.
"I brought you to my house. Sparkle tart and water?" She offered.
"Yes please," Vivian greedily grabbed the food and water, "also second question is why am I here?"
"You're gonna be my new student- only if you want to of course. I'm not THAT crazy, yet." The woman replied with an exaggerated eye roll.
"Okay sounds good, but a student of what?"
"Of magic~"
*PLBTH!
Vivian spewed out water.
"Magic?! I thought only nobles and people like that could learn magic?"
"Well I guess you could list me under 'people like that' haha." She wiped her face of the water-turned-projectiles.
...
"Ma'am, when can I start?"
