Cynthia looks on as he places Christa in the back seat of his van and drives away.
"I hope you are satisfied now, Cynthia? Your stubbornness has driven him out of the house, and the child is hurt all because you didn't listen.
I told you to leave them alone, I told you he did not want us to come to his room. But no, you won't listen, now look what your meddling has caused?"
Hearing the loud speaking, Mrs. Marva came out, "Sir what is going on?"
"I am going to the hospital Cynthia, Thomas must be out of his mind worrying,"
"Will somebody please tell me exactly what is going on for God's sake?" Mrs. Marva asks a bit loudly.
When Lester spoke, his voice was a bit shaky. "Aunty, Mom push Thomas's door and Christa was standing behind it and she fell, it seems as though her wrist is damaged."
Lester only heard a soft cry, and Mrs. Marva held on to the banister. "Oh God, I only hope the baby is not hurt."
"Christa is pregnant?" Cynthia asks.
"Ma'am, if you were paying attention you would have seen the signs, my young Sir must be broken and going out of his mind worrying."
But his mother shouted, "Stop it, that baby is not Thomas's child."
"But Ma'am, why do you say such a thing like that? My Mistress is only about ten weeks pregnant."
"What?" Cynthia recalled Aliza's words immediately, 'Then if what Mrs. Marva is saying is true, then this could be Thomas's baby. Oh God, no this can't be happening, I was hoping Thomas will come to his senses.'
"Ma'am, she has been hiding it from him and the family, but I notice a few times she was vomiting and she cannot bear the aroma of certain food I cook.
So she mostly prepares pasta and fries chicken anything like a bean, stew, or curry she leaves the house."
"Well, Mrs. Marva you don't have to worry about that any longer. You could cook anything now, according to what Tom said, they are both leaving the house for good."
Feeling the burning on his face, "What did you do that for?" Lester asked.
"That is for speaking out of turn, and about things that don't concern you."
"I was just repeating what Tom said, and you lash me, that's not fair."
"Then if that is the case young man, and if there is any truth to what you have repeated. I am going to pack my bag."
"Mrs. Marva there's no need for that, Thomas is not leaving the house, He was just angry when he said that," Cynthia replies.
"Mom, you keep underestimating Tom since he got married," Massy reply.
"I know my Son and I am telling you he will return home. I don't know what has happened to him, but right now he is just angry but I am not worried."
"Mom, you were wrong thinking that Tom was lying about Christa sleeping. I hope you see how angry Dad was with you.
I won't want to see both of you quarreling, so please leave them alone. Marrying Christa, was his choice, and from what I notice he is taking her side.
So if you continue then I am worried because you are going to lose Tom, and be the one getting hurt."
"Shut your mouth, Carla, I don't want to hear such nonsense, he is my son."
"You think I am talking nonsense, but the bible says for that purpose shall a man leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife. And for your information, Tom is doing exactly what God's word said.
And you know another thing Mom, you were wrong and I support Dad and Tom."
"Why don't you go to your house and attend to your business and leave me to fix mine?"
"Thanks, Mom, I will do that, but I know without a doubt you are heading in the wrong direction." Grabbing her bag and keys, Carla left the four of them.
"Mrs. Marva, where are you going?"
"I am going to bed Ma'am, good night." Mrs. Marva ponders deep within then whispers as she steps into her room. "I can't understand why the Madam is so against the child.
While she tries her best to please them all. But this wickedness all started with Jerome. Now the young Sir is hurting." Packing her bag just in case he doesn't reconsider.

Sitting outside the theater anxiously waiting for the doctors to come out. Recalling the way she was screaming when she heard that he wasn't allowed to go in with her.
'Oh Lord, I had promised her that I won't leave her side, but this waiting is not acceptable.' Standing up Thomas ponders in his heart.
'I have never seen the blue in her eyes dilated to a paler blue, but that could only be because of the pain and the crying.
And another thing, I must get us some clothes if I am going to my apartment, but I have to hear what the doctor says first. Then I will take the next step.'
Thomas knew she will be under anesthetic so she won't know anything. Looking through the glass door, Thomas was becoming patient less. 'I can't believe a simple wrist injury could take so long?'
With his hand on his face shielding the glare through the door, only to see them rubbing a liquid on her stomach.
Then passed a small machine on her stomach. "What the hell is going on?" Thomas was about to push open the door when a trolley was pushed into the theater.
With the door wide open, Thomas stood looking at what they were doing, seeing the baby moving.
'Oh my Lord, why didn't I think of that?" Covering his mouth, feeling his heart swelling with love for his unborn baby.
Stepping back as his knee felt shaky, Thomas sits once again, whispering, "I am going to have a son, Oh my God, what if I didn't marry her, and she had left as she so wanted to do? Father, I would never have known about my firstborn."
Thomas checked his time seeing it was already ninety minutes since he saw what they did before they started to attend to her hand, knowing they should finish any time now.
The tears were flowing, only this time it was tears of joy. Embracing that thought holding his chest wanting to share that news but he sit and wait patiently.
Feeling the embrace, Thomas knew immediately it was his Dad. Wanting so desperately to share the good news but he knew he could not.
They are not ready to accept Christa, so they might think the story she told them is true.
"Thanks, for coming Dad, she should be out at any moment, but I need a strong cup of coffee."
"You stay here, and I will get it for you."
'Expecting the Doctor to give the news, and if Dad is here then everyone will get to know.'
It was not long after dad went for the coffee the theater door open. Seeing they were pushing her out, knowing she must be still under the anesthetic.
Patiently waiting to hear what the Doctor had to say, but to his surprise, the doctor said nothing about the baby.
