Hugo watched at their baffled face and sighed, "What a bunch of morons, *disappointed* You think he is someone working under your King? No, he works under Prince Ronald...!"
After listening to Hugo's words, they got even more confused. what does that mean? Ain't that the same thing? ... and what does it have to do with him betraying the Kingdom?
He is still working under the monarch as the rule says, besides, why would Amzi work under Prince? That's not even beneficial for him in any way... As everyone in his troop knows, he always wanted to get promoted into 'Kings' warrior' and for that, he needs to be one of the most devoted and faithful warriors serving only King himself.

Amzi got up on his knees again and spitted blood from his mouth. It may look like to everyone that Hugo is simply kicking Amzi's face, but a mere kick is nothing for Amzi to even budge a little. Hugo was kicking Amzi with his Magic reinforced kick and only after that he was able to make blood on his cheeks. He asked, what can he do about it? even if he found out he is working under Prince Ronald, can that be an excuse for betraying them?
"Shut up scumbag! *kick* Don't act like you have forgotten everything and know nothing about what I'm saying. Even if you have forgotten, I will make you remember what you have done." *kicking again* Hugo got furious after listening to Amzi's words, as it sounds like he is mocking him while still showing his arrogant face.
Finally, a Swordsman cavalry commander getting beaten on the back, come to understand the situation. But, he is still not convinced...
By carefully thinking about what Hugo is trying to say, he realized that this is indeed a matter of betrayal. Amzi's Eleventh battalion they are in works under the King, but only in the eyes of the King, public and his Troops...! But, Amzi serves under Prince Ronald... The battalion leader is in control of everything that the battalion does, the decision of its battalion is under Captain.
So by that means, every war they fought under Amzi's Command is by the order of Prince Ronald, but they all thought they were working for his Royal Highness.

It's not the personality of Hugo we are looking at, he is trying to justify himself so badly. Normally, Hugo could have killed them all and doesn't even care if they were to believe in him or not. But, for some reason deep inside his heart, he is doing this to expose the Amzi he knows.
"... Two years ago a province of Daemon Land got attacked by the Werewolves~" As Hugo said those words, Amzi realized something...

*Thoughts* "The reason behind his betrayal... No, how can that be possible? How did he found out about it? Could there be a survivalist they left behind...? But I had seen none during the investigation."
Amzi began to sweat heavily as Hugo further told the story, the moment flashed in his head as Hugo further revealed the incident and his role... Amzi involuntarily stared towards Hugo in shock, coincidently Hugo also turned towards him at the same time. Hugo gave him a malicious look before finishing up the last word. If the king finds out, he is dead for sure...!
Two years ago, Hugo was still under a Province of Daemon Land, he was the Spy of the Province and was not under the King, rather he was under another king. But, On a full moon night, the Kingdom got attacked by the werewolf out of nowhere. They didn't even receive any intelligence prior to the attack and the Kingdom got annihilated in one night. Only after few days, the Kingdom got the news about the Incident.
Now, Hugo is claiming that the Intelligence was Indeed given by him one week ago and the Province had the time to prepare for the battle. But, the Intelligence got concealed by the followers of Prince Ronald and Hugo was also one of them... They deliberately hide the information by killing the Spy with Intelligence and as a result, the whole Province got annihilated.

"Your whole story doesn't even fit in the character of our Prince Ronald and Captain Amzi, you are just making up a story to justify your wickedness."

"Ooh, another swine between the troops!" I thought Amzi shuffled up his whole troops, so there is still one left.

*Thoughts* "What's he trying to prove now that I exposed Amzi's doing? I want to listen to his nonsense. By the way, I must admit his guts, I mean his foolishness... Calling for trouble on his own!" *Chuckle*
The troops got even more confused, what is happening here? One is telling a whole story of treason to justify his own treason, and another one is saying he made up the story, and instead, he is the one working under Prince Ronald.
Contrary to those under-experienced soldiers, the Unit Commanders on the back come to understand Hugo's Argumentation. First, only the Swordsman commander was able to gauge the situation, but now, the spearsman commander also got the hint of the matter. They realized, there is indeed a very high chance of truth in Hugo's word no matter now how his underling besides him tries to defend Amzi and blame Hugo with his own reasoning...
As a first thing is, why should Hugo lie to them after doing so many things? It will not do anything if he is lying. The second thing is, they were observing the reaction of their Captain and by the looks of his nervous face which was filled with the air of haughtiness before when he was talking to Hugo, compared to that, now its sweating and pale as he is afraid of the consequences it will bring to him even if he got out of this Hell.
The man is one of the four who didn't answer anything during the question-answer game, he is also getting beaten up along with the unit commanders in the same pole. He is quite older and experienced than other Troop members, he is also one of the oldest followers of Amzi. So it is obvious for Hugo to recognize he is also one of the traitors and is trying to hide things by dismissing the claims of Hugo.
Amzi, who was sweating heavily and was lost in his deep thoughts after realizing the mistakes from the past. As a result of his soldier's reply, he snapped out of his thought and turned towards the direction where one of his soldiers was yelling on his support. He got curious as to know what cards he is playing even after he got exposed, and by this, he is putting his own life on the line. As of now, Hugo has already laid his eyes on him, he is dead for sure...

*Thoughts* "What- What's he trying to do now? Fool~ *disapproval* should have laid quiet instead of doing things mindlessly. Now, he is already dead after finishing his bullshit. But I also want to hear what he has to say?"
Amzi got quite curious about what the soldier has to say in the defense of his Captain, and What's with this counterattack that Hugo is the one acting under Prince Roland? How is he gonna explain his statement?
