Chapter 1 - The First Day Of Death

Sept/7/2010

Torin Latem, a young man starting his senior year of highschool. He approached the school with a bright smile on his face, a sea of students passing him by as he takes his stop. Turning around, his eyes met the road, a solemn feeling filling his soul. Slowly, he smiled and turned back to his school. "It's wishful thinking but... I so hope I don't die today."

The male followed the crowd to his class, each step mimicking those before him. Finally, reaching the door of his class, he gazed into the room. After inhaling, he took hold of his hair brush, brushing his hair, making sure everything was just perfect. His dark pupils mimicked a pond in the night sky. Yet, there was a calmness to his gaze. Torin smiled, "Here we go..."

He took his first step into his new classroom, a charming gaze erupting from his body. Taking sight upon the students in seats, he calmly searched for a seat. Usually, he'd find himself near a window so he could pry his eyes outdoors... But that wasn't an option.

[ Truly, all windows were taken in an instant. "Ok then..." He placed his eyes to the back, 'To the back I go-" Full, "Midd-?" Again, full. The only seat that hadn't been taken was the one at the very front of the class. The seat he hated the most. ]

It was the closest to the teacher. With a painful sigh, he gazed at the colorful faces before falling flat into his seat. "Well damn..."

"Yo!" Grabbing Torin's attention, he turned to see another male. "What's your name guy, nice to me-" "Here, let me stop you there. I'm a bully... And I eat kids... I'm also a part-time rapist... Who kills kittens." Torin explains, causing the boy to freeze in place. "W-What?" The teenager was confused, unable to foster the right comments to such an explanation. "Exactly." Torin turned around, trying his best to ignore any form of interaction.

It was the same for his prior years at this school. No matter what, he's always been like that. He's tallied up to zero friends in total. Any interactions that hadn't been related to work was dismissed in a heartbeat. Infact, the very few classmates that were in the same grade as him since the start of his highschool career had practically given up on him.

"Heeeey! Don't ignore me!"

Torin proceeded to ignore him.

"Oh come on! Please? I really need a friend!" After rolling his eyes and delivering a sigh, he went against his better judgement and turned once more. "Look, as if I hadn't made it clear enough, I'm not looking for friends, kay?" He states, a stern look in his eye. Yet, this young man hadn't the option of giving up, "Ford Badger, nice to meet you!" Ignoring all of his comments, Ford extended his arm. Torin had simply turned away, choosing not to deal with this foolishness.

It hadn't taken long for the class to settle down for the teacher's arrival. "Good-Morning class!" A short brunette sped through the door, holstering a clipboard to her chest. Her smile had the scent of nervousness, eyes soft and fragile. The class had gone quiet, watching the nervous teacher stumble over herself. "She's quite the nervous mess isn't she?" Ford comments, "Why are you talking to me?" Torin peered behind him. "We're friends pal!" The male raised both arms with a gentle chuckle, "No! I didn't agree to that."

Torin tried his best to keep his cool, refusing to accept friendship. "Well Uhm!" The teacher continued once more, nervously rubbing the marker against the whiteboard.

'Turnip Frizzle'

A bundle of muttering had been strung tight amongst the children. The air felt thin as Mrs. Frizzle shook nervously at the sight of so many kids. "Miss Frizzle... Please... Call me that... I-"

*Ring*

Just like that, homeroom had ended just as quickly as it began. The new teacher had been left in awe, having yet to finish her sentence. The class was silent once more, glaring at the lady with a concerned view. With shame, she had let herself out, "Have a good day students." Her tone dry, lacking the emotion that she's never been able to muster. "What a wreck." Torin crossed his arms and leaned back in his seat. "You can say that again. Must be new." Ford replies.

"Alright! Morning students! My name's Mr. Morris, and I'm your math teacher!" An overly handsome man came walking through the door. He wore a flannel shirt with brown jeans. His large biceps peaked out of his sleeves as he spoke. His jelled hair sparkled under the sunlight whilst his blue eyes casted the students in an ocean. His chiseled jawline made every sound of his manly voice breathtaking to even the guys in the class. It was at that moment, everyone shared a collective thought;

'This man is HOT!'

"Alright! First day calls for the first class! Get your pens and books students, we're going on quite a rough riiiiiideeeeee!" Mr. Morris had flexed throughout his whole statement, placing all the students in a form of awe as they gazed onto his rippling biceps.

'Mr. Morris, he's been my teacher every year... The hell does he still look so jacked?!' Torin thought to himself. 'He's gotten taller hasn't he?!' His mind continued to grow in a wild way as he took his book out of his bag. "The hell is that guy?" Torin turned to the boy, "Let's just say he's a man who built the house he was born in. An ultra Chad if you may." Ford nodded, gulping from the pure manliness that filled the field of students.

Class had barely slated a minute. Or rather, it had lasted a whole hour. But somehow someway, the elapsed time felt nothing like that. Infact, if anything, the constant flexing of the man had hypnotized the students to believing such. Once it was all over and the man had taken his leave, the students peered at each other in uncertainty. Those to whom were never phased by weird acts such as these... They were in awe. Mr. Morris had left the class, and although it seemed as though he had only been flexing, the notebooks of every student had been filled.

"Why am I still surprised?" Torin glanced at his notebook. He's never failed a math class before. Why? Because Mr. Morris had been his teacher for years now. It was almost like magic, but not a single student has ever gotten less than a ninety in his class, whether they've committed to studying or not.

*Ring*

The bell sounded, snapping Torin out of his trance. Swiftly, he stood to his feet and left the classroom. It was lunch. Though, he wasn't heading to the cafeteria. Nor was he planning to stay in the class. Instead, he made his way around the school searching for an unused class to sit in. Unfortunately, Ford wasn't far behind. Infact, the distance was almost miniscule.

Finding an empty class on the third floor, the male entered, treading towards a window. After prying the window open, he took a glance of the outside world, drenched in a peaceful silence that didn't come easy. "Hey Torin! Whatchu doin'?"

With a prolonged sigh, Torin turned to his 'friend'. "What?" - "Ouch, you seem kinda grumpy. Is everything okay?" Ford approached him. "Yes! Now leave!"

[On Ford's approach, due to a shift of luck, the male bumped his toe on a desk. He tripped forwards, trying to catch his balance, he hopped on one leg before diving at Torin "Woah!" Yet instead of colliding with Torin or holding on, he ended up pushing him. ]

Before Torin had known it, his body had been sent out the window. His eyes peered up to the blue skies as a sense of fear raced throughout his body. "Well shit! I just had to die today." With a nervous chuckle to set him off, his body plummeted to the floor, smashing into the concrete below. His corpse splattered infront of a young girl that was passing by.

"Aww damn! My toe... You alright Torin.... Torin?" Ford stood to his feet, looking around and realizing that the male was no longer there. Peering out the window, Ford had nearly lost all sense of his being.

From the third floor, he saw what remained of his new friend, turned to paste from the impact of the fall. "Torin!" He howled out, pupils shaking and body trembling. He turned and ran out of the classroom, hoping to reach the first floor and check if he's alright.

The girl had been frozen, blood splattered across both her uniform and her face. She was afraid to a degree, holding in the urge to throw up.

"Damn idiot!"

The girl hitched, stepping back as her mouth had gone agape, her breathing even more unstable as before.

"Out of all things, why'd this happen?!"

Torin stood to his feet, the female before him now falling to the floor. She was still breathless, unable to speak due to such a sight that unfolded before her eyes. "Y-Your alive!" She pointed at him. Yet, he had simply chuckled, "Well duh! What'd you expect? I merely tripped." He states, providing a confident smile with a shrug.

Her throat had clogged up, the fear finally getting to her. "B-But how! You fell from up there! You didn't-" ~

"Nope! Your imagining things!"

Torin walked off abruptly, not minding the one witness that saw him. Covered in blood, he made his departure. The student could only watch and gawk, witnessing the dead-man walking.

"Later! I'm gonna go beat someone's ass now!" He waved her off, a devilish smirk erupting on his face.
