Chapter 4 - chapter three | last day with unnie

I woke up to the smell of a delicious breakfast meal and to the rays of sunlight that has beamed through the blinds of my room. I was confused for I didn't hear my alarm clock blast off. I reached for my phone on my nightstand, squinting my eyes on its' brightness as soon as I opened it up and it was already 8 am and a Sunday.

Oh, that's why I don't have any schedules for today.

I sat up and immediately took ahold of my head, God this headache's giving me a hard time already!

I looked at myself in the mirror and saw how wasted I was from last night. My hair's messy, my makeup's a mess for I didn't clean it last night, and my eyes look puffy.

Wait, what happened last night?

I also noticed that I'm wearing my pajamas and not my party clothes yesterday.

I closed my eyes and sighed as I massaged my temples. As if a lighbulb has been lit up on my head, I remembered things from last night.

We've done some shopping at Gangnam-gu, ate some ramen afterwards, had dessert at an ice cream parlor, and ended our night at a local bar. Aziel-oppa and I had a contest of drinking for he's sad as well for the announcement of Naomi-unnie's departure. We ended up emptying a whole bottle of vodka and wasted ourselves. I remembered singing to the tomato song with him as we went to the parking lot before passing out in Kendric's car.

I went straight to the bathroom to wash my face somehow and did my morning routine.

After doing so, I sneaked at the kitchen to see Naomi-unnie humming her favorite song while cooking our breakfast.

I'm going to miss our morning rituals like this. Or simply, I'm just gonna miss her for sure.

"Yah! Pabo Nefertari!" She was so scared that I was almost hit by the spatula she's using.

I was laughing too damn hard as I clutched my stomach and clapped my hands. Look how the tables have turned now.

"Joeun achim, unnie!" When she turned her self to what she was cooking, I gave her a backhug and kissed her cheek.

"I guess someone's clingy today. Waeyo?" Naomi-unnie teased my and spoke with such tone.

"Can't I just be like this to my older sister?" I spoke up and placed my head on her shoulder. I'm really going to miss this.

I heard her sigh which I copied. "Yah! Yah! Yah! C'mon, let's eat breakfast now." Naomi said as she removed herself from my hold and turned off the stove. She felt that the atmosphere's will just get dense if we continue to be like that.

We ate in silence for a couple of minutes until she spoke up this time.

"Tari, you know I'm going to miss you right?" I heard her say and I just looked at my food in response.

"Maybe this is just a challenge for you to find the best version of yourself, who knows?" She offered a smile and squeezed my hand, I smiled back. "Don't worry, we'll find a way for you not to feel alone after my departure."

We finished eating breakfast until she called my name while she was washing dishes.

"Tari-ya!" I heard her voice from the living room as I was beating my high score at a certain game.

"Yah, unnie--gosh. You're such a pabo, Ruby Nefertari. That's just one point away from the high score!" I was cut off from my talking when Naomi took ahold of my phone.

"Shut up and get ready. We'll go to the amusement park."

----

"Unnie! Let's go to the carousel!" I spoke in an uwu language as Naomi shook her head at my behavior.

The two of us already went around the amusement park, me with a cotton candy to devour and Naomi-unnie with a chicken skewer to enjoy.

We already rode some rides and played some arcade games which gained me another stuffed toy because of my unnie's basketball skills.

"Yah! That's too childish! Let's go to that one!" Naomi pointed to that one hell of a rollercoaster that made my mouth make an 'O' shape again.

"Ani, ani! That's too scary, unnie! And you know, mulmishimae~ (motion sickness)" I tried to make an aegyo to my sister but it was too late. Naomi was already pulling me to the line of the rollercoaster.

Ever since we started lining up until we were being assisted by the staff, I was still basically begging my sister to just ride another one instead but I wanted to make my sister happy, this girl always leaves me no choice!

"Tari, if you scream, you'll buy me skewers and if I scream, I'll buy you cotton candy." Naomi excitedly made a bet with me but she saw my closed eyes while holding the harness of the ride tightly.

"Aigoo~ aigoo~," I said while closing my eyes and Naomi held my hand to calm myself down.

We ended up screaming at the apex and when we got down from the ride, I almost passed out that Naomi rushed to the stores to buy me some water.

Once I was stable enough to walk, we went to our last ride, the ferris wheel while food and drinks accompanied our ride.

"Daebak." I whispered as my eyes saw how wonderful view Seoul is. I remembered riding this one before eomma and appa went to New Zealand, leaving the two of us here all alone.

Suddenly, a tear rolled down my cheek, followed by another and another and another realizing that it was Naomi-unnie's turn to do this, leaving me all alone in South Korea.

She suddenly went by my side and hugged me so tight. "I'll miss you so much Tari. Saranghaeyo."

We cried like idiots inside this unit of the ferris wheel while she cradled me on her arms.

"Nado saranghaeyo, unnie." I looked at her, eyes filled with tears that made her cry again. "Take care in New Zealand, arasso? Be healthy, and don't overwork yourself."

"You sound more like an unnie," Naomi laughed and hugged her sister again. "Just always remember the things I always say to you. Keep safe here."

I nodded at her and we endulged the view of Seoul at the top, enjoying my last day with my unnie.

"Yah, don't send me off to the airport tomorrow, arasso?" Naomi suddenly spoke up. I arched an eyebrow at her in confusion. "Waeyo?"

"I just don't to see you crying tomorrow, knowning I'm the reason behind it. And you know, makeup's gonna be ruined."

We laughed together and I just nodded again at her, because I will disregard her words for now. I will still send her off tomorrow at the airport.

"Don't worry, we'll find a way for you not to feel alone after my departure."
