When we came in to the guild we see the crowd gather in the lobby, we saw the unconscious Irvin on the floor and there are 5 people beside Irvin it looks like they're a magician or mage who try to heal Irvin. Irvin's body is full of scars and wounds, and in the middle of his body, there's a hole, a hole that big enough that our hand can fit into that hole. The wound, scar, and hole in Irvin's body look like it was caused by a monster.
Behind the 5 people who try to heal Irvin is Sir Alcott, he is the scholar that we meet with Irvin when we are in the ruin. His body is the same as Irvin full of wounds and scars. With his panicked and exhausted face, he shouted his shout is very loud until it can be heard outside the guild.
"The flood will coming we must evacuate the city immediately!!"
Because is already afternoon the adventure in the guild isn't so many. The adventure who heard Alcott shout then make a fuss, but right on the time before the fuss is broke the guild master and his secretary, Rudy and Arsya come to the lobby, not along after them Agata and his party come down to the lobby.
"Calm down Sir Alcott, if you shout like that it only creates panic to the surrounding, at least you must your keep calm and tell the information to us the official of this guild. And can you be more detailed about what happens when you're in the ruin? What happens to Irvin?"
The one who tries to calm down Sir Alcott is Rudy. because he is the guild master and the one in power here, he tried to gather the information as to what caused Alcott and Irvin to become like this. He already knows that Irvin and Alcott's party are investigating the new ruin that recently has been found since it will need the guild master's approval near that ruin to get the permission to investigate the ruin.
I and jade come into the lobby and get closer to Irvin and Alcott. The two of us are curious about what happened to them, we just meet them 5 days ago, what happened to them that make the two of them became like this? What about the rest of their guard? There should be 7 guards with him but the one who comes back is Irvin.
Alcott still in a panicked state he seems to can't calm down. He is not in his mind. He breathes in and out slowly. There's a faint of fear in his eyes, I can see it.
"Hey, hey, Alcott calm down okay… Listen to us, listen, tell us what happened?"
Rudy still try to get the detailed thing to what happened to them
"All… All of my bodyguard… all of them are dead in the ruin"
He covers his face and tries to tell us what happens to that ruin.
"That ruin is cursed… That city… that place is cursed…"
"What do you mean it cursed?"
Asked Rudy.
"I think… we just awakened something that we must not… That thing is something from another world …"
He still tried to control his breathing. The other who heard what Alcott said can't understand what he means, his information is too vague. What does he mean about awakened something that we must not? No one knows all of them only can guess that something bad is happening in that ruin. Many adventures who heard what Alcott said then swallow their saliva I can hear the sound of 'gulp' from adventure behind me and jade.
Alcott looked at the surrounding, he then saw us.
"Jade… Galen… I'm glad you didn't come with me I'm really glad… I'm sorry if I ever asked you to come with me… I'm sorry"
Tears come from him. He approaches us. He grabs our hand he showed his desperate face to us.
"What happens? What happened in there Sir Alcott?"
I asked him.
"I failed to protect my subordinate, there's something in that ruin, that thing is…"
Right before he tells us what happens, the magician in charge of healing Irvin shouted.
"Guild master, there's something strange in this man's body, we keep heal him but his wound didn't come off, it's like his wound can't be healed…"
They're confused as to why Irvin can't be healed. Her healing magic and other 4 should be enough to close his wound and stopping his bleeding, but his wound can't be closed.
"What do you mean?"
Rudy confused.
"It's like something destroying him from the inside…"
"From the insid… 'gasp' "
When she said the reasoning of why Irvin can't be healed. Me, Jade, Arsya, Rudy, and Agata the five of us noticed something. There's a life form inside Irvin's body. We felt a burst of magic inside Irvin's body, something is creeping up inside. We can felt something is moved inside Irvin even though it was vague but all of us can felt it. Because the 5 of us are skilled adventure we have a sharp sense, that's why we can feel it. We can feel something bad will happen…
"GET READY OF THE BARRIER, ALL OF YOU GET BACK!!"
When Rudy shout to all of them, the five of us take an action immediately, we run to each of the five people who heal Irvin before. Except for Agata, he runs hurriedly to his party. Each one of us pulled one person from Irvin. I want to pull one person who didn't get pulled by the four of us but I can't if I tried to save him it will be too late for me, I just save one person and immediately create a barrier. The five of us immediately create the barrier we can feel something will burst out from Irvin's body. The one person who doesn't get pulled up before realized, and tried to create a barrier too, but before that person can create the barrier something is exploding from Irvin's body. All of the organs inside Irvin explode out, the blood the organ inside him spill out. All of us are surprised that something grotesques in front of us. In the blood and in the organ that spills out from Irvin's body there's a small creature, it's like a worm… there are so many. That small creature then jumped out in all directions. That creature then came into the human body that they can find.
"Arghhhhh, help, help something is inside my body… Arghhhh"
That one person I can't save before asking for help. The creature gets inside that man's body, it's like a parasite.
"Arghhh help, it got me too."
Not only him but other adventure that can't get in time to run away or hide get that creature in their body, in total 8 people get this creature inside them. All of them screaming in pain and try asking for help from the other adventure, but they're avoid all that person and create their own barrier to protect them. I don't understand why they didn't help them, when I want to get rid of my barrier Rudy then shout.
"Keep your barrier!! Don't come out from your barrier!! Drink the antidote in your bag if you have it!!"
Wha… I can't understand… someone is asking for help in front of us, they're agonizing in pain why did we didn't help them?
Some people who get parasites inside their body run frantically they want to go out from the guild, but they can't. Rudy already uses his magic to seal the lobby so that there's no one who came out and came in.
"ARGHHHH, HELP… PLEASE HELPP"
All of them scream in pain, asking for help but we can only just see it then without any command or order Arsya throw all her knife to that 8 people. All of her knives pierced their head. All of them then died because Arsya knife, not stop in there Rudy then create a barrier to 8 people who get that parasite before.
We still didn't get an order to put down our barrier and no one dared to put down their barrier.
"Listen!! We will wait for 5 minutes in the barrier until the antidote working and for them who can move inside their barrier help me try to kill all of this worm, burn all of them including anything that attached to them"
It means they will burn anything that gets touched by that worm/parasite. All of the adventures that saved in that incident then nodded.
I, Jade, Arsya, Rudy, and Agata, including the person we pulled before are safe. Some of the adventures are too saved because Rudy warns them before Irvin's body explodes.
In only just 5 minutes all of the people who get that parasite or worm inside their body died, and from the look of Rudy's reaction and other adventure reactions, it's look like that creature is dangerous… I still can't understand what happening so I ask jade.
"Jade, what the hell is happening? What is that worm thing?"
Jade still maintaining her barrier
"That thing is Maneater Worm… that worm is Advanced rank monster, they're monster who eats anything that life. They eat the animal, monster, and human… their bottomless stomach eat everything that they want… with only 1 monster alone that monster can eat a whole people in only 10 days. They're a parasitic monster that we can't underestimate because that creature is small it can come into the body of people without noticed, it is said that after they eat the human they will become much bigger and reproduce and multiply. It is the cursed monster that all of us don't want to face it…"
The horror of that small monster is really frightening. That one small creature can eat one person… what if there are 100 of them? It will be a disaster since they're small we can't detect it, this monster is so dangerous.
"The only thing that can kill that monster is only with fire they're can't be killed by anything but fire. Their teeth penetrate anything besides magic… If someone gets this parasite inside their body if it only one you can just drink antidote, but if there's so many of them get into your body… there's no other way… you can just die from that monster or you burn yourself"
What a hellish monster… now I understand why Rudy said that we must not put down our barrier. This monster is more frightening than any monster that I meet.
The adventure who is can move inside their barrier try to help Rudy burn the corpse and the remaining of Irvin and that worm, they don't want that worm to come to the city and terrorized people in this city. I and jade are no exception we help Rudy burn the remaining. Then we heard someone scream.
"Alcott!! What the hell happen? Can you explain to us what happens in there, right now!!??"
Agata shouted to Alcott. He grabs Alcott collar and lifts him into the wall, Agata looks very angry.
