Chereads / Raine's Carnation / Chapter 56 - Carnation 54

Chapter 56 - Carnation 54

Third Person

Paris, France: Jardin d'Eden

7:27 P.M.

The music was playing out of the big stereo beneath the couch while the 4 members of IXCrest are nibbling on all 4 cheese pizza with cheese-stuffed crust brought by Sir Edward from the pizza place located in the basement part of the building.

"Can you feel the love tonight...?"

The music kept going as Raine tried to look relaxed but her tensed shoulders and the fact that she has not touched the pizza slice on her plate gave her current mood away while being sandwiched between his teacher and classmate who happens to be performers of the high rising boy band, "IXCrest".

"Where's your tattoo, Romien?" Raine asked, she pushed herself to sound natural but it didn't work as it came out as a nervous squeak.

Romien smiled when she heard her voice before answering, "I only used face paint. I washed it off..." He even showed her his clean flawless chest by pulling up his shirt, "You know I don't like tattoos..."

"Oh. yeah right..." The girl commented before getting back to her own silent sanctuary.

Sir Edward and Romien looked at each other with worried eyes before looking at Raine. One of them tried to talk again but they don't know how to start another conversation with the traumatized female.

"I am speechless," Bronze spoke and everyone looked at him. Silver pressed a remote button to turn off the speakers so they could properly hear the ginger-haired boy's words.

...

Bronze held up a piece of pizza in the air before asking, "How do they make a cheese-stuffed crust?"

It was silent a while ago.

But this time, it was more silent with silent curses and rants floating around for Bronze for breaking the awkward moment with a stupid question.

...

Well, at least he broke it.

No one answered him, everyone just stared and made him realize his question was dumb, "No really, how?" he asked again.

But yeah, he didn't realize it-

Silver, the boy with black hair, hit his face with his palm and can't believe he has to answer his friend's query, "Bronze, I-"

Bronze waited for his answer like a little child. Picking up a slice of pizza, Silver showed him the crust before breaking it open,

"They stuff it like before they form it as a crust," he explained.

Bronze stared at the steam coming out of the cheese filling, "...okay I get it" the boy smiled while nodding but opened his lips again, "But-"

Silver sighed at that word which means he's going to ask another nonsense question.

...

"How do they stuff the steam inside?"

And he did, as expected.

Having enough of it, Silver snapped and placed the hot cheese-filled crust into his mouth before turning on the music again then turned upside down like an actual bat on the couch with his legs hooking on the headrest while his head was hanging down the seat with his hair falling with the gravity.

"Answer me..." Bronze cooed and poked the boy's flat stomach.

Silver kept silent and turned up the music to cover up the rubbishes coming out of his "friend's" mouth.

"Wise men say, only fools rush in"

The curious boy didn't know why Silver acted that way because for him it was a newfound unanswered question. He tried to examine another piece of crust and admired the steam coming out inside.

Parallel with Silver and Bronze seated Edward Broshe who took the opportunity of talking to Raine now that the girl is less tense, "Raine," he called after he touched her shoulder, "I'm so sorry that performance is very unprofessional..."

Raine turned to her adviser and smiled but before she could comment, Bronze decided to say something first to Edward as he sat on top of the center glass table in front of the three.

"It was professional! What are you talking about?" Bronze corrected Edward's statement before facing Romien, "Gold that face had the people going crazy!"

Blushing, the brown-haired boy did not respond to the compliment and just looked away, "We hope you forgive us for showing that lewd display..." he apologized to Raine beside him.

"I'm still your literature teacher and I'm keeping the professionalism in school," Sir Edward smiled and held his student's shaky hand, "The department of the school and I will keep this strictly confidential. You are a trusted student I can rely this secret on..."

"I'm still your classmate, Raine..." Romien added and held her other hand, "And you know, I want Racquel. This is just another one of my career to pay off my student loans."

Raine looked at both of them before looking down at her feet. Both of the boys lost hope when she took back her hands from their cradling palm. Casually, Bronze was just there not giving care and was giving a little dissection on a mere pizza crust, "This one's not steaming!" he pouted.

Romien and Edward slumped their backs on the couch as they desired to sew Bronze's mouth shut so they could properly set the needed ambiance for apologizing.

"I think..." Raine spoke making all four boys lift their heads.

It seemed like it was the first time they heard her melodious voice, "That performance-"

They waited, ready to be possibly hit by something real hard.

Rock hard truth.

"What?" Bronze broke the tension. The other three sent him the '...you fucking broke the momentum again...' death stare.

Raine sent all of them a warm smile while wrestling her thumb with the other one, "... Was something to be proud of and nothing to be ashamed of..."

Her statement pulled some of their heartstrings, it made Silver's unusual bat position into a normal sit arrangement, more importantly, made Bronze stop fondling with the cheese-stuffed crust.

"The chemistry of your characters, acting, and voices were phenomenal," They all listened as she gave insights, "I'm very proud of you two..."

"Sorry, I'm not really into homosexual content or lewd shows in general. And I-I'm just shocked," Raine explained with her hair as a curtain to block their view of her blushing, "I'm not going to lie, it was indescribably surprising but I really "really" enjoyed the show. All of you highlighted the scene exuberantly."

It was the first time someone really appreciated the essence and the art within their acts. Their fans always highlight the part of man to man interaction, not the story. It's not that they aren't happy about that, for starters it is the unique reason that separates them from the other bands on the billboard.

But it's sometimes sickening when fans send them requests or suggestions with attached photos and videos that need to be kicked out of the context-

It's very graphic.

Bronze cleared his throat before clapping, "Good. Very good conversation. And now that's all settled—"

...

"How do you stuff steam and cheese inside the crust at the same time?"

Both of the boys residing beside the girl sighed heavily, except Raine who just smiled awkwardly before lightly giggling at the boy's silly question. It made Silver hang upside down again like a bat and meditated before he could pop the last patience living inside him.

"Really, how?" Bronze blinked a few times and handed Raine a piece of crust.

"Search the fucking net, you dumb bastard!" someone shouted.

Seconds after that, a loud thump caught their attention from the other corner of the room opposite to where the 5 people were casually conversing. The solid wall almost cracked as Saccharide kicked it with force.

A shaking Saccharide stuck to his decision and kept his position the first time he got in. He was still facing the wall near the door with one hand occupied by the brochure he was reading, the other one was against the wall as his right foot was placed against the wall.

He'd rather scan the 4 folds of the brochure instead of listening to the babblings of these 'guys'. After a few minutes, he'll have Raine all to himself and continue the date.

'Damn, he kicked damn hard!' Bronze thought when he caught a glimpse of scratch on the glossed up seemingly new wallpaper.

The sound made the bodyguards from outside enter, holding up their phones and guns while looking around. Romien gave them a cut-in-the-neck action with both of his hands meaning it's only a false alarm.

"False alarm. I repeat. False alarm," the two tall buffy men whispered in their phones before smiling at the band and the guests.

After the short action commercial, a prick in their hearts was removed and so they sighed in relief, "Thank goodness, they're gentle giants or else you'll be kicked out of here, Saccharide!" Edward warned him as he turned off the music.

The music did not help in blocking out the sound of his powerful kick but obviously, he doesn't give a fuck about it, "Yeah, thank goodness- my ass!" the obnoxious teen talked back and got back to reading the texts on the folds of the brochure.

"Oh, I nearly forgot that one of our VIP is not through his personal time out corner," Bronze turned to him and thanked him for the generous advice, "But that suggestion was good, thank you!"

The ginger-haired lad then looked at Raine before asking, "Is that your boyfriend, Miss?"

Saccharide was caught by that query so he put down the brochure first and slightly looked behind his shoulder to listen. "Yes," Raine proudly said, "Saccharide's my man."

'I guess she made it clear, now where was I?' The boy smiled and looked back at the brochure he was reading, not wanting to submerge himself in their conversation.

Bronze cringes when he saw the girl's eyes twinkle as she pronounced his name. Raine hesitated first before finally taking the courage to offer him her hand for a friendly shake, "My name's Raine by the way."

Gladly, he took her hand and shook it a little bit.

"Uhm, Bronze-" Romien called him as his bow lifted when Bronze didn't let go of Raine's hand, instead, he entangled his fingers with hers. The girl awkwardly stared at both of their hands while he held them up as if they were a couple of figures.

Without realizing their reaction towards his flirty action, he uttered, "Alright..."

"So you are pretty rare, huh? Never have I ever saw a real-life breathing girl who is not into our content like- it's why our act clicks because of women fetishes of man to man contact," the ginger-haired boy rapped his statement.

"Well, I guess I'm a freak..." Raine giggled and tried to remove the boy's hand from her but it just gets tighter each attempt.

"You sound smart when it comes to explaining our job," Silver said, still hanging upside down the couch.

"Well, for one thing, IT is my job," Bronze proudly declared with his chin up, "I don't stuff cheese and steam inside of a pizza crust, Silver!"

Silver sighed and whispered before closing his eyes, "Oh dear..."

Raine just remembered Silver's performance so she just has to commend his skill with the keyboard he was playing and decided to formally call him, "Mister Silver!"

Raine stood up and sat beside the obviously shocked Silver. Even if he was lying like an upside-down cross, they could clearly see the surprised expression the moment the girl held his hand. His opened mouth and shrunken pupils did not stop the girl from showering him with compliments about his talent.

"I want to applaud your keyboard skill! You run your fingers on that keyboard like it was breathing," she smiled before frowning when the boy pulled his hand out of her grasp before moving his body from Raine.

'Did I say something off?' she thought and just accepted a silent thank you from him.

"Anyways, I admire your talent!" she added the sugar to the coating, "My fingers can only type with computer and phone keyboards. Annoying sounds can only be made by these digits..."

"Don't worry, Raine..." Romien explained, "He's not used to talking with others. Usually, it's just Bronze he was comfortable with but with us, he's quite a mime..."

"Yeah..." Bronze taunted again, making both attentive males grunt, "But he was very vocal and loud in bed."

Silver, still in his unique position can't take any teasing again and shouted, "What the fuck, Bronze?!"

"What's wrong with you snoring loudly in your sleep?!" Bronze asked, bring his hands up in the air.

"I give up! Just shut up!" Silver blew a fuse and turned his head to the side, his pierced ear reddened at the very tip.

"Where were we? Oh, Raine, you were saying?" Romien smiled and decided to break the awkward silence between them, "She was saying nice stuff to you..."

Closing his eyes again to meditate, Silver paid no attention to Raine's commencement and Romien's guide.

It was silent again.

"Yeah. His fingers work wonders," Bronze said out of nowhere.

A loud crash on the floor was made when Silver fell from his seat, hit his head on the floor before curling into a tight ball. Raine panicked and kneeled beside the boy while soothing his head. Romien and Edward stood up before letting the girl handle the Silver.

"Are you alright?" she repeatedly whispered as her hand massages the spot on his head where he landed.

After a few strokes, he got up from the floor, sat in a normal manner, and hid his blushing face from everyone else's sight, "You're like a cat, aren't you?" the girl giggled when she noticed how his shoulder rose with tension when she stopped grooming his strands with her soothing hand.

Edward finally spoke and motioned Bronze to sit on a proper chair instead of a glass table which will cost them a couple of euros if scratched or damaged, "I think you should stop that, Bronze!"

"What?" Confusedly, he asked the bothered teacher and sent him an understandable translation of those wonders, "He was really good at massaging my feet!"

"I'm very sorry, Raine!" Edward apologized, "He tends to SAY things with different intended messages..."

Rolling his eyes out of his eye sockets, he finally got up from the table to settle himself to the other couch before crossing his arms and started murmuring tantrum slurs. Raine stopped brushing her fingers on Silver's hair and sat beside Bronze before saying, "I don't get it. He's saying perfectly normal things."

Bronze's eyes lit up and pulled Raine into his arms, "Right?!" he exclaimed dramatically, "Finally someone who gets me! Ugh! I love you already!"

Both are innocent to recognize the versatile use of Bronze's words.

No one can really legally sue them for that trait.

And no one can legally blame the others for not being able to be used to it.

His action set off a bomb on the other side of the room because Saccharide kicked the wall again. It's his known warning mechanism when he feels offended and threatened.

Taking in none of his inconsiderate attitude and manners, Romien stood up and went near him, "Saccharide, you're not paying for this room"

Saccharide turned around and held Romien's collar, "I can buy you, Romien!"

"You won't like him. He's not good in bed," Bronze commented again while stroking Raine's hair.

"What? Romien, explain this!" Sir Edward spat out before standing up. Saccharide let the male go as the poor male received weird looks from the people in the room.

His forehead sweats grew as he tried to comprehend and give an answer, "We didn't-"

It was hard to find an explanation for a happening that never existed.

"He was...-"

His hands shook as he pointed to the relaxed male on the couch, calmly cuddling Raine while ignoring the fact that Saccharide's burning eyes were about to produce laser and impale his thick skull, especially it's hollow insides.

"Bronze!" Romien called him.

"It's true! You're really not good in bed," Bronze defended himself, "You don't know how to properly fold the sheets and fix the pillows!"

Saccharide shouted, "Shut the fuck up!"

Then everybody's lips in the room zipped shut as the grey-haired male kicked the wall again, this time, his fury got the best of the wall's structure so little bits of cement fell on the floor and little bits were scattered on his black shoes.

Raine wanted to stand up and go to her boyfriend but she thought it was best to calm down on his own, "It's fine just don't get near him for the next 10 minutes" she warned them and pushed Bronze away from him with a minimal force so he doesn't feel the odd comfortability she was feeling beneath his fingers, riding along the waves of his black strands.

"Mister Bronze," she started a normal conversation with the boy and pointed out the only versatile thing about him, "Switching from one instrument to another is amazing. You're truly as unique as everyone else..."

The boy did not show any gratitude for her compliments, he just stared at her closely for a few measly seconds before making her uncomfortable again by invading her personal space. Silver placed himself on the farthest side of the long couch to avoid the involvement in Bronze's flirting techniques.

'Oh shit. He's flirting...' the other three members said in their minds, 'No one can stop him now. He's in his zone...'

"Your tattoo is well— unique I must say," he added and strummed his digits on her exposed flesh.

She shivered and stuttered, thinking of an answer, "Uhm well—"

Bronze smirked when he saw Silver's aloof movement when he caressed the girl's cheek, "Now that I see you up close-" the boy cooed and let the girl's eyeball panicked around the room, figuring out she's going to escape his dominion without hurting the feelings of the gentle boy and Saccharide knowing this is happening right now.

"You're really beautiful. And damn! You don't have any make-up on you," Bronze whispered after he brushed a thumb under her eye and finding no traces of cosmetic traces.

Raine looked over to the other couch, calling for help telepathically from Romien and Edward. Edward made sure Saccharide wasn't looking while Romien stood up and pretended to have a call from their manager.

"Guys we have to hurry, gentlemen. Senior is calling us. We have to prepare for the midnight performance by the Garden Paradise," Romien winked at Raine and clicked his tongue to make the other two members stand up.

With her discovered opportunity, Raine smiled at the enticing male in front of her and abruptly stood up from the couch, the girl shyly pat Bronze's head and thanked him for the adoration, "Thank you for the com-"

...

That was before Bronze decided to pull her onto his lap and kiss her full in the lips. He didn't wait for the girl to open her mouth. The shock made an entrance for him to slip his tongue and devour his newly discovered gem.
