Chereads / Raine's Carnation / Chapter 12 - Carnation 10

Chapter 12 - Carnation 10

Third Person

Paris, France: S. Heinz Condominium

Saccharide is just chilling there on his bed before his phone vibrated 3 times. He got up and took off his shirt, wiping the sweat off his well-built chest, feeling the scars on the surface of the skin he sighed.

It was a long time ago...

But the memories were tattooed...

He laid on his bed again before finally deciding to open the messages on his own.

Thanks for the payment, Massacre!!!

- Target

Sweet... Triple payment.

- Nightmare

Just enjoying my nuggets...

- Blood Shed

He stared at their texts with lifeless eyes before tossing his phone on his side.

James Trois was a gullible man, he just had to tell him that the girl on the television is his daughter when in fact, the final part of the video was edited professionally by Phoenix to make it look like that it was his daughter.

It was a triple payment. But he doesn't care so he just gave it all away equally to his gang members who need shit more than him.

Money can't make him feel complete...

Killing can't make him happy...

Nothing seems to matter anymore...

The idea of being reincarnated as Saccharide Heinz, the son of a War Lord started to sound like a wrong move for him.

But then there's the image of Raine on his mind that started a confusing storm inside of him. Once he closed his eyes, he met the orbs of his girl and her warm smile.

"Raine..."

He wants to devour the girl.

"Raine..."

He wants her love.

"Raine...!"

He wants to see her face.

"RAINE..."

He wants her so badly.

"RAINE!!!"

The heat inside of him grows bigger and bigger by the minute he calls out her name. Sweat pooled on his forehead and a little bit of saliva escaped the side of his lips as he imagined seeing Raine's eyes while they kiss passionately.

His imagination was cut off by his phone vibrating once more. Grunting, he picked his phone and saw a text from Phoenix.

Your Father wants you to come here

- Phoenix

He gritted his teeth and took a new shirt from his closet, grabbing a random gun before closing it.

What does his Father want now?

Probably, some mission to accomplish again.

Or maybe her mother wants to see him...

Ever since he became a high school student and a gang leader, his father would not beat him anymore and gave him all the necessities he needed to live on his own.

A condominium.

Money.

All the things he didn't get when he was still a child...

"Yeah yeah tell the old fucker that I'm coming..." Annoyed by the ongoing call from Phoenix, he smashed his thumb on the end call.

He strived straight to the automatic doors of his condominium to go to his Father.

That's what he thought...

When the doors opened, a young girl carrying a few pieces of carnations stood there with her hand on a knocking position.

Both of their mouths could not let the words escape as they stared at each other as if they both died and came back to life again after so many years.

Yeah, that was the feeling they both felt at that moment.

"Saccharide..."

When she spoke his name, he couldn't himself and let his body act on his own. His phone vibrated again and this time he didn't answer because his lips were on hers.

"It must be someone important,"

Saccharide ignored the girl's warning and hugged her as tightly as he could. She was like the food he wasn't able to eat for years.

"Answer it Saccha-"

"Fuck them all!!! All I want is to keep you here tonight,"

Smiling at the boy's blushing face, she hugged him back and led him to the bed to cuddle. His tears came rushing down like waterfalls because of the unsettling feeling inside him.

The phone kept vibrating so, the boy had no choice but to smash it into pieces on the floor.

"Saccharide. Don't move... I'm going to clean it first."

Worried about the shards wounding the boy's feet, she got up from the bed but got sliced by the little pieces of glass from the phone's screen.

"You clumsy bitch" Saccharide sighed and went for the girl's aid.

"No, please. Just stay there!" the girl pleaded. "You're going to get hurt."

The boy didn't let her words stop him and stepped on the shards of glass, showing no reaction to the pain. He bent over to examine the girl's feet; her pale skin was sliced up pretty badly that sent the girl into a crying fit.

"Does it hurt a lot?" asked Saccharide.

The girl smiled and replied, "I'm fine, but what about your feet?"

"When I see you... My pain disappears, "Saccharide said and placed a kiss on her forehead. "I can dance on a bed of glass shards with you and feel no pain."

Laughing at the girl's expression, he patted her head and made his way to the bathroom to get the first aid kit.

"Saccharide!"

The boy turned around to see the girl standing on the spot where he smashed the phone with her eyes closed, obviously enduring the searing pain beneath her feet.

"What the f-fuck?"

"May I have the honor to dance with you on this bed of glass shards, Massacre?" the girl elegantly twirled before lifting his skirt to bow slightly.

"Yeah... You mad bitch" Saccharide replied and took her hands.

The prince and princess danced gracefully, the Prince's right hand on her hip while the other one is intertwined with the Princess's hand. The Princess's other hand is gently placed on his shoulders while her head was resting on his chest.

"I miss you..."

"Prove it!"

The boy didn't wait for any action from the girl as he snatched his lips, claiming them as his own. Their lips and tongues moved in sync until the boy let go to let the girl breathe.

"Girl... How can you hide a monster inside you?" the boy panted.

"You made me a monster..." the girl smiled. "Now, take responsibility..."

Both of them continued dancing, their only music was each other's heartbeat and steady breath.

Each step indicates another shard will penetrate their skin. Both of them were not in their right mind when they decided to love each other, but they are right about one thing...

They were right...

With each other, they could dance on a bed of sharp glass pieces without feeling any pain.

"I love you, Saccharide," the girl whispered.

"I can't say it... yet," he whispered back.

"I'll wait..." the words of the girl flattered his heart.

They danced while the moon watched as they stained the carpeted floor with both of their blood.

Both of them knew that a moment this beautiful wouldn't last long...

Because someone could stop the music for them and bury one of them in a bed of shards...
