The sun brightly lit up the balcony belonging to the VIP room - where XIa Jiaying was currently standing to drink the hot chocolate that Tang Yazhu made for her.
Three days have passed since saving her, and Tang Yazhu has been staying with Xia Jiaying in the hotel. Sometimes, they would talk about her plans to achieve her goals and how she planned to ensure the success of the business deal.
While Tang Yazhu was staying with Xia Jiaying though, she did not know that things were happening back at home. Currently, the entire mansion is in an uproar at the disappearance of Young Lady who has been missing for three days!
Early in the morning, Butler Xue had received a call from Long Ning asking about the welfare of Tang Yazhu. However, he could only tell the truth: Young Lady was not at home! In fact, they have not even caught a glimpse of her shadow! They did not even know where to start to find her!
When Long Ning heard the news that Tang Yazhu had gone "missing," he immediately ended the call with Butler Xue and called his own elite teams to go look for his wife. He was only gone for three days and yet his wife was already nowhere to be found…
Long Ning did not want to jump to conclusions, but he needed to know if Tang Yazhu was okay or not. If she was not okay, he would immediately fly back to the country to find her.
Since Tang Yazhu did not know the circumstances that Long Ning was in, she was currently leisurely drinking a cup of green tea and looking at the proposal that Xia Jiaying prepared for her husband; there were still four days until the business meeting.
Suddenly, Tang Yazhu heard a knock on the door and her brow immediately creased. She did not remember requesting anything, so she found the knock very odd. Thus, she set her cup on the coffee table and signaled Xia Jiaying to stay put. Then, the knocking changed into a loud banging on the door.
"Miss! W-we're being attacked!" the security guard shouted.
"Young Miss! P-please leave now!" the security guard hurriedly screamed.
When Tang Yazhu heard the loud noise outside, she immediately pulled Xia Jiaying to stay by her side and opened the door a tiny bit. Then, she took out her pocket mirror and saw the scene of some of the security guards lying on the floor - staining the floor with blood - and some guys in an all-black suit.
The security guard who was banging on the door earlier had already been shot to death. With this, Tang Yazhu closed and locked the door. Both of the well-known exits were already blocked by people, so she could only pull Xia Jiaying to the kitchen with her as the manager had told her about an escape route that only the Long family could use.
Firstly, Tang Yazhu grabbed five steak knives before opening the big cabinet near the refrigerator. The cabinet was big enough to fit a human and there was a small hidden button that she pressed to show the hidden pathway. She then shoved Xia Jiaying into the hidden pathway before also entering it herself and closing the cabinet door. Right before she closed the door, she heard a loud crash in the room.
"Are we being pursued?" Xia Jiaying asked while walking on the small pathway that led to a place where she did not know of.
"What do you think?" Tang Yazhu asked back.
"I'm sorry… It's my fault that you're in this mess now," Xia Jiaying depressingly apologized.
If something bad were to happen to Tang Yazhu, she would infinitely blame herself.
"Save your sorries. The most important is that we have to get out and survive," Tang Yazhu said while looking behind her from time to time to make sure that they were not being pursued.
After walking the narrow path for a while, they both saw a stairway that led down. Following the endless steps for some time, a door finally showed up.
Tang Yazhu took the lead in opening the door by a crack and using her pocket mirror again. Looking in the mirror, she saw that they were in the underground parking lot.
"Seems like it's clear outside. Let's go," Tang Yazhu told her and walked out.
At the same time, Tang Yazhu also grasped the hand of Xia Jiaying after feeling her trembling. Even though she was calm on the surface, there was still a deep fear that was creeping into her heart. Tang Yazhu understood that her calmness was only a mask.
"Don't worry. I won't let anything bad happen to you," Tang Yazhu assured Xia Jiaying as she let her take a deep breath before having her follow behind her again.
While walking in the underground parking lot, they took many turns and made sure to always hide behind cars just in case there were pursuers in the parking area. Since her car was parked quite far from where they came from, it took a while before they could finally get a glimpse of the red car that she had driven.
Just when they were about twenty steps from her car, Tang Yazhu heard a rain of gunshots pointing their way. Immediately, Tang Yazhu pulled Xia Jiaying to duck down behind the gray car next to them. She could not help but curse many times. Her gun was in her car and she only had steak knives for defense. There was nothing for long-range offense!
The window belonging to the gray car was shattered and filled with bullet holes. This caused Xia Jiaying to tremble as she continued to hear the sounds of the gunshots as she instantly remembered what happened to her and her bodyguards back on the road.
Tang Yazhu knew that if it was only her, she could easily escape - a piece of cake. However, she needed to assure the safety of Xia Jiaying, or else the royal palace would hunt her down, not really. Actually, she was not afraid of the palace, but the party behind the palace. Sadly, the princess would never know about this.
When Tang Yazhu saw the six bastards continuously raining bullets on them, she took out her five steak knives and snuck out. Although she was leaving Xia Jiaying to hide by herself, this was the best way to make sure they could finally reach her car.
Taking advantage of the parked cars to hide, Tang Yazhu immediately threw a knife towards someone that was about ten meters away from her. With a *thud,* the knife struck his chest and he breathed his last breath.
The other five men were shocked, not knowing what had happened until they saw their mate lying coldly on the ground. Almost immediately, they took their positions to hide.
They made sure to maintain their cool, knowing that they had the advantage point as the other party no longer had any weapons whereas they had guns. All they needed to do was kill the little girl and then their mission would be over. Sadly, Tang Yazhu had already pinpointed their locations and she was like a rat as she snuck using loopholes in the parking lot - moving very fast and swiftly.
Throughout that time, Tang Yazhu had already painstakingly killed three men and only needed two more to go. However, there was only one knife left.
When the second to last man spotted Tang Yazhu, he tried to fire his gun. Only, she was much faster and struck him - leaving the knife stuck on his throat.
The last man left alive was currently holding dearly onto his beloved gun as though it was his savior. He did not know that his mates were already lying coldly on the floor.
With no weapons in her hand, Tang Yazhu casually walked to the last man and said in a chillingly murderous voice, "Do you know what happens when someone tries to pick a fight with me?"
As soon as the man heard the voice that was as cold as ice, he immediately trembled in fear - knowing that death was near. Just when he was about to pull the trigger, he heard Tang Yazhu speak again.
"You know it's futile to resist. Why not face me?" Tang Yazhu said without changing her tone.
The man knew that if he made a dirty move, it would only be a matter of time before he would meet the king of hell. However, the instant he saw the person behind him, he was shocked and all that was left on his face was fear.
He could not believe what he was seeing and could only continue to tremble even more as his gun fell out of his hands, and his complexion turned pale.
Her platinum blonde hair was a symbol that allowed everyone to know who was. But, the worse thing was the cold blue eyes that showed a glint of murderous aura, showing him that mercy was not allowed and only death awaited him.
"S-silver F-fox!" he stammered, his voice trembling just from calling out her code name.
They already received the news that she was dead, but yet here she was standing in front of him. He did not want to believe what his eyes were seeing, but this was reality. Even though he wanted to pinch and slap himself, he had no energy to do so as fear was causing his body to freeze up.
"Who's behind this?" Tang Yazhu asked him, purposefully neglecting him calling her Silver Fox.
Tang Yazhu was interested in knowing who was behind this plot.
"I… I don't… know! We… we… were… only… tasked… to… to… accomplish… this… mission," the man stammered when Tang Yazhu looked at him with a deathly gaze, causing him to sweat profusely.
"It's… the truth! I… I really don't know!" the man exclaimed, sweat dripping down his face.
God knows he really did not know anything! They only told him to kill the little girl! He did not know that Silver Fox would be here and that she was still alive! Worse part? She was talking and standing in front of him!
Even if he was given billions, he would not have accepted this mission! He did not have the courage to deal with her even if there were a hundred of him!
"Useless," Tang Yazhu coldly said and instantly smashed his head onto the nearby car.
Due to her fast movement, the man did not even manage to know how he died!
There were no traces of mercy in her eyes. Tang Yazhu simply stared blankly at the dead man on the floor as though he was but a mosquito that she just killed.
Not every assassin knew that she was the empress. Instead, everyone knew that she was number female, the ruthless and deadly Silver Fox. The only people that knew her identity as the empress were the higher-ups.
Finished with killing, Tang Yazhu walked out and pulled the trembling Xia Jiaying into her car.
"A-are they gone?" Xia Jiaying asked.
However, Tang Yazhu kept quiet and pushed Xia Jiaying to the passenger seat as she quickly turned on the car to drive out of the underground parking lot.
Tang Yazhu could sense that in the parking lot, there was still someone lurking around. Thus, she needed to hurriedly leave. She did not want to expose herself even more or allow details of her being alive to be leaked out. Even though the body did not belong to her, they looked too similar.
To prevent someone from following them, Tang Yazhu abandoned her car at the side of a random road - her heart-crushing as she walked away. The car was so beautiful, but she had to abandon it for their safety. After that, they changed their taxis three times to make sure that no one followed them.
Along the way, both of them were extremely quiet. Xia Jiaying wanted to ask questions on what happened to the people that fired the bullets, but she could only stay silent as they were in public. In the few days that she was with Tang Yazhu, she could sense that she was not just an ordinary chef - there was more to her.
No matter how curious Xia Jiaying was, she would keep her mouth shut. Tang Yazhu had already saved her twice. She was not so naive to ask more questions when the person already chose to not tell her anything. In the end, she just followed her quietly even though she did not know where they were right now.
As of right now, they just entered a place called Green Plains Villa. Then, they began to walk around aimlessly. While walking, Xia Jiaying saw a few big villas.
Then, they entered a big silver gate and Xia Jiaying saw the beautiful alignment of trees on both sides of the road. Although she was tired from all the walking, she did not let out a word of complaint. When she saw a big villa come up again and noticed that this was the destination of Tang Yazhu, she finally let a sigh of relief come out.
There were some people outside of the mansion running back and forth rampantly about. Xia Jiaying did not know what was going on.
Well, the servants who finally saw the sight of their young lady who had not been home for three days were currently about to burst into tears as they all gathered up at the front.
"Young Lady!" they all called and cried out.
If only Tang Yazhu knew how much torture and pressure they have been through! If they still did not catch a glimpse of her, they were afraid that their young master would be the life out of them!
