AND THERE IT WAS AGAIN. Her name...Atia, it seemed she was the main cause of everyones demise, what was so special about her?
"Who's Atia?" He simply asked, if she was the cause of such hatred that surrounded him, there had to be some reason as to why. What did Marcel do that made everyone hate him so much.
"She was a friend." Was her simple reply, but it wasn't enough. Besides from killing her, what could've Marcel done to have been cursed for eternity? This Atia women must've been an important person in Emily's life, to have done that to Marcel.
Questions after questions, ransacked his mind, so may puzzle pieces, pieces he couldn't piece together. Titan had said she was the answer to finding his parents but Emily had told him, yet somehow things really didn't make sense. Why would he need to find Atia if he already knew who they were? Was Emily lying or was she hiding a piece of important information?
Emily sighed. Her sigh was of a softly deflating; it was as if a tension had lifted yet left her with a melancholy instead of relief. "We need to keep moving, I'll explain everything when we get back home. At least there, it's safer than here." She continued.
Grayson only nodded in agreement, what else was he to do, if he pressed on for answers she might not even give them to him, just out of spit. So he settled on waiting, eventually she'll have to fess up, if not then there were other ways. His freedom was his only motivation right now and nothing was going to get in the way of that. Not even Emily and her secrets.
Titan had said, the way to getting answers is to find this Atia women, whoever she was. And the only person to lead him to her is Emily, so far his getting there. But Emily had revealed who his parents, something he had waited for so long to find out. Yet, it felt surreal.
A heavy silence settled over them, thicker than the uneasy tension in the atmosphere. That same silence that never left his life. Unsettled eyes glancing unceremoniously around and tried to avoid catching each others glances that passed. 'This was going to be a long journey.' Grayson thought.
ALISON WALKED WITH A STEADY PACE. She had thought she wouldn't be in these walls again, yet here she was, walking its hallways once again.
The hallways has much personality as the rest of the hospital. The floor is a slate grey and the walls dove. Above the ceiling is made from those polystyrene squares laid on grid-like frames.
The light too bright for her eyes after the darkening gloom outside, she founded it abrasive, enough perhaps to bring on one of her migraines that kept on coming lately. She was here because of that malicious monster, Marcel. Her mother laid on one of those hospital bed she'd laid in a few weeks ago.
She held the coffee in her, although the coffee cup was small enough to fit in the palm of a child, holding that magic potent brew only the most hardy of the grown-ups could savour.
There are commercial prints on the wall, tasteful in the dull kind of way. This place certainly isn't run by risk-takers and she guide she should find comfort in that. Above every door she'd passed was a large plastic sign, dark with whit lettering- no fancy fonts, just bold and all-caps.
"Ali!" Someone behind her shouted, just a few meters away from her. Turning, Alison was greeted by her friend Haile, running towards her with concern smearing her eyes.
"Haile?" She spoke.
"Hey I just heard, are you okay?" She asked, Alison's eyes fell to the garnish flowers in Haile's hands, their dampens seeping through. her pollen gloves.
"Yeah..." She said, stopping to take a deep breath. She let it all out in one sigh, narrowing her eyes slightly, as she swallowed down the tears that were about the drop like waterfalls. First her father, now her mother. "I guess...I'm fine." Never did she sound convincing in the slightest.
"Is your mom okay?" Haile asked.
"She's fine, just healing now. The doctor said she should heal quickly due to her rapid healing... but still." Alison replied, the look of sadness never leaving her eyes.
"What happened?" Another questions.
Alison never really told anyone, not even the doctor. She'd informed him of an accident, but her doctor wasn't really convinced in the slightest, he had watched Alison with weary in his eyes. If she'd told them that Marcel had somehow entered her home, it would cause havoc and panic.
Everyone knew a vampire couldn't enter anyones home, without being invited in- so how did Marcel enter her's? Had her mother invited him in? She wouldn't, unless he of course compelled her. But he had to be super close to her to do that?
Whatever he wanted with her aunt, she hoped that she was okay. But it still puzzled her mind as to what he actually wanted with her. There was no doubt her aunt kept secrets, but Alison didn't think they would harm anyone, but then again secrets do more damage than good.
"Marcel, he came looking for my aunt." Alison spoke truthfully.
"What?" Haile spoke, shock brought her more quietness within, a moment to feel her emotions change gear and grind with her soul for what's to come.
"He'd compelled my mom to stab herself if I didn't tell him where my aunt was." She felt guilty for giving him what he wanted, but then again all that mattered was her mother's life in danger and hers. She would've done anything to save her mother's life.
"What did he want with your aunt?" She asked further, a sense of fright went up and down her spine. Marcel was known well around her kind, he'd tormented them for years.
"I don't really know, but he mentioned a name..." Alison stopped, rethinking what he had said. "Someone called... Atia?" She said.
"Atia? Who's Atia?" She asked quickly.
"I don't really know, but if he went to so much trouble they are defiantly important." Alison said.
"So it seems." Haile replied, feeling a sense of interest spark within her. The mystery gripped her with curiosity. "How to we find them?" She said once more.
"I bet my aunt knows how." Alison finished.
"How can you be so sure, maybe he just needed her for a location spell or something?" Haile asked.
"Think about Haile, there are so many witches he could've chosen but instead he was looking for my aunt. And I can't forget the way he spoke her name... with so much hate." Alison said.
"Let's say your aunt was involved somehow, what could she have possibly have done that attracted Marcel on her heels?" Haile asked once more.
Haile had a point, but Alison didn't really know how to answer it her question. She had asked herself that over and over again but still she came up blank.
"I really don't know, but whatever it is...it must of been bad enough to have Marcel after her."
